From Spring next year (March 20, 2024 - May 31, 2024), UK WILL NO LONGER ISSUE DEPENDANT VISA FOR HEALTH CARE WORKERS ( Nurses, Doctors etc).

So, Healthcare Workers would No Longer be able to bring their Spouses and Children on Dependant Visa

In Short

If you plan RELOCATING TO UK AS A HEALTHCARE WORKER (Nurse, Doctor etc) and you intend taking your Family along OR bringing your family to join you

ENSURE YOU DO THAT BEFORE MARCH 2024

This forum have been quite for some days.. so I applied for my visa on the 20th December (no priority), I received a mail this morning from TLS that a decision have been made. 2hrs later, another mail that my travel document is ready for collection (I optioned for a DHL delivery anyways). My confusion now is that, no mail saying if my visa was granted or not. No BRP mail either. If tension no kill me, na small go remain

Not to worry. The email you are expecting won't change anything. I got my BRP email the day after the "travel document is ready" email. So I knew it was successful before I received my passport.

A decision has been made already. Just hope for the best. Good luck!

Hi all, I am helping a relative fill their dependent visa for skilled work, his wife came to Nigeria to get married to him after living in the UK for over a year.
A question on the form say "have you lived apart since the past 2 years" I answered Yes. This is because she was in the UK and he was in Nigeria. Now they want him to show proof that they were in a relationship while apart in addition to their marriage certificate. Could I have answered yes in that section?
Please people who recently fill this form what did you answer and what did you submit as proof?

Take screenshot of the chats, screenshot of videos calls, pictures taken together before she traveled, receipts of financial transactions, DMs etc. All should have the dates.

That's all you need. Something to proof that they were in a relationship while apart

I selected not cohabiting and they went on to ask how we have been managing the relationship for the past 2 years. I have my school records and all my offer letters. Also how soon did you apply after your wedding?

Proof of relationship is where you will upload all the pictures, chats, screenshots of calls etc, including wedding certificates. For the two years my wife and I dated before we got married, we only saw each other for a few days. Just upload all the documents needed and you'll be fine.

Applied a day after registry/court wedding (on Sunday, wedding was Saturday), biometrics on Thursday of that week, visa came out Thursday of the next week (3 working days).

We plan to have our wedding in February so he can come and join as I have achieved some form of stability here. We hope to do the wedding in a week and have him apply ASAP. Similar case to mine. However, we informed them that we have NOT been living together for the past two years. And we were told to prove it. Used our offer letters (hers based in the UK, mine based outside the UK)

I assume you selected the option that you have been cohabiting. You will have to prove it.

Any option you choose (living together or not living together), you will have to prove it.

Don't know about this. I booked a flight ticket on the Turkish Airlines website and didn't see this notice. I don't know why Wakanow has it. However, I am flying from Cotonou. I know someone who traveled last year from Abuja to London and didn't need any transit visa.

I suggest you contact Turkish Airlines.

Also, read somewhere that if you are not leaving the airport, you don't need a transit visa.

For those planning to travel to the UK in December, any suggested tips to help in managing the expensive flight costs?

- What certificates do I have to have before I apply for jobs in that sector?
- If I need certificates, how can I get those certificates from Nigeria here?
- I hear about NVQ? What does it mean? How can I get the certificates from Nigeria here?
- I actually have over 5 years of experience working as a health care assistant in a Nigerian hospital. Does that count? Is it enough?
