Notice how this policeman is contaminating the evidences. He do not wear rubber surgical gloves to touch the bullet case and put his own fingerprints on it. This is not a professional policeman.

Sharap there, too much jack bauer and csi miami don dey affect you. In nigeria, there is no such thing as evidence, just shot halleluya, you were not his by stray bullet. By the way all the evidence are heading for police waste bin.

Career / Re: University Degree Or Handiwork: Which Is Better In Nigeria? by samfibby(m): 4:29pm On Nov 12, 2012
If you want to join government in plundering nigeria's wealth, better be a grduate or do you know of any plumber that profits from our corrupt govt. No!!!, all of them are graduates from genuine universities or "toronto university". By former counsellor was appointed immediately after school. In his 8-year tenure he made sure he plundered the ward allocation, built three duplexes, made sure his children had either uk or the us citizenship. And what did the community get in return? Regular cartons of beer, local gin (paraga)for all the boyz, dilapidated road etc. To add insult to injury, the guy was begging for third teem. In this country, if we want to enrich yourself with govt money, better get a degree.

Police is on top of the situation. I shake my head. With the sorry state of our economy and UN-repentant attitude of our pilfering politicians and president, the act of meting out jungle justice is not coming to an end, in fact it is just the beginning. The only way the hungry-hardworking, poor Nigerian can vent his anger is to lynch a fellow Nigerian who has no means of survival. On a daily basis i get complains from youths and able-bodied young men complaining how hard it is to feed on a daily basis. Nigerians are gradually becoming animals. I pray another civil war does not happen in this country, i doubt if the UN will be able to quench the fire.

Politics / Re: Okada Riders Leave Festac Town Enmass To North? by samfibby(m): 11:09am On Nov 12, 2012
This is the problem with every govt in nigeria. You ban a means of transportation without making provision for the people. Okada came to existence in the first place becos our govt refuse to fix the conditions of our roads and provide or expand into other means of transportation. The proper steps that should have been taking is to create viable alternatives that would suit the masses then gradually implement policies that would discourage those importing the bikes. The case of generator is a good exaample, in the absence of power, nigerians turned to generator usage. With constant power supply no one will patronize generators and importers would have to stop importation of diesel and generators. In the case of okada, you ban them and leave lagosians with no alternative. Even the BRT the LASG brought in is not efficiently run. Our govts are clueless.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Fifteen US States File Petition To Secede From The United States by samfibby(m): 9:18am On Nov 12, 2012
If you are against the unity of America and you believe this story, then better wake up. There is more that binds that country than we actually understand. Americans would make a joke out of nothing. Is this not the same country that had porn stars and hollywood stars competing for public office. Americans know if they divide, they will be mockery of their cuban, canadian and mexican neighbors. If that country divides, believe you me whatever emerges from its segregation cant stand on its own. If you think your dream of seeing a divided america is here, then you are on a long thing. You would have to wait another two hundred years.

Business / Re: What's The Greatest Challenge You've Encountered As A Rising Entrepreneur? by samfibby(m): 8:28am On Nov 11, 2012
DailyNews: Another challenge most Nigerian young entrepreneurs face is impatience and craze for white collar jobs!

3yrs after my first business failure, I had to try again, this time it was recharge card printing, and anytime I remember it, I feel like crying becos I was amongst the few Nigerians that started it even though I was only a young student, but I was so worried to own my own business and employ people.

I went for the seminar/training during my I.T, meanwhile I was processing to do my I.T with PPMC Eleme PH then, so I coughed out the big money then to buy that small recharge card printing machine and then invested another 30k to load it with recharge card pins of- mtn. Glo, vmobile.

But the moment some of my friends n coursemates I rapport with started calling to tell me where they were doing their I.Ts and how much they were being paid, I lost passion n patience in my recharge printing biz though it wasn't easy marketing it to people, convincing people to buy car printed on ordinary paper n not on d usual mtn, glo, etc papers, some accused me of hacking into mtn system others said it won't enter if they load it n refused to even try so I got pissed n went for I.T and dumped the machine n card with a relation who was also a student n he ran down the biz and that was its end.

