Even if you have a body like Kim Kardashian, you no fit hold this hotcake down.

I wouldn't resist the body cheesy but you can't put the smallest handcuffs on this smooth criminal.

ileobatojo: It is not illegal to spank/smack your child in Texas, and in majority (if not all) of the United states. Excessive, unreasonable force is what's illegal. Just fyi.

I see these types of people and their kids everyday. It's not because they don't spank that the kids are rotten, it's because they don't discipline.
You have a point.

I know this but believe me, majority of the black people that want to follow this funky philosophy do not know this.

Another thing, I am also an advocate of controlled corporal punishment in schools, which the West disagrees with.

It is unreasonable and insane to think you can raise every child without corporal punishment. People must have access to different methods and should be held accountable for any method they use that goes too far.

dayokanu: I dont see where the kids raised in Nigeria are any better. If they are the ones who grow up into those unruly adults we see everyday then I can tell you the beating of kids is a failed method.
Unruly adult is a function of your society when you grow up and are independent.

No adequate police system, economic frustrations, frustrating beaurocracy etc can lead to unruly adults.

What you should use to judge effects of smacking on kids is how kids behave.

Countries like Japan, South Korea, China, Botswana, Chile and Singapore smack their kids and yet do not have unruly adults. That tells you other factors play a key role in unruly adults. Adults are independent people with capability that is hard to control.

The UK and US also have unruly adults, but just a good police system.

dayokanu: Why is beating an adult bad and beating a minor is good.
You are not responsible for adults and you are not in a position to tell adults what to do.
FamilyRe: Relative´s Spouse Beaten By Brother-in-law (story continud) by Sagamite(m): 3:23pm On Aug 25, 2012
dayokanu: There is a law against beating a minor. Which makes it illegal, There is a law against prostitution in some countries it still doesnt stop people from doing it.
Obviously.

dayokanu: So tell me what you believe its right to beat a minor but wrong to beat an adult?
Yep.

dayokanu: And can you tell us if the beaten children in Nigeria are better behaved than those that were not beaten
You yourself compare the kids you see raised in Naija to the ones you see raised in Texas.

The difference is 7-Up.

For example, you need to tell a 6 year old in UK multiple times to stop something. A Naija raised child (not one with funky parents o) just need to be told once.

J12: Even though I hate marriage, I gotta admit that being single ain't better bro.
Why do you take that position?
FamilyRe: Relative´s Spouse Beaten By Brother-in-law (story continud) by Sagamite(m):
ronkebp: Shebi that is what they want others to believe, that they do not beat their kids, i saw a neighbour of mine, pure white man, hitting his kid, i felt bad for the boy.....but his dad had to discipline him, if you see the back-hand he gave that boy..

Another event happened in the store, a lady had been warning her son, you could hear her from the other side yelling at him, omo, the next thing she was pulling on his ears, as in, turning the ears till it turned red, the boy should be around 10 yrs old and instanta he behaved himself.

Some Nigerian parents with over-sabi attitude, "don't beat a minor", go and live with some of this white parents and see how they really discipline their kids, they know how to reinforce positive behaviours and also know how to punnish negative ones with different methods.Don't take what you watch in the movies to heart at all, all that na for show.
GBAM!

Most do not realise despite the laws of non-smacking, a lot of westerners still do to some degree.

Smacking is the most sane response in some situations. Complete ban of it is just lunatical in my opinion. As you said, different methods!

Raise your child as you see in the movies and see the fcked up product you produce.

jennykadry: .......And I am not saying this because he is here. There are a few men I respect on this forum and Sagamite is one of them. He does not believe in God but I can bet anyone here that he will one day make a great dad and husband. A man who will protect his family with everything he's got. His comments on this forum about his "potential" wife is all the proof I need. Meanwhile I have my own christian brothers bashing their wives like crazy, it is a shame.

