sometimes I wonder when people comment is it that its difficult to understand the post or is it that some people just like being silly. First of all, the news, post, or topic is incomplete NUC would have elaborated more on what they were refering to cos resit is just bogus when it happens in courses like med, pharmacy e.t.c. How does this have anything to do with private uni, is it complex now or wat that make people to start bring private uni into d post 4 petes sake d post is nt abt private uni, if u have a problem about private uni create a thread abt it which I think is unnecessary tho! This resit thingy is even done abroad but in naija it becomes a problem untill we begin to accept ourselves only then can we move 4ward note to NUC and nigerian uni How can we want to do more than those that brought education to us, no wonder in the top 1000 uni we no follow cos we don't know what we are doing pls let's comment on d half baked incomplete post instead of bringing issues about wats going on in private uni dts nt wat d post is about, that being said NUC should clarify well so we know b4 people go begin they spend 30yrs in uni

Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Artistes To Sue Flavour N'abania Over Song Theft by sallybonne(f): 10:11pm On Aug 24, 2012
mikeapollo:

Truth is bitter but must be told!

Flavour lifted the concept of that song from the Ghana guys' work.

The Ghana guys released their work as far back as 2008, while Flavour's work was released towards the end of 2011.

Most Nigerian musicians singing highlife always tap something from the Ghanaian highlife musicians, who are better at it and more original, but they sing mostly in Ghanaian local languages. But Nigerian musicians sing more in English, so they enjoy some leverage.
Tony Tetuila was the first among the present crop of young Nigerian musicians to tap into the Ghanaian fast temp hip-lfe in the late 1990s and early 2000s, which Nigerians are now calling Afro hip-hop. Ghanaians have been playing their fast tempo hiplife for time immemorial.

What music were people lik Eedris, Tuface, PSquare, Flavour, DBanj, JMartins, Duncan Mighty, Omawumi,Iyanya etc playing 10 years ago? They were all doing some meaningless R&B, American Hip-Hop.
They started playing the hiplfie/afro hip-hop style just about 5 years ago after their exposure to Ghanaian music from STV's MUSIC AFRICA and their traveling and colloborations with Ghanaian musicians.
Infact most of the Afro hip-hop hit songs in Nigeria are less than 5 years in the Market! While it is has always been the hit style in Ghana for over 20 years. I vistited the country(Ghana) severally in the 90s and early 2000s and I witnessed the trend. And even Tony Tetuila acknowledged and confirmed it when he was on tour with TicTac to Ghanaian parties in Ghana and abroad!

We Nigerians just like to copy(or maybe steal) things from other places and then pretend to claim ownership! Very soon we shall claim to be owners of Azonto dance!

And ur point is, reggae music has been on from time immemorial became popular by bob marley jah rest hos soul, u guys wana tell me now dt all d regga artists in naija and beyond should b sued , african prints or should I say ankara has been worn in nigeria since ages past btonly recently started gaining attention wen d foreign celebs started getin dressed in dem, last time it was beyonce dt wore gele 2 d red carpet and modelled in it, nobody complain, so if naija decide to borrow frm ghana weda nw afro abi na hiplife it must b wahala, pls 4 d record we are nt dragging anytin wit ghana, dnt no why any issue bothering ghana and naija have to b so sensitive, u release sth it bcomes a trend u nw want 2 sue ppl following u, abeg, and 4 d azonto dance no one is intrested in claiming it belong to najia for petes sake we have had dances frm yahooze to atlanta, etighi and ddose ones done by dose dancers in ajegunle, small azonto now we no go hear word, ghana u have nt told us your competition wit naija we no dey drag anytin o,haba

Its not about if the golddigger is a man or woman . its about, if a prenup is really necassary and has it checkmated the aims and ways of a goldigger(man\ woman inclusive).

Sisi_Kill: Lmao @ Tgirl cheesy cheesy

@ OP
Google Maddonna and Guy Richie and read all about their divorce wahala! She didn't make him sign a prenup, after the divorce he got a huge payout. Same deal with Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe. Then there is also Roseanne (From the Roseanne show) she went as far as firing her lawyers for even suggesting her gold digging husband Arnold sigh a prenup (I'm telling you, this guy might as well have had GOLD DIGGERY IS MY SPECIALTY tattoted in GOLD on his forehead, that's how obvious he was. When they divorced a couple or so years later, Dude walked away with a cool $90 million. Did I mention he was a lowly writer for some 3rd rate sitcoms when they got married? lipsrsealed

