$60,000.00 per annum will rent two big houses in the USA or Europe, and each house will be larger and better furnished than this apartment in Banana Island. What is the worth of a home in this banana Island? |
Echala:Echala, I will send you an email. |
Tony, Lawyer or Nairalanders, Please post a detailed map of the Ajah area. |
Lawyer and Tony, Great job! You guys are doing a great service to Nigerians in eliminating fraudulent and dodgy land deals. |
@ All This is a call to order. Everyone should learn to appreciate the amount of building data available in this thread and use the information that is good for you. End of name-calling and thrash postings. Let us use this thread to make objective and comparative analysis of materials, costs, and quality of buildings. PEACE! |
I don't believe World Bank / IMF. They can conjure up baseless data obtained fraudulently for all I care. What were the criteria they used in measuring economic development index? Are these meaures objective? IMF can interpret any data in anyway they want, their track record is abysmal to say the least. Name one country in the world that allowed World Bank / IMF to loan them money and intervene in their economic policy and they came out of the arrangement unscathed. Check their records for yourselves and make up your mind if IMF/ World Bank truly care about world development or world domination via indebtedness. |
This is the property section. Find suitable section to pitch your fish business. |

If anyone don't like Am Alone's style, keep it to yourself. The guy takes time to contribute immensely to the broad knowledge base of this thread. He is colourful and flamboyant, that's his way of expressing himself. Any discerning mind, should have the ability to decide what information to put to use. Let us ask meaningful questions and if you want to criticise, criticise objectively. |
Post details and pictures. |

Probably u are not sexy enough! |
This is a complete Idiotic move. I am losing my respect for Sanusi. A case of leaping before thinking and putting the cart before the horse. Simple and common sense would dictate that CBN set up necessary systems in place before even attempting this draconian and dictatorial imposition. IT IS DOOMED! Besides, there is no where on earth that this sort of banking practice is in place. A step in the wrong direction. What will happen to millions of rural dwellers and small business people across the country? How about many illiterate traders? A court challenge will be mounted to stop this madness. |
What a surprise? The owner does not want everyone to know? Is it a secret business? He should be interested in many buyers and get the best deals. Sounds dodgy! |

We need more news like this. May God bless more christian leaders to take up projects like the one above, and expand since the govt is unable to perform. Men of God should take over and prosper the country |
Go to Moore Street, Dublin 1. You will find many African girls in the shopping district. |
Your best bet is to learn the Ika (Agbor) language from your parents, friends, and people who speak the language. Looking for classes to learn the language is far- fetched, as it will not be available anywhere except in Agbor. |
Note: The following info is based on my personal experience. I have lived in two countries in Europe and currently based in the US. Property investment in the US/UK/ EU can be very profitable if you have millions of Euro/ Dollars/ Pounds in cash to finance the projects. If you are going to depend on mortgages then prepare to take a very serious financial hit. This is because cash payments eliminate bank requiements like deposits, life insurance, and property/ home insurance, and high interest payment on the house. Note the life and property insurance is only applicable to UK/EU. Not currently an issue in the US. For example, if you buy a house @ $300,000 / 250,000 Euro/ 220,000 Pounds, with cash payment, you will only need to pay the taxes on the profit you make. But if you buy with mortgage, and say with 10% deposit, you will need to also pay home and life insurance, including taxes. Your monthly mortgage payment + insurance + interest rate payment + property taxes + normal profit taxes = very little or no profit with the current climate. The banks in UK/ US/ EU may not finance the homes because you live outside their areas of operations and the issues of credit history and their ability to verify your income. On the other hand, property investment in Nigeria is more profitable due to: lack of insurance and property taxes. Your profit margin is better, and you can invest with lesser amount because the cost of building or buying is cheaper. Cost and profit analysis for a 5 or 10- year period by comparing UK/ EU/ US with Nigeria and taking all of the above issues into consideration will demonstrate that you are better off in investing in Nigeria. The above contribute largely to the reasons why Nigerians in the diaspora prefer to invest at home (Nigeria). |