I hope sagamite finds God though, cos he is real. cool
Er .......Wrong! grin

I am agnostic deist!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnosticism
"Agnosticism is the view that the truth values of certain claims—especially claims about the existence or non-existence of any deity, but also other religious and metaphysical claims—are unknown and (so far as can be judged) unknowable"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deism
"Deism is a religious philosophy which holds that reason and observation of the natural world, without the need for organized religion, can determine that the universe is the product of a creator. According to deists, God never intervenes in human affairs or suspends the natural laws of the universe. Deists typically reject supernatural events such as prophecy and miracles, tending instead to assert that a god (or "the Supreme Architect" ) does not alter the universe by intervening in it."

No one will ever know about God or find him and you will never see me buying private jet for any pastor. cheesy

dayokanu: Can you read this?

Beating a defenceless minor is acceptable but beating an adult is terrible.

Take that case to a foreign country and see how that woman would fare after beating a minor
Well, foreign countries or people are not always right you know.

If it is sane to be responsible for a minor, you should have all reasonable powers to control them.

These same foreign countries will not jail minors or allow minors vote, hence it is obvious they see sense that minors are not equal to adults, hence can't demand the same rights.

sunnshyn: If you read, believe and can quote that part where God asked his creatures to be fruitful and multiply, I'm also sure you must have read and also believed that part about Adam and Eve...
Nah, I have a better chance of believing other mythologies like Lord of the Rings with the aim of me looking for the Ring.

All those medieval stories are no different to me.

There is no evidence there is a sole progenitor for all humans. That sounds like tosh to me, written by ignorant and unenlightened medieval people.

J.R. Tolkien was a better writer and mythologist.

God did not make a lionness a helper to the Lion. He just made it a co-procreator.

sunnshyn: God doesn't make mistakes. If he thought Adam could do it all alone, he wldnt have made him " a helper" Eve...Sauer, no man's an island!
Sweetie, there is no confirmation that story (Adam and Eve) is true. It might just be myths.

God also made other animals, he did not tell them to share, rather just shag. grin

ijebabe: Whoa! Where did you get those stats from? Is that in Nigeria alone or worldwide? I doubt that undecided
It is simple ratiocination.

See bottom half: https://www.nairaland.com/958447/many-married-men-unhappy/10#11142492

sauer: Good point. Most are too quick to decide that marriage is a good thing, mainly because everyone is doing it. For the person who is able to deal with storms alone, why marry? That's if one's to accept her reasons for marriage.
Marriages are simply overrated. Some can very well survive without it.
Abi o.

When in reality, marriage should get an F grade.

sunnshyn: Which ever way one chooses to deal with his/her storm is the person's prerogative. If you read my comment you quoted, you'll see I said it was "easier" when one has someone to talk to during those moments..

Yea, sometimes I'm aware some people might want to deal with their pains alone...here we talking relationship-based storms. I started this conversation based on what saucer said concerning marriages..and that's still my point of focus. Moving on, I'm not sure how you came about those figures, but I'll still say this. Based on your thoughts of handling storms alone, would be one of the reason IMO why marriages fail. A situation where a partner cannot express displeasure or whatever because he/she chooses to deal with it in solitude, or when a Partner's willing to talk and the other half isn't accessible for whatever reason would be good enough reasons 80% of marriages(according to Sagamite) are miserable...
You have to start realising not everyone likes talking or sharing. And marriage itself can be full of storms just because people enter it. In some cases it might be eaiser to face storms in a marriage, but in other cases, you will not even have a lot of storms if you were single.
CelebritiesRe: Teju & Tobi's Pre-Wedding Photoshoot: Behind The Scenes Video by Sagamite(m): 12:36pm On Aug 25, 2012
sunnshyn: No it isn't bro, weather you choose to be single or married there will ALWAYS be storms. Its harder when one is alone, esp during the stormy periods.
However, its easier when you have a partner, a confidant, someone you can trust so he/she shares in your moments of storms...you get?
Firstly, I thought your definition of storm was relationship based? I was mistaken. grin Secondly, what makes you think everyone wants to share their storm? Don't you think some people are able to deal better with storm in solitude? And some storms are more manageable when the impact only one person? Thirdly, aren't marriage storms very strong considering over half of marriages fail and probably over 80% of marriages are miserable?
CelebritiesRe: Teju & Tobi's Pre-Wedding Photoshoot: Behind The Scenes Video by Sagamite(m): 12:02pm On Aug 25, 2012
sunnshyn: Like I said earlier, shut it! Marriage isn't nonsense...I've seen people worked through their marriages successfully amidst storms and what's not...from what I've learnt so far, esp on NL,no marriage is perfect, it just takes the right mind-set, good communication, and God's grace for it to flourish. Ask my parents!! If yours isn't working, find out what it lacks and work towards it...cheers!
Is it not easier if people stay single?

