Imagine buying food that you can't finish all because you can afford it and you end up wasting it while some people are hungry somewhere. Even in your human eyes it's madness not to talk of God the Almighty.

The verse you quoted above talks about doing good deed while you don't publicise it. Imagine giving people money or food and you call the whole camera crew there to record it so that people can praise you. It doesn't make sense and it's a sin.

I think the Bible mentioned something like that too.i.e giving with right hand without your left hand knowing.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has urged Nigerian parents to guide their children and wards against the idea of ‘quick money’, Igbere TV reports.

Acting Chairman of the Commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu gave the advice on Friday when he featured on 'Nagarta' Radio Nigeria, Kaduna, as a special guest.

Magu, who was represented by Head of the EFCC in Kaduna, lamented what he described as the high rate of crimes and internet frauds involving Nigerian youths.

He warned the youth against nurturing the idea of making ‘quick money', saying that the EFCC was watching and would get anyone found wanting at anytime.

The EFCC boss further charged parents and guardians to monitor the activities of their children and wards, “especially as trends show that youth are easy recruits for fraudulent activities.”

In my state during Friday prayer one day, some Christian boys and girls came to throw knockout(banger) in the mosque.When they were caught, people wanted to beat them because they were even claiming that its their right to throw knockout during Christmas but the Imam stopped them.Asked them to go. I was angry because some of them are my friends and I was ashamed for them.
Islam does not teach violent but people do it anyway. So lets not judge peoples character by their religion.

I like somebody who can look beyond their religion and think on their own. I have read in many places where people talk about killings in the Quran without knowing in which situation it was revealed. Bible preaches killings too but we don't see people going and saying it out.
