The screening of Ambassadorial nominees began today on a dramatic note as two of the nominee envoys couldn't recite the National anthem and pledge properly. When the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, asked the nominee from Anambra State Vivian Nwunaku Okeke to recite the national anthem, she mixed it up.Also, when she asked Ibrahim Isa, the nominee from Niger state to recite the National Pledge , he mixed it up too.A member of the committee, Senator James Manager (PDP, Delta South) corrected the nominees. But ofcourse the op being a bigot brought it here equally to his illiterate road side shop attendants to spread their hate. Well we dont care, you can wail as long as you like. |
obaival:Would you rather have him wear a single, tie a rapper and cap it all with a silly hat that looks like it has been yaken off directly from a circus clown's head. |
AustineE1:Why are you displaying your ignorance and bigotry to the whole world. Funtua is at a junction that connects Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi States. So basically speaking, this port will serve the 4 states I mentioned above. Gerrit? |
eko and moi moi They served this awful thing on camp sometimes in Osun. How they expect us to eat this, I just dnt know. |
Pheals:Have you ever attended a history or social studies class? I bet you havent based on what you posted above. Besides, those are victims of war. The least you can do is to show compassion towards them aunty. |
LizGray:Well u have a point. I remember one and only place you will see his head. That is if he goes for hajj or umrah again. Besides that you wont see it. |
What criteria is jamb using in posting candidates? Do they consider merit, catchment areas and elds? If so, are they going to send the exact number of candidates each university is going to admit? What if there is a shortfall afer screening and sourcing from other departments cannot fill the slots? is jamb going to send a supplimentary list or the slots will just be wasted? I would like to hear answers for these questions. It is obvious that the whole thing was rushed without due consultation. They should have allowed all universities to conduct their putme this year, then use the whole of the following year to shape sound modalities for implementation. |
LizGray:pele, you wont see his head ever again. |
Call it customised Nigerian English. We dont have to speak English like a Londoner or a New Yorker. I speak like a Nigerian with my own distinct version of English. |
This news is absolute rubbish. What is the name of the actress? Rich ladies are interested in him? A beg tell me something else. Some people are just trying really hard to stoke ethnic and religious tensions. |
tosyne2much:I just wonder why people in the south must taste suya before buying. I was surprised when I saw it. |
If this system is finally implemented, great injustice has been done to students with awaiting results. They have spent their time and money to write JAMB and now they are excluded. It automatically means students will have to waste a year at home before admission and waste another year doing NYSC. It just means a person going for a 4 year course will have to spend 6 years before thinking of getting a job. This is wack. They should have taken their time to perfect the modalities before implimentation. |
Horus:How many of your flat headed bastards were shipped off to the Americas and made to work to death, treated like animals and hanged for no reason. Were they not taken by your fellow christians? Racism is still alive in all European countries countries. Those repatriated went there illegally and are mostly into crime. Racism isnt all about religion but ones own warped feeling of superiority. Christians should not even accuse others for racism and slavery as we can see the result of their heinous crime in the black communities of US and latin America. |
trustperky:I just wonder why you people are so daft. The incident happened in Niger State, a non Hausa state but all what your watery brain can think of is Hausa people. News worse than this emanate from the South daily, but bigotry and hatred for the Hausas makes you say the trash above. |
Oletubo:Oga wey dey Canada, check out this picture.