Anytime I see cards printed on paper n hear how much people make from it, I get angry cos I would have been a pioneer in it as I speak if I had waited and exercised patience n not just think of going for an I.T to get paid like others.

People should plz learn from my ugly experience then.

Wow, your experience is sure what thinking about

Madawaki01: Www.beegeagle.

I actually read the article. All i can say is its high time we withdraw our men from any war front in africa or elsewhere. I believe the article was aimed at rubbishing the long established image of the nigerian army. Lets come to think of it, the article was written by a Ghanaian report for the uk guardian. We know the antecedents of these backstabbers, they are at it again, they will go to any length to rubbish anything Nigerian. He specifically pointed out that our army lacked discipline and were corrupt, can any of the worlds army claim not to have a degree of these flaws. Nigerias ragtag army will do far better than any well equipped army in the region. I think its time the Ghanaian take over and stop whimpering like babies.

ACM10: They are not far from the truth. The
following are evidence in support of their
claim that Nigerian forces are incapable
of mounting offence operation or doing
basic military manoeuvres;

1. They were unable to subdue Nigerdelta
militants. They resorted to the massacre of
civilian populations to instill fear in the
populace. It was the politicians who were
able to calm the situation with amnesty
programme.

2. Boko haram menance is still ongoing in
the northern region. Soldiers who were
sent to the region are unable to exert
control over the situation. All evidence
suggests that the crisis is spreading to
other parts of the northern region.

So the British tabloid observation is in
sync with the events on the ground. We don't have to play ostrich.

Somebody speaking sense and making a point

less than 10% of nigerians patronize air transport, the govt is willing to invest 300 billion naira, whereas the rail transport which has the potential to transport more than 40% will do well with 100 billion naira if well channeled. The govt just doesnt get its priority straight. These kind of decisions are responsible for keeping a large percentage of nigerians in perpetual poverty. The bail-outs given to the banking sector have not brought about significant change, now the the aviation sector wants its own share of the cake. Clueless and corrupt leaders. The question is how much of that money will go as kick backs to the governors and executives.

Tony Spike:
This is certainly a telecomms expert. HSPA+ is just a MIMO platform, which applies spatial diversity to achieve a maximum throughput. I see LTE as a better scheme since it'll be utilizing maximum code rates features of spatial diversity on
MIMO OFDMA platform with channel efficiency. Like I said, we have interesting days ahead for telecoms technologies.

Sure interesting days we have ahead, the way the mobile technology market is shaping, we might be looking at a global world finally adapting a single standard. LTE's all IP based architecture simply gives it a edge over its rival (WIMAX), finally calls would be made a platform that nearly eliminates transfer latency (we might be saying adios to the days of "poor network na ni" or "network is bad". Initially, i thought wimax was it until intel pulled the plug and compound its woes most carriers all over the world are deploying LTE with the speed of light. If federal government stamps its feet on LTE deployment, making sure whoever gets the license for LTE frequency bands invests heavily. I give it to glo, since mtn seems to have invested a lot in its wimax facility. All the same nigeria certainly is heading for the "lofty el dorado of mobile communication" tongue cool embarassed

Bro, I wasn't talking about GSM provider in Nigeria o.

I understand u clearly, all i am saying is..just like rman said LTE technology hasnt found its way into nigeria yet. This technology is quite common in advanced asian countries, especially south korea, that explains why samsung is at the fore front of deploying this technology on its devices. Getting a samsung note 2 lte phone doesnt guaranty u lte browsing speed, maybe 3G. Non of the carriers (GSM or CDMA) in nigeria is deploying LTE yet.

Goshen360: Make I rush go get my own 4G Lte on Samsung Note II with the fastest Network right now!.... grin grin grin

I am not sure any of the GSM providers in nigeria offer 4G service on LTE technology. Many some of the WISP's may offer LTE, but they might not support mobile devices.
