Not to think that all budget from 2000-2015 were declared stolen, misappropriated, or mismanaged. Yet during that period companies were not packing out of Nigeria but trooping, Jobs are everywhere, people were having three-square meal per day, there was prosperity in the land. But now that the budget is six Trillion; poverty is everywhere in the Land, companies are fleeing the country; no noticeable infrastructure built anywhere, what is happening to Nigeria? |
Please clear my ignorance. I have been trying to understand Nigerian budget and how it affects common Nigerians. I discovered that, when Nigerian Budget was not big in figures; Nigerians were well-up as compare to when the budget reach an all high of 6 Trillion. Fellow Nairalanders what could be responsible to this? Did you ask for all these when the ex minister of petroleum was accused?? No need because she is in thesame category or even higher with this man below: Kachikwu: Serving Nigeria costs me $1m yearly Share to Facebook1.2KShare to TwitterShare to Google+Share to LinkedIn4Share to WhatsApp Advertisement Ibe Kachikwu, minister of state for petroleum resources, has revealed that his acceptance to serve the country cost him “at least a million dollars every year”. Speaking in Abuja on Sunday, Kachikwu said although his former job was more rewarding financially, he decided to serve Nigeria for the love of his fatherland. He said all hands must be on deck to build enduring institutions that would secure the future of the country and improve on the standard of living of Nigerians. “The call to public service for me was unique. I was vice-president of Exxon Mobil West Africa and I was suddenly called to serve,” he said. “In serving, I lose a lot of money, if not at least a million dollars every year by virtue of being a minister, but the thing is, I am directed by the voice of God. “I believe that this country needs help. I believe that it is about time we began to perform for the young and upcoming. I believe that the sheer capacity of this country is unimaginable. “I do not know of any country in the world with our population, our resources, our intellect, our flamboyance, our family nexus, everything is together.” Kachikwu said with the right leadership, the current economic crunch in Nigeria could be surmounted. He said Nigerians would not feel the impact of the challenges posed by drop in the price of oil if government properly harnessed other natural resources. “Everything in this country is together; the only thing that is not together is leadership and in God’s name; we are bound to change that,” he said. “In every little space that you have, and in my own case petroleum, you have to make an absolute change and so I am not worried about price of oil. “It can be five dollar for all I care. I am worried about the direction of the industry; I am worried about changing things the way they have never done before. “I am worried about creating opportunities that exist; I am worried about improving the standards of living; I am worried about encouraging opportunities in the sector. I am worried about opening up those opportunities that have existed for years.” Kachikwu, who is also the group managing director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), called on Nigerians to embrace the new philosophy of the present administration geared towards charting a new course for the country. He asked the people to bury their differences and contribute their quota to the development of the country. https://www.thecable.ng/kachikwu-serving-nigeria-costs-me-1m-per-year |

More than 80 men and women from Iran and Afghanistan converted to Christianity Thursday during a mass baptism in Hamburg, Germany. Albert Babajan, the pastor who carried out the ceremony, has converted 196 Muslims in 2016. He expects the number to grow to 500 by the end of the year, and says the most common reason is disappointment in Islam. “The motive for the change of faith is the same for many: they are disappointed with Islam,” Babajan told German magazine Stern. One refugees said Christianity has liberated him from living in a constant fear of sinning. Iranian girl Shima said she’s been looking for happiness her entire life, and finally found it under the Christian faith. Please use your good office to intervene concerning the activities of your men at Port Harcourt II Driver’s License capturing centre. They are giving your organization bad image and bad name. Your organization which is known for discipline, decorum, good human relation and respect, and corruption free is being turn into zoo where predators eat their prey with impunity Supervision is completely non-existence in that centre. Please redeploy all your staff in that centre urgently out of Rivers State because they have tested the sweet honey of making side money corruptly they will not stop except taking to where such opportunity is not available. A situation whereby agents (tout) control who is capture or not is not acceptable Warm Regards Concern Citizen |
AS LONG AS HE IS APC, THE ELECTION CANNOT NULLIFIED |
Secretly conduct DNA test on her to find out if she is really your sister because both of you are falling for each other |
An APC appendage said to me ‘ It is not the matter of VOTES but Federal MIGHT’ and with federal might APC will take Rivers State by fire and by force |
I live in Port Harcourt. In Elekahia precisely and I know from public opinion that PDP is the party. APC is only with Amechi and some few sympathizers. During the last general election in my ward inside ODUMS, Apc were wooing voters with money openly and people are not voting for them and so they resort to violence |
