modhream: Get off ur lazy-ass,get the Constitution, read and be informed.Stop making a show of ur ignorance here. You are the one being ignorant. My reference simply points at bye-election, while you were arguing an accepted part of the constitution. Before you start rolling out your drums of insults, kindly go through the thread again. I detest it when people try to sound intelligent by insulting others when corrected. |
modhream: You are so wrong. There was/had been no modification of Electoral laws,it has been so constitutionally since the advent of this republic. The Speaker is expected to hold the office of Acting Governor of a state for 3 months,if the office becomes vacant by reason of death, resignation, incapacitation, impeachment or any other reason,of the office holder,at a period when the office of the Deputy Governor is also vacant.Elections are expected to hold within that 3 months to fill said vacant posts n winners of said election serve out what remains of the term of the previous office holder.Same thing holds true for the office of the President if it becomes vacant during a period when the office of the Vice President is also vacant.I think you missed this one mate |
egift: The winner will be eligible. That is what Jonathan is muscling through in the various court cases that went to his favour. Our constitution is actually silent on that. So the court are left to interpret it. So after President Jonathan completed his tenure for President Yar'Adua, he now have eligibility to two additional tenure.Exactly my thoughts. Adamawa will be in some deepshit next year. Bending the rules will never work. We need to understand the first principle. Why would a politician contest for an election to which he/she will be contesting again in less than four years? A lot of financial muscle is needed in gubernatorial elections. Why the waste of money? Also, what do we expect of a 6 month governor except looting and abuse office? Furthermore, what would be the agenda of a 6month governor? What will he/she achieve in such a limited time? This is complete lack of continuity. The bills of the Senators & Congressmen should be properly revised before been past into law. This BYE-ELECTIONS law is totally flawed. |
femostic6: Pls who knw how to build a smal inverterPM me |
Obinoscopy: Our Electoral Laws has been modified. When a governor and deputy are impeached, a Bye Election (and not main election) is conducted. Thus since it's a bye election, whoever wins only completes the tenure of the impeached governor. When the tenure expires, a fresh election is conducted.Thanks. I think skewed dates should be immaterial. The law that was created to enable BYE-ELECTIONS is wrong. Moreover, the security of Nigeria is always over stretched as a result of multiple elections in all states of the federation conducted at the same time. I believe law should be revisited. |
Hello Political Analysts of Nairaland. I got the news about the recent stepdown of Ribadu and many other contestants for the Adamawa gubernatorial elections, and I am really confused about the reason why there will be another election in Adamawa next year 2015 instead of in four years time 2018. The governor was impeached, the deputy resigned; thus continuation of their joint mandate has been terminated. The acting governor also the Speaker of Adamawa HA can only stay in office for three months; consequently, the need for the elections in 2014. Constitutionally, an elected Governor must govern for four years unless he/she is impeached, he/she resigns, or he/she dies in office. Based on the news, I understand that there will be another election next year for the same position. 1. I wish to know why there will be elections for Adamawa governorship position twice in less than one year without any impeachment, resignation or death of the governor? 2. Is this supported by our constitution? 3. Is this not a waste of monetary and human resources by INEC? 4. Would the governor elected in 2014 not claim that his/her mandate is being violated if another election holds next year? I'm really confused. Please guys let's discuss this issue. |

Ogbonaikenna: my friend stop talking rubbish and answer my question Did the german appologies for her role in the holocaust? Yes or onNna je zuo ike |
Jakpon: The allegation was made by Dr Stephen Davies, an Australian man against Ihejirika, an ibo man and Ali Modu Sheriff, a Kanuri man. The Yorubas are not involved in your show of shame. Leave the southwest out of your madness.Did the Negotiator say\name the Retired General& Do you know how many Retired Generals we have in Nigeria& Conclusions like yours put people in harms way• |
Ogbonaikenna: have the germans appologies? Has nigeria appologies?I think the Frenchs and Germans have gone beyond that stage. Both countries are the brains behind most of EU development. |
Ogbonaikenna: Did your town partake in the pogrom and genocide of 1967-1970? @opAs onye Igbo like U, I must say that I'm disappointed with your post. Hatred forever keeps us in doldrums. I wonder if the Germans and Frenchs hate themselves this way. |
Noblezone just wrote a lot of nonsense that makes sense Just wanna share that post |
Soon the world will return to the middle-east for war. |
To be realistic, the woman is selfish. It is better to prevent the spread of ebola than to cure it. Nobody can tell how wide it can go but a little effort from health professionals can stop the spread. |
This post is not particularly a response to this thread. I don't know what to do anymore. I find it difficult to carry the guilt of sin, yet the so called MOGs are making a mockery of the teachings of Jesus Christ. People commit atrocities and cover it up, and make everyone think they are the holiest of holys. This world is truly of the devil. Prayer: Father as I struggle in this life to be successful please help me to continue to grow in your faithfulness and righteousness. Amen. |
gentlemen, enough of these bad talks. |
I think the first symptom of ebola is brain damage. With all the information available why do people run away to go and infect other people. Most people infected always loose their rational thinking faculty. Disclaimer: This is the thought of an angry observer. |
dorox: I can give you the answer right now, but a mathematical solution would have to wait until much later tonight when I get home, it is kind of akward using the phone to write out a mathematical solution.it is there already maybe u didn't understand the code. G: 16r>> 16r>> 16r>> 10w>> 10w>> 16r>> 16r B: 12w>> 12w>> 12w>> 12w>> 20r>> 12w>> 12w>> 8w *** 16r = 16km ride and 10w = 10km walk for girl and 12w = 12km walk, 8w = 8km walk and 20r = 20km ride for boy each ride or walk takes 1hr only the 8w takes 40mins *** G = girl's routine B = boy's routine |
dorox: Nice try, I am impressed, but your answer is a bit off the mark especially the first one, the second one is much closer.OK. i hope it won't take one year before you provide the ultimate solution. |

purplesummer: If both husband and wife are complete olodo, they can't turn their child to Albert Einstein by breastfeeding him for 3years. Genetics play a major role in a child's Intelligence quotient.a crazy woman can give birth to a genius. A child needs to meet the proper challenges to develop intellectually. |
I don't know if you guys experience it too. glo-hsi has been bullshït for about a month now. No 3G network just 2G or even G network. This is happening to me in PH. Do others have same problem? |
johnwell: Bullet:Thanks a lot. Could you help with these too.....please Seeing a pear tree producing fruits. 3. Seeing a dead relative in the dream, you were trying to help/entertain him but there were challenges to stop you from performing the task. When you overcome these challenges, before you can render the help or entertain the relative, you suddenly wake up. (This dream happened twice - two consecutive nights, the deceased relative is the father.) 4. Seeing a man dressed in white asking you what you want? The responses by dreamer can be likened to PS 51 and PS 26. (This dream happened twice - two consecutive be nights, first an old man, the a young man) Johnwell ..... what could these imply? |
1. Residing near a drug addict. The drug addict was playing very loud music, so loud you can't feel yourself alive. In other to get things normal, you paid the drug addict a visit and to inform him of the extra loud noise emanating from his apartment. Upon hearing your complain, he picks up a gun and shoot at you; however, the bullets missed you, you even felt the bullet move past your ear. As a normal human being, you BOLTED faster than Usain Bolt, and hid yourself in another flat not belonging to you. The drug addict searched and searched for you so as to empty his gun into your flesh. Then, the occupants of the flats you hid in ferried you away in an enclosed trolley. |
