Alright we have something to talk about.... And that is ....

The life and ministry of Saint John the Baptist

I did have a brief discussion with some people I incidentally or coincidentally met about the great biblical figure, though brief but quite interesting.

In my subsequent posts, I will put up some questions and bible references to kick start this discussion

NB I am not going to write thesis on his life and ministry but salient questions for discussion.

At the end, what did we learn from his life, ministry and death in connection with Jesus Christ...

Fantasywrita: Christ is Jesus. In Islam we call him prophet Isa.
Thanks.

Now if I may ask, why will the Ad-Dajjal according to islam be Anti-Christ (Jesus) and not Anti-Mohammed?

I suppose we know what Christ means-the anointed one. Can we for any reason also refer to Mohammed as "The Christ? If not then can we unanimously say Jesus is greater than Mohammed?

I don't know if I remotely made the questions clear.

Fantasywrita: Narrated Anas:
The Prophet said, "No prophet was sent but that
he warned his followers against the one-eyed liar
(Ad-Dajjal). Beware! He is blind in one eye, and
your Lord is not so, and there will be written
between his (Ad-Dajjal's) eyes (the word) Kafir
(i.e., disbeliever)." (This Hadith is also quoted by
Abu Huraira and Ibn 'Abbas).

*Note*

Ad-Dajjal is the Anti- Christ.
I don't know if here is the right place to ask but I have to, because of the bold.

If Ad-Dajjal is the anti-Christ, who is this Christ and how?

Ok we've heard him, but how will that stop the Ebola virus from spreading further in this country?

Who knows the said man may have acted on the instruction of the inventors of the said virus and now they refuse us the trial drug to enable the virus spread more to their advantage and economic boost in time to come. embarassed

Syncan: But still we have a wisdom to offer those who have reached maturity: not a philosophy of our age, it is true, still less of the masters of our age, which are coming to their end. The hidden wisdom of God which we teach in our mysteries is the wisdom that God predestined to be for our glory before the ages began. It is a wisdom that none of the masters of this age have ever known, or they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory; we teach what scripture calls: the things that no eye has seen and no ear has heard, things beyond the mind of man, all that God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Cor 2:6-9.

Amen Amen: we teach the communion of saints, knowing that we have a cloud of witnesses Heb 12:1. We profess the Eucharistic Jesus, for the master had said "this is my body" Matt 26:26. We confess our sins and obtain pardon, for the Lord had said "whose sins you forgive is forgiven" Jn 20:23. We love the blessed virgin with a childlike love, for her son, our "brother and co-heir", had given us to her when he adopted us, for He said "...behold thy mother" Jn 19:27 . Yes, Yes, Oh we acknowledge the trinity, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one" 1Jn 5:7. These are things beyond minds of men, yet we teach these; for they are the wisdom of God. It's been taught for two thousand years now, saints have died proclaiming these truths, miracles have followed men as they proclaim these truths, they will remain truths for eternity. Rejoice dear brethren, we are in the fold, listen to the shepherd, obey his voice, and we will be home; safe and dry.

I am a daughter of Thy church, I die a child of the Catholic Church.....Teresa of Avila.

My Faith! My Pride!

Good morning brethren, a splendid day ahead to all.
Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!
Good morning bro
