There's nothing like tribalism in yorubaland. We're accommodating and welcoming and that's why Yorubaland is developing. It was tinubu who came and changed the status quo by breeding thuggery. Was it Pa Awolowo who wasn't accommodating or who? How many thugs did Pa Awo breed? When tinubu talks, just analyse his words. You'd realise how stinking it is. No good man or leader talks the way he does, just like a drunk man. Is it normal for people to snatch ballot boxes and attack people openly just because they want to end bad governance?

It's not today opposition has been winning in Lagos and Yorubaland? Heaven didn't fall when it happened. Even if another candidate rises tomorrow to contest, urchins will still complain. Jimmy Agbaje was even called an igbo agenda. PDP, an opposition had won Lagos before and it won't be the last for an opposition. All tribes represented here jointly made it happen. Amazingly, most of those preaching tribal messages are among the poorest of the poor. They're badly hit by the policies of bad governance. This is just the beginning. Things can always get better with better people occupying our political space. No more free votes.

By the time Tinubu's empire ends, his supporters will be put where they belong. The end to his empire has just started as you can see. Nothing lasts forever.

Generalization is always dangerous.
But still, the idea remains that virgins these days (and I added "these days" deliberately because the idea that a woman should marry as a virgin is an OLD culture) is often mistaken and misused by some people. The original idea in that old culture, is that a woman married between 13 to 18 years latest.
Today, a woman will come and say she is a virgin at 30.
What type of a woman remains a virgin at 30?
What character does she have to remain virgin at 30?
That is where the OP's observations (and mine too) come into play.
That is the difference.
I have nothing against virgins, but some men these days use it to objectify women beyond common sense.
I wouldn't mind my son marrying an 18 year old virgin. But you see those twenty-something and thirty-something year old virgins?

For me,it is because of the reasons I enumerated before the polls and many more.

Firstly,the north or core north only rallies behind radical,fanatic muslims or Muslims that appear simple,incorrupt,sharia driven,conservative like ahmadu bello,shehu yaradua,buhari etc.atiku lacks these features...

Secondly,the Muslim Muslim ticket is attractive to many core Muslims.they prefer it to a liberal Muslim pairing a southern Christian like atiku.

Thirdly,atiku is not grasstooted or close to the masses.he is too elitist and has no populist movement like buhari or kwankwaso
Fourthly,atiku does not have core loyalists working for him tirelessly.people in the north like tambuwal,saraki,lamido,muazu babangida etc that worked for him are not his loyalists and did so based on being in pdp or monetary reasons.atiku does not believe in loyalty,he thinks money can buy everything.

Finally,the defections were not overwhelming.the apc countered defections in sokoto,kebbi,gombe,jigawa.no governor defected most importantly.additionally,the north felt it was the turn of the south and tinubu having helped return back power to the south should be repaid in the words of gov masari.the na mu na mu by rolams failed,naka sai naka by change the change failed and shinkafa de wake by immaculatejoe failed to materialize.

go and read the constitution and understand it before login to nairaland. A sub section says a candidate with majority of valid votes cast shall be declare winner. That was the section INEC apply to declare BUHARI winner againt Jonathan in 2015

Elections is not emotions or sentiments...it's even not about the numbers of States you win...It's about you winning Majority votes..and winning 25% at 24 States ..The two conditions, once met...even if you win just 5 states to achieve these conditions...you will be declared the winner.

You can vex your annoyance on PDP, NNPP , LP or G5 .. whichever camp you are... this division is the sole reason APC will likely win
