RomanceRe: She Gave Her A Thunderous Slap For Appreciating Her Beauty! by saintneo(m): 5:25pm On Feb 10, 2015
mabeni:
It was a terrible morning for one security man in one of the new generational Banks when a female customer landed a shocking slap on his face. it was gathered that the man trying to appreciate the said woman's beauty but at the process, he innocently said " you are sexy Ma" instead of ""you are not lookin bad Man. This angered her and gave him a regretable slap. it baffles me y so pple cant control their emotions.
Sexy is a very wrong word to use on an unknown woman - it can imply "i wanna get down with you"; however, slapping the man is wrong as well. The best response should have been telling the man mildly to learn how to use words; educate the man on the proper words to use to appreciate women.
PoliticsRe: Uninterrupted Electricity Impossible In Nigeria Now— Power Minister: Prof. Nebo by saintneo(m): 2:52pm On Feb 10, 2015
Seguunod:
Miinister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, says it is impossible to provide constant, uninterrupted electricity to everyone in Nigeria in the near future.

Speaking with newsmen in London over the weekend, the minister said: “Nobody in the world can provide 24/7 electricity everywhere in Nigeria”, adding that 160,000 megawatts would be needed to do that. The current capacity is 4,500 megawatts.
“The cost of providing electricity per megawatt on average is $2billion. To get to where South Africa is, you will need about $3.2trillion (about N672trillion). Where will you find that kind of money?” he asked.

In addition to the huge amount of money involved, Prof. Nebo said power projects also take time to come to fruition, stressing that it takes between four and six years to deliver the power projects.
“You don’t buy these things off the shelves. It takes time to design, study, procure, manufacture, install and commission”, he said, but explained that the government had done so much on generation capacity, transmission and distribution infrastructure, which are key necessities in power supply.

He said 20,000 megawatts was needed to ensure constant power supply to major cities in the country that have been connected to the national grid, but said it would require a lot of resources and time to achieve the feat.

The minister further said the current facilities and infrastructure on the ground had the capacity to provide more than 5,000 megawatts in the country, but lamented that some saboteurs were bent on ensuring that the target is not achieved by vandalising gas pipelines on a regular basis.

He emphasised that the demand for electricity in Nigeria is so huge that “no matter what you do, once electricity gets to a place, people acquire more facilities, buy refrigerators and air-conditioners, and before you know it, what you think is enough for everyone has to be shared by so many people”.

He also said solar power could go a long way in solving Nigeria’s power problems, especially in the rural areas, disclosing that three communities, including Durumi in the suburbs of Abuja, have enjoyed 13 months of uninterrupted electricity since the start of the pilot scheme in December 2013.

I cant imagine this after all the trillion of dollars spent on power by the 16yrs reign of PDP in Nigeria
There is so much embezzlement in the power sector. By my calculations, 1W power generation using solar power and storage systems costs about N150 to N250; thus generating at 1MW should be N250 million and if we include other unforeseen costs N500 million($2.5 million)annually will generate power at the rate of 1MW. Consequently, to produce power at the rate of 160GW we need a budget of $400 billion annually. This is just one-eights of the $3.2 trillion wanted by the minister.

We need optimists to lead this country not pessimistic bureaucrats.

Go and demand your allocation, I am here to speak for my people. If we really want this country to move forward then this sponsorship should be stopped completely. Pilgrimage should be personal; however, until all arms of government stop sponsorship I will continue to demand for equity, fairness and equality.

What agent are you egift? An agent of deceit? huh

There are substantial amount of Christians in the North; SGs in the North sponsor Muslims to the Hajj, then the Christians of these states should be sponsored too. If we truly want equality, equity and fairness, we should stop all these discrimination.

Jonathan can shift it all he want. Deny INEC security, cajole Nigerians, attack Buhari, blame APC, give all the excusses they want and run all the propaganda they want - but one thing certain, Nigerians have decided on changing the failed presidency of Jonathan.

This Opportunity before Nigerians cannot be stolen like other legendary loots Jonathan has presided over.

We are kicking out this failed incompetence. We do not want fancy statistics on paper that does not impact positively on the lives of Nigerians. By all yardsticks, Jonathan has under-performed. Time to go back to Otueke.

This 2015 it is Sai Buhari/Osinbajo all the way!

Nigerians March4Buhari.
APC propagandist-in-chief I hail thee!

