Gerrard59: Reputable universities? Yes. Better Ghana which has quite a number of reputable universities. As bad as Nigeria is, no school in Benin Republic can be compared to a recognised institution in Nigeria.
OP intends pursuing his MSc abroad and reputable universities even in the UK (that loves foreign students' monies) don't accept degrees from Benin Republic.
This is from UCL, a world class university.
https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/graduate/taught-degrees/data-science-msc
Unless OP desires going to schools where anything goes, then he's free to head to Benin. However, if he decides to work after studies overseas, going to a reputable university aids such cause. If not, he'd find himself in Nigeria immediately after his studies in a "university where anything goes". Also remember that he'd likely sponsor himself and should get value for money. lol you only mentioned ucl what happened to other good universities in UK?what about Canada and USA? I know a lot there graduates that are currently doing there post graduate in all these countries... |

Gerrard59: There are no good schools in Benin Republic. Harsh but true. Many foreign universities have directives regarding the country where an applicant graduated from and the possibility of applying to study in the university. Chad, Benin Republic and Niger Republic are examples of such countries.
It will be a waste of money. so in a nutshell foreign universities have blacklisted all the students that graduated from benin republic not to give them admission? |
Education › Re: Am I Too Old To Further My Education? by saipn: 11:47am On Apr 25, 2019 |
Gerrard59: Since you intend going abroad for your MSc, the best option is a DE into a federal university preferably a four-year program. Going to Benin Republic isn't a better option considering your MSc plans.
When you get admitted through DE, do your very best and if possible graduate with a first class. It will afford you opportunities for scholarships and its likes.
BTW, you're not old. Ayodele Dada graduated at the age of 29 and is currently a Knight-Hennessy scholar at Stanford University. Yet another reason why you should aim to finish with a first class. Kindly tell us why benin republic is not a better because of his msc plan abroad |

Politics › Re: Kwara State Government Collects New Loan by saipn: 8:27pm On Mar 03, 2019 |
Adbash: The Kwara State government has explained why it obtained N1 billionloan from a bank last week. A group known as Kwara Coalition for Good Governance and Accountability (Kwara-CGGA) had asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe the N1 billion loan obtained by the state government . In a statement by its secretary general, Hassan Omoiya, the group said it has intelligence that the state government obtained the loan on 13th February from a first generation bank using the remittance of Kwara State VAT allocation due in February and March 2019 as collateral. But, the state government in a statement by the state commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Demola Banu said, (Owing to the consistently low and unstable federal allocation, the state government often secures short term loans from banks to augment inflows to meet monthly obligations. "These obligations include salaries, pensions and overheads as well as liabilities such as payments to contractors and gratuity arrears. States affected by the consistent drop in monthly allocation often augment the shortfall with bank loans. Kwara State is no exception. (Additionally, banks only grant loans following due diligence which examines the capacity to repay and what the facility will be used for. Any facility obtained by the state government, therefore, goes only towards budgeted expenditure. "It is through this prudent management of funds that we are able to pay salaries, pensions and subventions as well as fund major infrastructure besides providing repayment guarantees. This administration will also liquidate these short term loan interventions by or before it leaves office." Kwara Coalition for Good Governance and Accountability (Kwara-CGGA statement reads in part: "We urge the EFCC and indeed the Federal Ministry of Finance to determine the appropriateness of utilisation of credit facility of N1 billion by Kwara State Government at the twilight of general elections and the status of VAT Account as collateral for the credit facility in the absence of prior approval and authorisation from Debt Management Office and Federal Ministry of Finance in tandem with extant laws and regulation on granting of loan to state governments. It is our expectation that your investigation will extend to individuals and corporate institutions that participated in the unwholesome act with a view of prosecuting the affected individuals and institutions with attendant cost and penalty." bro I sent u pm pls reply |

Grupo: Why are most people misunderstanding @zamirikpo's post? He did not ask anybody to start discussing politics but to talk about how the politics in the coming days could affect our investments. I don't think that's wrong in anyway, but as usual, the many emotional people we have here will always allow their emotions go before them.
For instance, I'm thinking of going to the bank on Monday or Tuesday to fill a form for 364 days bid. But honestly, my mind is telling me to still wait a bit.
Anyway, if I pray to my ancestors from today till tomorrow and they give me a go ahead, I'll fill the form and face the consequences, whether good or bad. lol so it is the issue of CJN that will collapse Nigeria? you are funny.... |

socialmediaman: I think I agree with you to some extent.
But you must understand that if Buhari gets up to 25% in any state in the SE and SS except Edo, it’s a miracle. Even supporters of Amaechi in Rivers and those of Akpabio in A Ibom will hardly give their votes to Buhari even if they vote APC at the governorship election.
SW states will be divided almost 50-50, Atiku will get some states in NE and maybe up to 30% in other NE states, Kano and Sokoto.
Middle belt may likely be the decider here. My prediction is that Atiku will win in most middle belt states though not with high margins, but a win is a win.
So tell me, who do you think could be the winner here? point of correction don't be deceived by online tigers south west is locked down for buhari it can never be 50-50 Buhari will win with great margin in south west |

Godbpraised: In general Canada is good for kids and young men of 21 to 29 years. If you a man and u are above 30 and u are earning 7M, please stay in Nigeria. Canada has been set up such that 50% of ur earnings stays in Canada, that's taxes of 50%. Someone says you can earn $150k I laugh, that salary role is for CIO or senior executives. Guys before u reach that level here it may take a while. I was telling some one yesterday if I get commissioner role in my state in Nigeria. I will leave my family here in Canada. In Canada lots of people work just to pay Bill's and are indebted. Again Canada is good for young men and kids as well as women. Opportunities are in Canada, however if you are doing very well in Nigeria u can move ur family to Canada. Whilst u hustle in Nigeria as a man, with a strong agreement with ur wife before leaving. It means if you are above 30 Canada is not too good for that person? |
