Bauchi State Government through its Ministry of Works, Lands and Housing, has revoked a 2013 "Certificate of Occupancy" granted Raymond Dokpesi's DA'AR Communication Plc. The letter dated 23rd August, 2016 and entitled "Withdrawal order in respect of right of occupancy No. BA/35713 for overriding public interest" was addressed to the Head of Station, DA'AR Communication Plc,Tirwun, Maiduguri Road, Bauchi. Travelers who were heading from Minna, Niger state to Abuja were involved in a ghastly accident this morning after their vehicle, a Toyota Hilux with registration number FST 220 DS ran into a ditch on the road. The survivors who are seriously injured have been rushed to the General hospital in Maitrama, Abuja. More photos after the cut. Wife of Oyo State Governor, Mrs Florence Ajimobi has honoured the traffic policewoman, Maryam, who was spotted controlling traffic under the rain few days ago. Mrs Ajimobi presented a letter of commendation and cash gift to Maryam through the commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs Atinuke Osunkoya at the Police Headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan on Thursday, August 4th. This happened in Lagos today August 5th. According to one of the passengers, he and some others boarded a bus from Ajah to CMS for N250. When they got to Ikate roundabout, the driver and conductor of the bus suddenly decided that they didn't want to continue the journey anymore and would transfer all the passengers to another bus. Unfortunately for them, older women in the bus resisted the change. They demanded that they will not leave the bus and it must also take them to their agreed destination. The conductor tried to resist but one of the women grabbed his shirt and held her ground. Seeing that there was no other way out, he quickly jumped into the canal by the side of the road and refused to come out. After a while he eventually dragged himself out and returned the transport fare to other passengers who agreed to enter another bus.