From my observation, women who are considerable wealthier than their spouse don't shove the prenup thingy down the men's throat (they are always like I love him, I trust him, whatever I have is his blah blah blah). It's the men who make a big brouhaha about the whole thing. . . "oh my money, money, She wonno take my hard earned money ooooh! Egba mi!!" Gimme a break!!! cheesy

I like ur comment and yep I googled it o, it seems dis prenup thing is more with the women signing it than the men and maybe younger generations(up coming golddiggers as some people will call them) watching have decided to manoevre a way to go around d obstacle( prenup)
Family / Re: Prenuptial Agreements Vs Gold Diggers: How Effective? by sallybonne(f): 3:26pm On Aug 10, 2012
dare2think:

Only if a foolish man allows such. The man you described in your post falls into that category, the category of utmost foolishness.

A grown man that needed his family to convince him to sign a pre-nupt is not a man in control, hence he is susceptible to a gold digger anyway, with or without a pre-nupt.

=))º°˚°ºнaĦaнaº°˚°º‎=)). But my post is jst an example it can happen to anybody, whether foolish or unfoolish
Family / Re: Prenuptial Agreements Vs Gold Diggers: How Effective? by sallybonne(f): 3:22pm On Aug 10, 2012
Long One: The moral of the story, in my opinion is not to give gifts to your wife in her name if there is a pre-nuptial agreement.
In this case, the pre-nup will still be necessary, as she won’t be able to keep your gold even if she has access to it.

As for your second question, yes I guess.

Haba now, so if u nuy gifts for ur wife let's say a car it must be in ur name or mr and mrs funny but nice comment tho!

Family / Prenuptial Agreements Vs Gold Diggers: How Effective? by sallybonne(f): 11:29am On Aug 10, 2012
A Gold Digger is a Gold Digger With or Without A Prenup

My dear NL in family section I greet, this is my first post I think.

I have a question which was inspired after watching a South African movie and this is it; what is the use of making ur partner (wife) sign a pre-nup when at the end if its your property she's after and she will still get it.

The scenario am about to paint is a black woman who got married to a white south African, his family says she's after his money so she must sign a pre-nup for them to be sure she was not interested in their sons wealth, which she did.

After the wedding, because of the love the husband had for her, he sponsored her on various trips abroad, mostly over budgeted. Any gift the husband gave her was and must always be in her name, from building house for her family to buying a shop, cars and boutiques in her name and all. She made him move outside the area his family was living to another state so they won't have control or say, they were not bothered cos according to them, she signed a prenup.

After running down his company to open hers which were in her name and family members name, she divorced her husband. They could not do anything when they found out cos according to the lawyer, what she now has were gifts given to her by her husband. He was heartbroken and ended up in the psychiatric ward.

So my point is, a gold digger is a gold digger with or with a prenup. Most of them don't need half of your wealth in d case of a divorce, but a means to open their own coy thru ur company.

So from the above case scenario, is prenup really necessary to a gold digger? cos if she wants gold she can stil get it with or without a prenup.

Second question: if its the woman that is rich do men sign prenup? cos I have never heard or seen a man sign prenup b4 marriage, anticipating your constructive comments.

Thanks.

Keep shut, you ignoramus. How can you compare a mere communal head - and there are thousands of them in this funny jungle called Nigeria - to the Queen of England, who is the Head of State of England, the CONSTITUTIONAL monarch of the Commonwealth Realms, and the Supreme Governor of the Church of England. . .whose face is on the national currency? Are you daft or are you just mentally retarded?

To those of you who are asking the foooooolish question "who is Jonathan"? And saying that the Oba of Benin can choose not to see him? Smh. Your ignorance is worse than a terminal disease. You dumb kids don't know anything about constitutionalism and state protocol. The personality of the president is irrelevant, and so is your personal sentiments about him. What matters is the the individual occupying the office of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is the MOST IMPORTANT individual in the land; the embodiment and personification of the Nigerian state, and MUST be respected as such by all other authorities in the land - be they temporal, spiritual, political, social, or legal.

The Oba of Benin, with due respect to the handful Bini people that venerate him, is not recognised by the Nigerian consitution. His position is completely devoid of any real significance other than traditional and ceremonial. He cannot overrate his importance in the Nigerian polity, much less arrogate to himself, the prerogative of defying protocol by choosing not to see the president. He realises that, of course, which is why he invited the president into his inner chamber - contrary to the claims of the OP. But for those of you here saying otherwise, you need to get a life. And in case you don't know, the traditional authorities are SUBORDINATE to political authority, and the law empowers even the governor to depose any tradition
