Injustice for all by the year 2012!! Similar incident, nearly 20 years ago now. My mom saved the day (fortunately for me). Had a pistol placed on the bridge of my nose. I'll decline describing the state of inebriation & other peculiarities of the "law-enforcement officers" that night. A few "eternities" later, he was convinced gunning me down would serve a higher purpose. We were all forced to make light of the situation & departed as chatter-friends. |
How so true! On a sister thread, I made mention of how my CoMonth doesn't stay connected long enough for meaningful use. My bro's own DOES browse - at the expense of his airtime. My sister's own keeps flicking between EDGE & 3G but NEVER browses. And I've MET so many people with similar woes. What can we do?! |

Funny enough, I didn't notice the emboldened phrase until Hillsate mentioned it. Are we inferring he may passed out some wraps previously? Is that what they're saying (claiming)? Is that what my boys are thinking? Or am I the one who simply talks too much . . . . . . . |
Actually, the joke's on the judge who granted the injunction: theoretically, how long does it take to pass out ingested substances, even in chronically constipated individuals? Unless he somehow managed to stitch the wraps to his innards . . . . . . |
mummy3:You couldn't have spoken sooner. My Glo CoMonth hasn't been on 20mins continuously since subscribed on 23rd September. Sadly, it gulps airtime for no apparent nor just reason too. Airtel fares slightly better but frequent service cuts make wonder why I believed better days were here already. MTN? The Bleep?! Etisalat is ok when they're not experiencing downtime either. I'll side with you on having all 4 SIMs. Even a 5th & 6th for extra measure |
No probs. Merely caught my attention |
And has anyone been able to browse with Airtel or Glo in the past week (in Ilorin)? Makes me wish some people great harm |
Nah, doesn't work. Feed me something else |
@Apocalypse Why?! Why would you remember Moonlighting yet forget Dempsey & Makepeace? Whyi?! Who mentioned Shmoo? Man, you rock!!!! All the Hanna-Barbera flicks of the '70s were the greatest!!! Remember Herculoids? Or Great Ape? How about the Voltron made up of vehicles (that's right, I'm also into anime) |

princebawa? Gotcha! |
Ask a friend or two. More people have Ubuntu discs/thumbdrives than you'd care to know. But you've gotta ask from likely sources. Or download an x64 or i686 disc, depending on your device architecture (about 700MB each). Good luck |
Actually, Ubuntu's ok (Debian-based) but I'm a Fedora guy (from the days of RHL). But if you dont like scripts, you may not tolerate it well. The best (good & better) stuff can almost always be done at the console only. But this thread is all about Ubuntu. Here goes nothing: If for no other reason other than you're new to the Linux experience and should find it easier migrating to Windows-like interface initially, I recommend Ubuntu (the CDs should be sufficient). I know guys who've got every release till date (I do). Better yet, there are different flavoured distros (Kubuntu[KDE], Xubuntu [Xfce]) and customized distros (Mythbuntu, Edubuntu), etc. You really can't go wrong. customized distros (Mythbuntu, Edubuntu), etc. You really can't go wrong.d distros (Mythbuntu, Edubuntu), etc. You really can't go wrong. customized distros (Mythbuntu, Edubuntu), etc. You really can't go wrong. |
Positive reviews? Well, lemme do you a.better one, 4 out of 5 for reviews (you surely know I need to keep that last star). I love guys who deliver on their word. Trust means a lot in biz as it engenders goodwill. I think I'll be giving my Desire S out. Why? I wanna try a Sensation. How low can you go? omodaramola@gmail.com |

Nah, I'm ok with the price. Just picked an Xperia (asides an HTC) within the month. I do more than just buy phones for a hobby. The man's got tons of stuff up to his ears, ya know. Law school's a bit of my path but i can send a proxy. Close the deal and let's get on with life (and living) |
Eeyah. Was in IB up until 24th. Cd come pick it in IB on Sat. But @ 35k. The rest is up to you |
Any units on sale still? |
Still following up on you. Was privately hoping for a dramatic price crash. Game on nonetheless , |
Still available? |
@apocalypse Not quite subtle, this your hitting on ogugua88 of a thing , |
@desola & @apocalypse I try to keep mum on political issues as much as I can afford to; but you guys (an outstanding duo) are the cream on this thread. Put Tinubu aside, I'd have sworn you guys are sour lovers - if I didn't know better. And with the impeccable English? My kind of guy & my kind of babe. Too bad you guys can't come to terms with each other. @desola If you think it's truly an attack on Yoruba folk, call a truce & reconcile with your brother @apocalypse I came onto this thread 'cause I was fishing for a certain reply of yours. Be the traditional Yoruba man and overlook whatever slight you may think has been visited upon you (granted, she sparked off the invectives) and CALL THE TRUCE! PM her or whatever (I don't wanna know how you do it) but cajole her to dinner or something. Let the Tams, Bolas & judicial system have a field day. We can predict with near certainty the outcome. Or not. Slugging it out her won't alter a thing. Lastly, do brush your teeth (lest you develop halitosis) & clean out your ears (enough said to cause otitis interna). Peace! PS: What a draft! Can't believe I typed all that gunk |
