ideyhere:Both males and females are prone to sinful living. But you and I know that girls dont check out men and go aftr them. It is the other way round. Decently dressed ladies are treated with more respect more than indecently dressed ladies. We all know for a fact that in the world we live today, men cover up with shirts and long trousers while ladies go about half naked all in the name of modernity and fashion. Ladies have been turned into objects of sexual satisfaction by men who oggle and asses the level of booty they have. It even happens in places of worship where people are supposedly in the presence of God. So, dear good lady ladies covering up may not be 100% upright but atleast they dont expose their bodies for public analysis. They get respected where ever they go. These are some of the perks of covering up missus. Just note that one mans culture maybe taboo to another man. You may wonder why should a Muslim lady cover up her body when she goes out. I will wonder why you would go about in mini skirts, cleavage revealing tops and and all that attached horse hair on your head. |
refiner:They exist, but they are quiet few in number. The can be found in southern parts of katsina and kano states. |

refiner:My dear, you can marry a Muslim and still remain a christian. You can even marry a hausa Christian. I think that will make things easier. |
Barney11:That is not an islamic wedding event. That is a dinner party just like the ones you do during your weddings. Islam has no separate rules for the poor and rich. We simply choose wether to obey or not obey the commandments of the religion. When next you see a wedding with ladies dressed like that just have it at the back of your mind that they, out of choice, decided to dress like that. |
freshvine:: am amused. You are making assumptions based on what you actually do not know. Some ladies choose to marry men who have wives not because they cannot get younger men, but may be because the older man is rich. Besides its better to marry an older man than to be chasing the same older man out of wedlock. Dont you think so? |
freshvine:Yeah sure. Islam has prevented them from immorality and sinful living. On the other hand, christianity has failed to prevent its adherents from such things. Or rather, you people have thrown away the teachings of your religion for the pleasures of this world. So pray tell me, what is so refined about the southern guys? Is it their ability to use a lady and dump her once they realise that the thing has gone slack and go look for a fresh one? |
NobleAngell:Angos dont go for introduction. Introductions are ladies affairs not males. |
shiningamy:Thats a dinner party not wedding ceremony dear. Weddings are done during the day time. |
I am Hausa. I would like to be a Fulani man in another life because of cultural assimilations and similarities. |
rugbyprop:100% correct. |
karlriz:It is sometimes difficult for a person from Kano without contact with the Sokoto Hausa to understand certain words of the Sokoto Hausa. However, a Sokoto person does not have much problem understanding Kano Hausa because it is the most widely spoken dialect. They can converse but with clarifications mostly from the Sokoto man. |
emmasege:Never mind. We muslims dont have problem with that. But as you rightly said, christians would have been all over the thread spewing trash had been it is Buhari giving a sermon. |
OrlandoOwoh:What I find annoying about your post is the fact that you either knowingly or mistakenly used the word some in the case of Yorubas and Igbos but omitted same in the case of Hausas. |
CR77:You southerners have problem with the usage of has and have. Dullard of southern Nigeria. |
The question should have been what is the special wedding night excitement when you have had sex before. I used to wonder about what so special about marriage between people who literally lived like a husband and wife. They can as well continue life like that. |
[quote author=Firefire post=38079859]Can this be You people can lie o. You just got Buhari's picture in a mosque and you tagged it Buhari and the Senegalese marabouts. I do not know what you are gaining from peddling rumours and lies around. |
Congrats to my two course mates who did POP today. wish them an illustrious military career. |
ahnie:kin yi kokari gaskia. Amma ba ki iya rubuta hausa sosai ba. u need to improve. |
ERODEDEAST:I was using your illogical statement to reply you. Tell me any university that reflects federal character more than ABU in Nigeria. Am sure Northerners will be denied admissions outrightly in your area. You people are just a bunch of liars saying things that are more synonymous to your regions. smh for ur dullness. |
DJBIGGY:Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences - Department of African StudiesHumboldt-Universität zu Berlin|Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences|Department ofAsian and African Studies|Department of African Studies|Linguistics and Languages|Languages|HausaThe Hausa LanguageHausa is classified as a memberof the Chadic branch of the Afro-Asiatic family of languages. It is the best known and most important member of the Chadic branch. It is the most widely used in the fields of education and it lays claim to a significant literatures. By way ofnumber, it is spoken by an estimated 40 to 50 million people as a first and second language thus, it believed to be one of the most commonly spoken African languages.Where is Hausa Spoken? Most Hausa speakers live in Northern Nigeria and Southern Republic of Niger. In Nigeria, Hausa-speaking area encompasses the historical emirates of Kano, Katsina, Daura, Zaria and Gobir, all of which were incorporated into the Sokoto caliphate following the Fulani Jihad led by Usman Shehu Ɗanfodio in the early 19thcentury. Hausa is also spokenin diaspora by traders, scholars and immigrants in urban areas of West Africa, for example, southern and central Nigeria, Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ghana, Togo as well as Chad and the Blue Nile Province and western region of the Sudan.Hausa and its DialectsHausa has a number of geographical dialects, marked by differences in pronunciation and vocabulary. In some instances, one can notice the variation between eastern dialects on the one hand, e.g. Kano, and areas to the south (Zaria), southeast (Bauchi), with (Daura) and western dialects onthe other, e.g Sokoto, Gobir, and northwards into Niger. Within eastern dialect, StandardHausa is coined. It is based on “Kananci” the dialect of Kano, anenormous Hausa commercial centre located in Northern Nigeria. Standard Hausa has been recognised as the norm for the written language as contained in books and newspapers and also for broadcast in radio and television. This variety is used as Subject and Course as well aslanguage of instruction in schools, colleges, universities including Humboldt University Berlin, Germany. It is pertinent to mention that Hausa languagedialects are mutually intelligible |
Akoja360:Why must you lie just to score a cheap point. ABU still has a large number of Christians both staff and students. Name a university in the South East or South South that has a big mosque the size of the two churches in ABU main campus. Just tell me a university in your area that will offer muslims admission and jobs. |
ERODEDEAST:Exactly. Just like its Southern counterparts who are Christian Universities a long time ago. |
9jacrip:oh that? Ife throne can never and will never be as prominent and as important as the kano throne. you just have to live with that. sorry. |
9jacrip:hate for whom, u or the lobbying prince? |
[quote author=9jacrip post=37344743] nope. hausa |
Shymm3x:Reasons: 1) he is still a prince 2) his throne is not even at par with the kano throne in no way. his kingdom is only a mere local government in osun while sanusi's is one of the most inflential and populous. |
All you out thr hating, who knows wat crazy things people in your village do also. |
![]() this is where it happened. that camel must have been brot in from Niger republic. one must wonder how they passed all those military, sss, imigration and customs checkpoints.
|
Equalizer:Fools like you with half baked education always ignorantly think that anybody from the North is Hausa or Fulani. For your information, Borno and Yobe are not Hausaland. They are mostly Kanuri and other minority tribes. Hausa people in those areas are just settlers. Please go back to primary school and redo your social studies lessons. Seems as if you skipped all the classes. Same goes to all your type out there who do not know a thing about other people outside their villages. |
INTERMAN:if you look closely you will see that there are Xtians also there bigoted fool. |
seing this reminds me of a guy who I met in our hostel common room happily telling people that Ngozi is helping him look for a job. It sounded weird, but hey its non of my bizness. |
do Hausa's has Christian among demselves! I refuse to believe u...
