Idrismusty97: In essence you are saying Solomon didn't break the law of Fornication. It is very Ok for Christians to have intercourse with someone they are engage to or someone they wish to marry. No wonder all i see in movies and musics is sex, no wonder teenagers and single people are openly narrating their sex experience in the romance section and still called themselves Christians without shame. Since fornication is no longer a sin it should be scrapped out of the bible then. After all man can modify the Bible as he pleases. Catholics has theirs anyway...Is this what you are trying to say?I believe that you've got my point. Fornication and adultery are not the same. Now time to delve into the fornication topic. First, the world is filled with wickedness and deceit. Second we are in the New testament which is governed by the two commandments of love. If you love your neighbour, you will not go around sampling different people not that I am encouraging people to have sex before marriage. Men engage in sex these days to satisfy their loins that's selfishness and it is against the law of loving your neighbour as yourself. If the boy were to find himself in the girl's shoes, I doubt if he will part with his priced asset, thus men/boys that engaging in sexual activities so as to satisfy their sexual urge are not loving their neighbour as themselves.(I'm a witness to this it is very sickening to the soul). Women/girls who engage in such fail the second New commandment as well. The next question going through your mind will be that so far there is agreement between both parties then it is not a sin.......No it is a sin. Your body belongs to God, any attempt to give it to the devil makes you guilty of the first New commandment, Love God. Without much ado, songs of Solomon is meant to be used by married couples. |
Idrismusty97: You have completely deflected from the topic. Weren't you once speaking about the 7th commandments(Adultery) so i gave you examples on how Solomon broke it. Solomon has more concubines than wives and according to the Hebrew definition of concubines it means he have sex all of them(Or most of them). They are not his wives, isn't that what adultery is? Sex isn't evil, nobody is saying it is evil. That doesn't means you can jump in bed with anything you see in skirts.I agree I deflected a bit. Solomon didn't break the law. The wikipedia page referenced stated that the only difference between a wife and concubine is dowry(marriage contract). Adultery is sleeping with a married woman(that is not your wife), it is not sleeping with another woman(an unmarried woman). |
I just hope bokoharam doesn't strike. |
Idrismusty97: Do you know the Bible was originally in Hebrew before King James translated it to English. The Hebrew word for concubine is Pilegesh(פילגש) which means a woman staying in the house often for the purpose ofDude, you argument is not pinpointing at anything. Those commandments stated; thou shall not commit adultery, thou shall covet your neighbours wife. Did Solomon sleep with another man's wife? Did Solomon wish to have another man's wife? The answer to both questions is NO. Solomon had wisdom, there was no way he would fault the ten commandments. Now let us reference other bible characters, Judah/Tamar, Obed/Ruth and David/Bethsheba. Judah's son got married to Tamar, the son angered God and his life was terminated, the second son took over but spilled his semen on the floor refusing to impregnate Tamar and God killed him too. Judah decided to hide his third son so as to prevent death from coming to him. Tamar having the right to have family, disguised herself and got impregnated by her father-in-law Judah. Judah had to accept her as a concubine/wife and prevent her from being stoned to death. Ruth after losing her husband, she travelled back with her mother-in-law to Israel. She made herself available for Obed literally and she became the grandmother of David. David first violated the ninth commandment by coveting Bethsheba, then the seventh commandment by sleeping with her despite knowing that she was married to Uriah and finally the sixth commandment by sending Uriah to his death in the battle field. But because of the love between David and God, he was forgiven; he is the man most loved by God not because he kept the commandments but because his relationship with God was more important to him than earthly survival. Sex is not evil, we need to understand the right perspective about sex. If we do, we will understand Songs of Solomon. |
Idrismusty97: Oxford Advanced learner's dictionaryYour definition still killed it. Bianca Ojukwu lived with Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu against her family's wish for many years, can we say that Bianca was Ojukwu's concubine? Let's get it right, non of the 'concubines' were married to another man, consequently, Solomon never violated the seventh or ninth commandment. |