First things first, I am disappointed by the shift of election date in this country. The excuse by the military is an arm-twisting move by the PDP led FG; however, I am more disappointed that over 50% of eligible voters in the country are yet to obtain their PVC and non-yoruba are finding it difficult to obtain their PVC in Lagos.
PoliticsRe: Fashola: Release Igbo PVCs. NOW. by saintneo(m): 6:40am On Feb 08, 2015
For this election to be fair, every PVC should be distributed to the true owners. PVC collection in Lagos has been dubious, INEC staff has not helped matters, I believe that APC is really playing this game to their best.

Yeah, Trust could be costly. I learnt the hardway too.

I had an instruction passed to me verbally via phone. I went ahead with the assignment, thinking the operations manager had his strategy for giving me such instruction. When an investor got furious with the decision, I was blamed and asked to pay the accrued losses from that particular transaction. I learned quickly.

1. If the company's processes hasn't developed to the standard where such can be checked, learn to protect yourself.
What I did was to get a phone with a call recording feature.

Fast forward to my new company, one of the guys made a judgement call based on personal affiliations and objectives and tried to blame the outcome on me. I quickly brought out evidences of conversation and logs.

Peeps now see me as ITK, but i really don't care. So now they keep convo strictly business. I still don't care, what I have learnt is that friendship and team spirit in the work place is great, but being professional is always the best policy. Don't overlook little things, get your story straight, and always have insurance if you feel instruction is not as it should be. Be wise as a serpent but harmless as a dove.
People will definitely see you as ITK but it is not over. You will be pushed beyond your limit and at which point you will rely on God alone.

No matter the guard you put on(phone recording can be denied, text messages can be denied), when the cabal in your organisation means business with you, you will feel like David versus Goliath; at which point only God can intervene.

NB: If you are an atheist please don't take this as an intrusion on your believes, I am only saying what I know and have experienced.

So UNN is the only university from the east that made the list. This tends to say a lot; even the 'almighty' FUTO failed to represent, this goes to show that most FUTO graduates are past examination questions dependent.

PoliticsRe: Photo Of 1983 Newspaper On How Buhari 'diversified' Economy With Soldiers by saintneo(m): 8:56am On Jan 19, 2015
Kenai:
This is a picture from an article in a London newspaper talking about how Muhammadu Buhari used his soldiers to brutalize traders and force them into lowering the prices of their commodities (even below cost price, resulting in massive losses) during his "Essential Commodities" misadventure.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B7l1aNGIAAAvJQW.jpg

So, now I get it. When Buhari was talking about "diversifying" our economy using the Army, Navy and Airforce, this is exactly what he was talking about - using the soldiers to brutalize citizens. This is what you get from a man with zero knowledge regarding Commerce and Economics. A man who knows nothing about demand-and-supply dynamics is too unintelligent to know that oil price is not "stabilized" using force.

I've said it and will say it again: Buhari is another NORTH KOREA waiting to happen.

I was a baby during Buhari's initial shot at leading Nigeria. A one-sided story is never a balanced story, you can ask Chiamanda, she knows a lot about dangers of a single story. Most stories I heard about Buhari's were of brutality, war against indiscipline and partial justice. I haver being against Buhari because of his military background, the northern olicargy desparation for power, his sharia inclination; however, I must say that I'm better informed about Buhari now. Buhari as MR HONESTY didn't start today; also, having recognised another honest individual in Late Prof. Mrs Dora Akunyili while working together in PTF, I believe he does encourage good governance. I salute this man, he is a man of integrity.

Secondly, I think we are experiencing a déjà vu in this country; democracy breeds corruption especially when the different arms of government and law enforcement agencies are not independent and not properly enhanced/enabled to do their jobs, democracy breeds corruption when we allow corrupt minds to rule this country. Oil, our most priced asset in this economy fell by nearly 60% when Buhari took the mantle of government, but his leadership style failed because of his military methods. The questions arising now are: how will Buhari lead without the use of brute force, how will Buhari lead with people like Tinubu by his side, who will be the technocrats in his administration?
This not just a second shot for Buhari to lead Nigeria, it is a second shot for Nigerians to do things the positive way; we need to elect credible people for councilors, chairmen, representatives, congressmen, governors, senators, president into power. We need to encourage judicial equity and support law enforcement officers.
Anyone that wins the presidential election Buhari or Jonathan, neither of them will be able to move the country forward with the support of Nigerians in a positive way.
