Culture / Re: Where Did Nigerians Get That Superiority Complex From? by samdigo(m): 5:05pm On Mar 15, 2015
Colonialism.. Direct vs indirect rule. I would argue that those countries under the British(indirect rule) retained most of their pride/culture and identity. Those under the french(direct rule) tend to be less dominant in terms of personality

yea you deffinately need to allow people to have the opportunity to delete their profile, its totally unfair how nairaland holds people to ransom. also there needs to b a sort of notification page that highlights replys to previous comments or stuff of that nature, and some of these threads are oldddd, there needs to b a way of deleting old threads, nairaland in my view is so backwards technologically. it does hav a unique style to it tho,

honestly as long as people like bankole, our senators and our governors can continue to embezzle funds, and retire to dubai and london and co, without anything happening to them, then maybe those ppl died in vain.
Politics / Re: We Wont Revert To N65 - Fg Insists by samdigo(m): 8:59pm On Jan 11, 2012
no country in this world doubles the price of fuel overnight, it is uncalled for, jonathan dosent seem like the kind of guy that deserves death, but if da FG does not budge, then only God knos wat would happen to jonathan and ngozi, i mean what kind of reasoning was there behind the fuel subsidy removal, u would expect more from a woman that works at the world bank, worst part is when things get out of hand, ngozi will run back 2 wash dc,

Religion / Tb Joshua New Year Prophesy by samdigo(m): 5:22am On Jan 09, 2012
yo i know this guy is controversial, and at times he can be a Little vague in his prophecies, but there are some that just shock the crap out of me, one in particular was when he predicted nigeria qualifying for the 2010 WC, he talked about a 1goal win, and also described the kind of goal as a header, as seen in this video "
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOkiZqcJ6uE"
personally, im not a huge believer in the genuinity of his prophetic powers, but one thing i do know is that he is quite accurate,
with that said i would like to point you to his 2012 prophecies, good news for nigeria in the area of boko haram, but terrible news for the country and the world, what do you guys think.

Politics / Re: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Al-Jazeera Interview On Fuel Subsidy Removal by samdigo(m): 5:06am On Jan 09, 2012
she is a smart woman, i know about her and her family here in the wash dc area, i dont think she is out to steal money or anything of that sort, i think she has good intentions and only time will tell if she infact the fuel subsidy was a good thing, i do however feel that cost should have been cut in other aspects of the economy, to fund this her road, train, and job program she is talking about, then when all these things had been established, the fuel subsidy should have been cut, would have made an easier transition,
Sports / Re: Mikel Obi Starts For Chelsea But Turned Down Super Eagles Call by samdigo(m): 3:53am On Nov 22, 2011
All I'm saying is dat nff need to get a permanent coach and get a long term, expensive coach, who has a passion for the super eagles, get a plan for the team, then make it known b4 u start inviting ppl to come play,
Sports / Re: Mikel Obi Starts For Chelsea But Turned Down Super Eagles Call by samdigo(m): 7:14pm On Nov 21, 2011
I'm not a big fan of mikel, but honestly I would have done the same thing. Th super eagles have deteriorated to the point where it is a wast of time for a player like mikel to waste his time playing teams like botswana and co. No nations cup, and u r callin him 2 play Botswana. Dats an insult to mikel. The fact dat they changed coach again to an incompetent old head named kelshi or wateva, shoes da nff has no future plan, or goals for the future. Abet leave mikel alone and fix the freaking team
