Each time I look at every record released by any national agency, I notice a huge discrepancy between the core north and the south. Southern states top the literacy chart, number of successful WAEC candidate, number of jamb candidate, number of yearly graduates, etc. An outsider would believe the north are marginalized by other regions. This is not true. Our educational standard has been reduced to encourage the northerners to consider going to school. A pupil from that region needs to score fifty marks to get admitted into unity school whereas his counterpart in the south needs to struggle for a hundred and fifty marks. They are simply marked as educational disadvantaged state. I wonder how long they would continue to get pampered. Goodluck Jonathan initiated a free education system yet the same people massively voted him out. If he had done the same to the south, he would have been immortalized.

I do not believe that God created them with a deformed brain incapable of assimilating the Western concept. The likes of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and Nasir El Rufai is a proof that great brains can come out from the region. It seems there is a conspiracy not to educate the masses. The way the almajiri free education system died quickly is an evidence that the elites do not want her people educated.


Education is dangerous to the political structure. An educated person can see beyond the deception of the elite.

Western education is dangerous to the religious practice. Western education encourage curiosity and doubt. The elite prefers to control the thought of its citizen. They want them to read only books they approve of. Books that makes it easier for the citizen to comply to their directive. It is a sin to read non approved books. In my years of experience as a teacher, I've observed that the slow leaners are the ones who are always glued to the TV. During class sessions, they won't respond but during break period you need to see them downloading all they saw in the cartoon movie with demonstrations too and you'll be like so this child can be this active and expressive... Only in the wrong things and not in their studies. Im talking about up to basic 5 level.

Yesterday, some of my basic 5 students were like, "miss J, this question is too difficult" during exams. And I was like, move to the next question then. And these are very cheap questions I set out of pity. If they studied instead of watching cartoons, they probably will not have difficulty answering those questions.

What I'm trying to bring out here is.. children naturally dont want to do the right thing any longer and if you allow them, you'll be the one to bear the brunt in the end.

It's just sad that Nigerian Government were not doing much to Educate people about the Virus.... And people were not even helping themselves.. Since the Covid19 thing becomes a new normal, I can't remember the last time I hug someone.. It has become normal for me to do a sign of hugging which was so sad but we need to survive right?

The Nigerian Government should also think about sustainable measure to make sure that the young people especially Nigerians who were called to serve the compulsory one year won't get infected at the Orientation camp?... there should be strict measures in place to check that places of worship is adhering to all the rules of social distancing..

We all know that Businesses is the bedrock of Every nation.. But People need to be alive first before we can talk about Money... Cinema, beaches and other super spreader events like parties should be prohibited until the vaccine is been administered to citizens..

but where are all the traditional medical practitioners that uses herbs and leaves.isnt it the time they should come out and show their herbal prowess? At least they have association,they should be researching/ working with leaves/herbs to bring a cure for Covid instead we're always waiting on oyinbo for everything as if they are Alpha and Omega and you wonder why they feel they are superior to Africans.

Well, government has a big share of the blame but the citizens should also take responsibility.
With the way things are now,it's going to be a survival of the fittest.Some will die and some will live.People who have a good immune system and other variables will live if they catch the virus and the ones that can't make it will depart the Earth till the world overcomes it.