|
Its their choice. Who am I to judge? |
All I can see are rough edges, poor attention to detail, and poor colour combinations. However, if he has no formal education in architecture, its commendable. If he has, the model is wack. |
Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Birnin Kebbi, Bauchi and the likes have been capital of independent hausa city states for hundreds of years. Colonial masters met such cities as the capital of the emirates within the Sokoto Caliphate with thesame structure like a modern country sub divided into states. The colonial masters retained such cities as the head quarters of the different provinces. After state creation, the states adopted or rather continued using the names such locations used for centuries. The only exception in the North is Kaduna that was a regional head quarter rather than a historic city. |
[quote author=Newnas post=45442777]Friday Islamic and Moral Diet Series (FIMDS) 4 Some people just mispronounce Muslim names and many of us don't see it as a problem. Barring my knowledge of Historical Linguistics, how did Siraaj turn to Suraju, Zulaykhah to Suliya, Khadeejah to Adija, Is'haq to Siaka, Ibraheem to Brahimo or Buremo, 'Aasiyah to Siata, Dhikrullah to Sikiru, Sa'eed to Saidi, Moryam to Mori, Shaakirah to Saki, Ridwan to Riliwan, Misbah to Musibau, Zulfah to Silifa, Sofiyyah to Sefiya, 'Abdulmojeed to Mojidi, and Najmuddeen to Naajimu, Fadheelah to Fali, Faatihah to Fetia and so on? I know some prominent OPC members called Kasimu Sànpòn-ná, Wasiu Akerese, Taofiki Agbónonlé and Taoridi Sangoté. What happened to Qoosim, 'AbdulWas'i, Tawfiq and Tawheed? Is it because they were not even Muslims? There are Yoruba films titled Muniru ati Ambali, Jelili Oniso, Monsuru, Monsuratu, Mufu Olóòsà Oko, Aminatu, Sikiratu Sindodo, Aafa Sule et cetera. How did these names change from Muneer and Hambal, Abduljeleel, Miftah, Aameenah and Sulaymon? Are the producers ignoramuses or they have an axe to grind? Are we suffering from inferiority complex? [b]Only a joker answers to a corrupted Muslim name. Your freedom begins from what you accept as your name or your child's name. 'When the child is born, one of the first ways in which he is to be honoured is by giving him a good name, because a good name will have a good impact on the heart when it is first heard.'[/b Op, Sulaymon, Moryam and Abdulmojeed are a corrupt version of Sulaiman, Maryam and Abdulmajeed. Arabic does not have the vowel 'o'. Yorubas just tend to replace fat'ha with an 'o'. |
Horlawoomey:I agree with you. Its only those with arch knowledge or interest in arch that can see the dullness of the facade. I mean some with his kind of money should have a better house. Someone must have recommended some half baked architect to him. |
iflywithbuhari:Sherif has cult following in the North? Please tell me you are joking. Did you say he will win katsina? Hmmmm, you must be dreaming. He neither has cult following even in Borno nor any other Northern state. |
Paretomaster:Lafiya kalau. Ya al'amurra? |
The manner in which the PDP government handled the boko haram issue with kids glove made Northerners to think that even if Jonathan is not a sponsor of BH, he is willing to allow them flourish in the North. People were just tired of PDP. Same foolish PDP that all their campaigns were full of religious bigotry will come out and spew this trash. Even if people in the North voted along religious lines, it is not as bad as that of the SS and SE. He is stupidly tarnishing the image of his people just to score cheap political points. NORTHERNERS CAME OUT EN MASSE AND VOTED FOR BUHARI BECAUSE OF THE INABILITY OF PDP TO STOP THE SPREAD OF BOKO HARAM ATROCITIES. THE SAYING THEN WAS WHO KNOWS IT MIGHT BE OUR TURN NEXT TIME. AND BY THE WAY, GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATES ARE MUSLIMS BUT WE PREFER TO VOTE APC. CAN HE EXPLAIN THAT? |
herbie27:Lol that means northern barbers have used it on ur head. |
ireneony:No. You should understand that people decide for themselves. There is no law for the rich or poor. Even in christianity the poor tend to be more religious than the rich. |
Interesting thread. Love it. |
Well said. I need not reply the dimwit. |
They always include alcohol in their marriage lists. I just dont know why. |
Those schools were built during Yaraduas administration as the governor of Katsina State. Yet he didnt paint them in PDP colours. I will call painting such schools a misplaced priority considering the fact that all the schools are mostly in good shape. We all know the problems bedevelling the education sector in Katsina and the nation at large; it is the issue of lack of qualified teachers, teaching aids and poor funding of the sector. All these cosmetic changes he is making will not improve education in the State. |
PrinzeTokz:The whole kaakaki trumpet is Hausa culture. So you better advise them to get their own way of doing it completely not only the mode of dressing. |