There will be no storms to face and nothing to compromise and be working for. Isn't it?

Bawss1: It is obvious MBJ is not going to admit to the flaws in his logic and you know it.

The pleasure you get from doing what you are doing here is also subject to the principle of diminishing returns. Give it a rest already.
Look, bruv, it was not only pleasure from humiliating his illogical points that I was getting. It was also a study of the peculiar way people break down when intellectually challenged.

I wanted to show people that jump to say someone is smart how most of such their champion people have their limits. MBJ is not a stewpid person, just like coogar, that is why I refrained from calling them names. They are some of the people some actually respect but I am way too above them intellectually to be personally impressed. I wanted to show how they break under pressure from people that are really intellectually fantastic and superior. And they still amaze me the way they are willing to say red is black when under serious questioning of their reasoning.

Imagine someone saying Brazil is part of the West. Murray is not a successful tennis player. grin In the case of coogar, he claimed 'wish does not have the same meaning as desire'. grin grin grin Just because their moronic ego would not allow them concede a point. Which, unfortunately for them, then leads to more humiliation in the debate.

I just showed what happens when people who are unaware they are not at the intellectual peak, that refuse to be objective and accept logic and facts (because of some ridiculous ego), when challenged intellectually can crack under the intense intellectual pressure. undecided

MBJ is not in the league to debate with me. There are only a handful of people on NL that can. Maybe about 8 that I would not be so arrogant to say I would humiliate. I will not name names so as not create animousity. If I did, you will just see an increase of people trying to debate with me if they are not on the list. grin I will only name one from the about 8 that I have named before, Deepsight. That is someone that is at the intellectual peak to be at the level of debating with me because he is extremely logical, objective and intellectually cutting edge.

I love to categorise.

The traits of the guys in this apex of intellectuals are people who are faultlessly objective, logical and deal with facts. They are also receptive to these 3 things in a debate and are willing to concede a point when based on the 3, not do "I no go carry last" arguments. I have debated with some of these guys before and have observed it.

The next layer are guys that are very intelligent but not at the peak of using objectivity, logic and facts. Solid but not champions in critical thinking, a few holes in their arguments sometimes. This is a very small club of people too on NL. They cannot be more than about 15.

The 3rd layer are the layman's champions (people a layman would call intelligent because they are kind of good, but it is mostly based on popular arguments and they struggle when the issue becomes too complex for their intellect). These are the MBJs, coogars, Kobojunkies, maclatunjis and also the funkadelic debaters. Funkadelics are people that their opinion is always soaked with urban popular philosophy not deep and hardcore critical thinking. They formulate most opinions based on the funky philosophies going on in the Western society, not their own critical thinking.

The next layer are the averages like Beaf.

The next layer are the slows.

Then we have fucktards, cretins, moorons like Horus and deshclones.

Then we have the mental patients. Those that need to be in a mental home like cap28, GenBuhari, Becomerich, queensmith etc.

MBJ had no chance right from the start, I was just toying with him until I decide to use that proposal comparison to finish him off. Some issues are above his level.
