mikeycharles: You know what's really funny? It's mostly Xiaomi phone users that are installing these mods to fix their bad cameras Did u say bad camera? What a joke. Installing modded camera apps is not surprising, Xiaomi has one of the largest numbers or developer base in the world and their hardware is built in such a way that it can work with a multiple array of software tinkering. Being able to unlock the bootloader officially to harness the full potential of the phone is one reason people will continue to buy Xiaomi phone. Techy lovers and tinkering enthusiasts find it a perfect companion and speak about their adventures, thus the reason you hear so much about it.. Make u try open bootloader for Huawei phone Na. NB: I don't use a Xiaomi phone yet but that doesn't mean I'll speak ill of what I don't understand. |

Brickland is assured. I'm not really concerned about him, am more concerned with people he will derail and most especially concerned at people who look for every opportunity where "wolf" is mentioned to make unnecessary comments. Well God help us all. Good morning ladies and gentlemen and a wonderful day ahead |

Lexusgs430: Thank you Umiambassadors & Umisoldiers for coming to the aid of neednewphone........
He now finally understands the way Umidigi devices works, despite been a rooting expert, I wish him well in his rooting journey (I hope he understands that rooting invalidates his warranty)?.....
I also hope he either enjoys the hybrid sim card, or use one sim and one sd card......
Out of all the problems he listed, the only one I picked was the battery drain. All other so called listed issues, was either user errors or network dependent.......
Kindly update us on battery polarity, using original charging brick and charging cable, that was packed with your device.......... Let him run the updates available via OTA, after which 2-3 charge and discharge cycles will be needed to stabilise his battery and give him optimal performance. Cheers |

Neednewphone: I'm disappointed on this udimi one that I just got today from jumia through Muzik the phone doesn't support 2 sim with sdcard at a go and I bought it cause of glo 4g but glo 4g is not working here in shagamu ogun state and the battery drain too fast despite the fact that I first charged it from 80% follow come to 100% before using it and the screen is too small for my liking and the flashlight is too low the tecno pop1 flashlight is way brighter than it and again it doesn't have option and it doesn't also have option to choose which sim to send message only one sim is allowed to send SMS I'm very sad and not happy about this phone please I'll like a refund so I can go for another option but not this udimigi one Bros as much as I sympathize with you. Next time research before buying a phone, no matter how much. What's to stop you from complaining about the A3 if and when u get it. If you don't like it then put it up for sale and buy ur phone of choice. |

Mizik: i remember i said this once. That's its best to stick with the Charger supplied by the OEM. I got a power bank a few days ago and i noticed that My A3 charges faster when i use the USB cable that came with the power bank so i quickly removed it and used the A3 USB cable instead. That little difference in charging time might not worth it at the end of the day.. Spot on brother. Like I said in an earlier post use the charger that's best suited for Ur device. Not every fast/flash charger is worth the wahala. If u most use then go for a good brand with an intelligent chip that controls charge based on device specs. |

Sgbate: thanks for sharing, was thinking of the same thing, buh what charger do you suggest in any case of replacement? For those whom cost is an issue please stick with Ur stock charger. For those who like variety. Celbro does excellently well, same with an original Samsung adaptive charger for madam's S5 and the floveme charger does great too. These I have tested on the umidigi one and can confirm it does pretty well for both speed and retention. |

versashee: Another observation
While watching Facebook videos, the videos appear to be pixelated (very poor quality).
Is anyone else experiencing same?
I use A3 pro by the way.
Mizik Sgbate The speed of Ur network also affects quality of videos, the resolution is equivalent to the speed of Ur connection. So if Ur network is very fast u can do HD if it's slow then 3gp standard will be obtained. But like lexusgs430 said, try a modified Facebook or YouTube app where u can choose Ur resolution and size allowed |

Morning guys, hope we all had a restful night. I made a small observation yesterday and would want to warn that we stay with our specified chargers when charging our phones.
Me and madam went out yesterday and her phone was low (umidigi one). So we asked our friend to loan us his charger, he brought out one lordbex fast charger with 2 USB ports. Charger was pretty fast, almost as good as the celbro and follow come charger we use at home.
To cut long story short, the phone was full in 1hr 30mins but then I noticed something I've never seen before. In less that 5hrs of minimal use, phone was showing 5%, I was surprised to say the least. This is a phone that stays all day and before you could say jack Robinson, phone was dead.
I just open mouth dey look. Got back home, around 6.30pm and charged the phone with the main charger, was full but past 8pm and even all the night browsing and stuff still had 56% when leaving the house this morning.
So please be careful of th chargers you use. Those things can kill Ur battery |

Phones › Re: UMIDIGI DISCUSSION THREAD by saint2ace(m): 10:47am On Jan 12, 2019 |
Mizik: Sometimes it might also depend on how LONG the phone fast charges! The Note 8 3300mah battery with Quick charge 2.0 charges on 1Hr 30 minutes, the Note 9 4000mah battery with quick charge 2.0 charges in the same 1hr 30 minutes why?? The same 1 hr 30 minutes you get on some flagships phones with 3300mah battery charging with Quick charge 3.0 why?? My 10W charger charges the Superd D1 in the same 1hr 30 minutes why?? The reason why you see some flagships phones charge in 1hr 30 minutes with a QC 3.0 charger and the Note 8 with a slower charger charging at the same time might be because of the difference in how long they fast charge from 1-100%. Plus i don't really support charging with a much higher fast charging technology cos it would hurt the battery on the long run. I charged my Superd D1 with a 2.4a charger and the battery started swelling. As for me I'll rather stick with the charger the oem provides cos at the end of the day the faster you charge the phone the quicker the battery health might depreciate.
They're honestly a lot of factors that determine how quick the phone chargers. Just like what saint2ace said.. Well said bro. And please a note of warning for those who love to use I better pass my neighbour generators to charge Ur phones. Beware it has no Automatic Voltage Regulator AVR so be careful |