Idrismusty97: Yep. and Solomon has more than 800 concubines and how many wifes?Yes, Solomon had many wives as well as concubines. The 10 commandments didn't stop him from marrying many wives neither did it stop him from having concubines. The seventh commandment stated, "Thou shall not commit adultery"; I don't see anywhere Solomon committed adultery, concubines could be women whom their husbands were dead or girls seeking to be part of Solomon's Harlem. BTW, the afore mentioned deeds of Solomon were part of the old testament. In the new testament, we have only two commandments. 1. Love God and 2. Love your neighbour. Both are based on love, if you let love lead, you will understand that Songs of Solomon is meant to be shared by a married couple. |
Songs of Solomon is meant for married couples I guess. This book, I believe is meant to keep the attraction between a husband and wife. |

this is serious mate. a thread I created today. I pointed at the possible reasons why Nairaland.com went down and the thread is nowhere to be seen. creating a New thread is meaningless because it will be deleted. ------------------------------------------------------ 1. Cramjones! He is my prime suspect. Currently, I noticed that most of the topics that existed during the read-only mode were created in January 2014 or earlier. Cramjones became very popular around this period. Thus, in other to erase all quotes on Cramjones especially after the FFK-swap-gate, Nairaland needed to be choke-slammed. 2. APC! Yes APC! After woefully losing the Ekiti gubernatorial elections, the internet was buzzing about the flawless victory of PDP; because most of APC medium for outreach is via the internet, Nairaland needed to be rock-bottomed. 3. Bosnia-Herzegovina, having lost to Nigeria: they had to retaliate by ramming Nairaland until it derailed. 4. England! Having exited the world cup, England couldn't believe Nigeria was hanging on; thus they sent some virus to the Nairaland host....cloudfare ...lol! 5. more to come .... |
Why was the thread I created in the politics section hidden or removed? Other users created similar thread but theirs are running LIVE on the politics section. I believe I didn't violate any of the rules. I have come to believe that my post is pointing precisely to the reason why Nairaland.com went down recently. Seun, ngwakwe, mynd44, Afameva, OM4J, mukina2 kindly respond. |
Oui! |

I knew he was joking. But we should be aware that jokes do have limits......classic example is the Basketmouth rape joke. |
Seun: Ethel Anderson's case is different. She molested a kid while being black and overweight. That's simply unacceptable. The other teacher was hot. This is not expected of you. |
Chai! You laundered your money, nna make una see craze raised to power infinity. Why would someone launder his money? According to the definition by thefreedicitionary.com & wikipedia.com respectively: Launder: 2 To disguise the source or nature of (illegal funds, for example) by channeling through an intermediate agent. ..... thefreedicitionary.com Money laundering is the process of concealing sources of money. Money evidently gained through crime is "dirty" money, and money that has been "laundered" to appear as if it came from a legitimate source is "clean" money. Money can be laundered by many methods, which vary in complexity and sophistication. ........ wikipedia.com FFK, you keep nailing your coffin with every word you scribe or spit on the internet. How much ill gotten money do you have in you possession? What are the sources of your ill gotten money? Who initiated you into money Laundering? Who are your agents? Your time will come. Just before this post is edited I need to quote you. cramjones: All charges on the 19.5 billion naira Aviation Intervention Fund which were filed against me in July 2008 were dropped two months later for want of evidence and when the EFCC discovered that not only was I the one that exposed, investigated and reported the crime to President Obasanjo and the security agencies but also that the crime took place a few months before I was redeployed to Aviation. It is my predecessor in office, Professor Babalola Borisade, that is facing charges on the 19.5 billion naira Aviation Fund and not me and he has been doing so since 2008. My issue with the EFCC has nothing to do with the Aviation Intervention Fund or the stealing of public funds. No money has been reported as being missing under my watch and neither has there been any allegation of theft or misappropiation of one kobo. |
I wonder if Norway ever borrows from the big institutions like World Bank, IMF or EU Central Bank. Over here in Nigeria our politicians are changing party and calling the president incompetent because of low allocations from FG. |
don't be offended nairalanders, just want know how distorted propagation of information can attract people. |
