Your dude chose his words well to avoid breaking your heart but it seems you are not hearing what he is saying, leave him alone, if he is yours, he will come back to you, no need to chase after him, he is a grown man who knows what he wants and right now, it is a break from YOU! Don't contact him, deal with your emotions and anticipate he may be gone for good, prepare for the worst so you won't get hurt if he does not come back!
