The magic word is pricing. When the promo for the umidigi one was on, stocks were sold out in minutes. But like the business environment we know Naija to be, the law of economics doesn't hold in Naija.

Here the more the demand the higher the price. So people just abandoned the umidigi one as they abandoned the umidigi one pro and focused on a better value for money which is the A3 and A3 pro.

If you ask me, ads can't be moderated on this thread with the number of sellers now.

Check the tweaking thread and you'll be wowed at the traffic there while maintaining the purpose of the thread.

With a single click from the shared link here, potential buyers will land to the sales thread.

I agree with you to a level, but the fact still remains that we are all adults here and so are capable of sticking to rules and regulations, except am mistaken.

So once an agreement is made on the modus operandi then it becomes binding and everyone and anyone who feels inclined to do business on the thread has to abide.

Pretty interesting I must say, but don't we just think a total ban would be pushing it too far?

The idea of making use of an advert thread makes perfect sense but I also think that an advert here or there doesn't harm anyone, the problem is the format and the frequency and the fact that some resellers just drop ads and walk away with making any contribution whatsoever.

I believe the keyword here should be "moderation".

Like I said reposts can be made based on updated pricing, though I really haven't seen that here apart from "promos".

Secondly, the original post can be quoted by the resellers and an addendum added showing the change in price

Why can't reseller just create a PDF template of their pricelist and upload. Once clicked it saves to Ur phone. Whenever you need reminders of various prices, you just open from your phone with or without internet.

That way we don't need to search Nairaland for various sellers and their pricelists cos you already have it on Ur phone.

Secondly, you only post updated listings instead or repeating the same thing over and over again.

Thirdly, the same PDF can be attached to Ur signature and downloaded at will by anyone Interested, all u need is a mention.

For me this would make the thread cleaner and saner. My 2 Kobo....