The immediate past Governor, Dr Peter Odili is from Andoni; am I right? Thus, Andoni can't be Ijoid. |
uups! http://m.espn.go.com/soccer/story?storyId=1675167§ion=soccernetfrontpage&top&wjb= Menu ESPNFC Home ESPN Mobile Web Home Amaechi: FIFA is failing gay players ESPN staff January 9, 2014 Former NBA star John Amaechi believes football has a “toxic” approach towards homosexuality and claims FIFA are not doing enough to help gay players in the wake of Thomas Hitzlsperger becoming the most high-profile footballer to come out. #INSERT type:image caption:Former Utah Jazz power forward John Amaechi became the first openly gay NBA player in 2007. END# • FA resignation over gay slur Hitzlsperger, 31, revealed his sexuality in an interview with German newspaper Die Zeit on Wednesday, becoming only the fourth professional footballer to do so after former Norwich forward Justin Fashanu, Swedish lower league player Anton Hysen and Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Robbie Rogers. Amaechi made headlines the world over when he became the first openly gay NBA player in 2007 and he feels that football, like many sports, has a poisonous attitude toward homosexuality. “It isn't a big deal for an awful lot of people, but within sport there is still a problem,” Amaechi said to BBC Sport. "The real problem, especially with football, is that it has never evaluated itself properly. The sport has never understood just how toxic it is. “Football is toxic and not just for gay people -- it's toxic for Asians who want to play the game, it's toxic for women who want to be executives, it's toxic for black people who want to do anything but play. It's toxic in many different ways, but football doesn't see itself like that. “It sees itself as this amazing, wonderful, bold and progressive organisation. As an analogy, it is the fat bloke who looks at himself in the mirror and beaming back at him is an Adonis. It's a self-image that bears no resemblance on reality. “Footballers coming out at the highest level will happen only as the product of a cultural change within the game. It will not be the precursor to cultural change in football. If you want to see people being who they are, coming out and playing at their very best because they're able to be who they are, then the culture of football must change first.” Amaechi pointed the finger directly at FIFA, accusing world football’s governing body of being run by “neanderthals” and criticising the organisation for failing to combat homophobia or provide adequate support for gay players. "I think it is a good thing Hitzlsperger has done, he is held in positive regard as a role model,” Amaechi told the Mirror. "The truth is the people who run football are the ones creating this environment. The fans follow the implicit lack of breadth when it comes to issues of difference from the top. "[FIFA president Sepp] Blatter couldn't have a job anywhere else. In an equivalent corporate environment he would be out in a day. Neanderthals seem to be only able to hang on to power in sport. They could sort it out in two years, but it is way behind. "It takes actions, not just pretty posters. Until they stab in the heart the ignorance, mythology and nonsense which is around bigotry then nothing will change. They are loath to do that, because it will involve some self-examination [which] they are not comfortable with. They refuse to hire people who will educate and challenge them." Hitzlsperger decision to publicly reveal his sexuality has been hailed by figures in the football world and beyond, with his former Stuttgart teammate Timo Hildebrand, now of Schalke, saying on Facebook: “My deepest respect, Hitze. Very courageous!” Elsewhere, the spokesman for German Chancellor Angela Merkel said: “We live in a country where nobody should be afraid of acknowledging their sexuality for fear of intolerance. And I think that as a country, as a society, we've made enormous progress in this area. We judge footballers by whether they conduct themselves well and with dignity on and off the pitch, and I believe both are true for Mr. Hitzlsperger." |
some of these pictures depict anger. I even noticed one that looks like a sexual scene. benJAVA hope you inspiration does not come from anger. |

I love the forensic analysis of the dubious edits that occurred on wikipedia yesterday and today just to sell the negative stories about the aviation minister. Those idiots never knew that there will be trails and fingerprints left on wikipedia; most of all, they thought we are that stupid to believe every nonsense on the web. Shame on sahara reporters! Shame on the axis of evil in Nigeria! Shame on the losers in the aviation industry! Shame on the people who had in the past milked the aviation industry to the fullest! Shame on enemies of progress! Shame on FFK! Shame on all idiots that reproduced this fake story! The TRUTH is never clothed, it is naked. |
