Lemme go straight to the point, I have a friend who's from the south east but reside here in the north, this my friend who's madly in love with a lady who also is from south east and they are preparing for their wedding...
Here is the problem!!! He went for introduction early last month and found out the lady don't have a father (that the mothers bride price was not paid) and according to ibo tradition if a bride price is not paid the children belongs to the mother.(though the suppose father is still very much alive). My friends people are now saying they won't allow him to marry from such a family, he ask me for advice and me I'm from the north and really don't know much about ibo tradition.(as for me oo I will ask him to go for her and damn the consequences that's if there is any). So pls house (especially those from south east) is there any consequences if he go ahead and marry her and who is he going to pay the bride price to.

Nobody can come and stress me for something of just 2days or even a day sef... Me I can't go into borrowing for anybody ooo

Like I earlier said on a similar thread, constitutionally, muslim students have the right to wear hijab in a govt owned christian sch, but the reality on ground is that, govt owned muslim schools in Ilorin would not tolerate christian students to have fellowship [FCS] in their schools. Now, why should christian schools tolerate the use of hijab? If Kwara state govt wants to be fair in this situation, as they are enforcing the use of hijab in all gov't owned schools, they should as well pass the law that all christian student should be allowed to have fellowship in all gov't owned muslim schools. That's fairness and religious tolerance!

I don't know about schools in kwara but sokoto which is purely islamic state allow christians do their fellowship without any form of hindrance... The unity of this country lies in the hand of our religious leaders (muslim/christians) we have alot of schools here in the north (sokoto) that both religion attend muslims are allow to use their veil(ijab) and the christians don't use it. For me I don't see the reason for all this.

You hear some misguided individuals saying "yes let them (north) carry their foodstuffs and go we will survive without them" see guys we all need each other to survive because no nation or even state can leave in isolation. The earlier we resolve this issue the better for all of us
