INEC Releases Seven-Step Voting Procedure For 2019 General Elections.

The following are the 7 steps, stated by INEC:

Step 1 :

Upon arrival at the Polling unit, joins the queue and present yourself to the INEC official ( APO111 ) at the polling unit who will determine whether you are at the correct polling unit and check if the photograph on the Permanent Voter Card ( PVC ) matches your face . If satisfied, he/ she will direct you to the next INEC official ( APO1 ).

Step 2 :

The official ( APO1 ) will request for your PVC to confirm that your card is genuine and your details , using the smart card reader. He/ she will ask you to place your finger on the card reader to confirm that the PVC belongs to you by ascertaining, the card reader will contains the name , photograph and finger prints of all those registered in their polling unit.

Step 3 :

You will then meet the next official ( APO11 ) who will request for your PVC to confirm that your name and details are in the voters register .

Your name will be ticked and your PVC returned to you . He/ she will then apply indelible ink to the cuticle of your appropriate finger for that election to show you have been accredited to vote. ( If your name is not found on the register , you will not be allowed to vote).

Step 4 :

The presiding officer ( PO ) stamps , signs and endorses the date at the back of the Ballot Paper . The PO will roll the ballot paper inwardly with the printed side inwards and give to you . He / she will then direct you to the voting cubicle where you vote in secret.

Step 5 :

You will stain your appropriate finger for the election with the ink provided then use your stained finger to mark the space or box provided on the ballot paper for your preferred candidate / party . Roll the marked ballot paper ( in the manner the PO gave to you ).

Step 6 :

Then leave the voting cubicle and drop the ballot paper in the ballot box in full view of people at the polling unit.

Step 7 :

You will then leave the polling unit or wait if you so choose in an orderly and peaceful manner to work the process up to declaration of result.

N.B . The result of each polling unit shall be pasted at the unit and for everyone to see.

PRESIDENT BUHARI WRITES NASS ON 2018 ELECTORAL (Amendment) BILL

President Muhammadu Buhari has communicated to the Senate and House of Representatives his decision on the Electoral (Amendment) Bill, 2018 in accordance to the powers vested in him by the 1999 Constitution.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Sen. Ita Enang, made this known when he briefed State House correspondents in Abuja on Friday.

Enang, who refused to disclose the content of the president’s communication to the National Assembly, neither confirmed assent nor rejection of the bill by the president.

He said: “The president has taken a decision in a accordance with the powers vested in him according to the constitution.

“And by convention that decision contained in the communication can only be revealed by the person to whom that decision is addressed.

“But the electoral bill has left Mr. President because he has taken a decision and has remitted it back.”

When further asked why the president returned the bill back to NASS, the presidential aide said: “The president has communicated his decision to the National Assembly and that is what it is now.’’

According to him, it is the National Assembly that can reveal the content of the communication.

However, if rejected, this will be fourth time the bill is being returned to the National Assembly by the President.

While in same in same vein, Enang revealed that the president has assented to the National Open University (Amendment) Act, 2018.

He said: “Again, President Buhari has also assented to National Open University Amendment Act, which allows the National Open University to operate as all other universities, having the same power and functions and the same administrative structures eliminating possible discrimination as some use to want to have on its products and programmes.

“It has also allowed the establishment of some centers to be called study centers and given conditions for the establishment of such study centers.’’

TMA BRIEFING& EXAM BRIEFING

↔Without the submission of TMA1, 2 and 3 you cannot pass your exam.

↔f non of your TMA is not available yet, HOLD ON and patiently wait if they will release TMA1 during TMA 2 period.

↔Do not partake in any exam that the TMA is not available because if you do you will fail.

↔If you did not register a course or all your courses for exam their TMA will not be available.

↔TMAs are not available for some courses because they are not examinable (YOU ARE TO WRITE A REPORT OR BUSINESS PLAN & DO PRESENTATION).

↔Your TMA score is also a key to a good grade. ( IF YOU HAVE GOOD SCORES IN ALL YOUR TMAs YOUR EXAM IS 40% CORVERED).

↔If all the options in your TMA question are equal or you were marked wrong after choosing and submitting the right answer or option, kindly note the Question number and take it to your center to make a complaint.

↔If all your TMA options are correct, kindly screenshot or snap the question then you send it to your study center ICT department mail or you visit your center ICT department for proper rectification.

↔Revise your TMA because 40% of your questions may come from it.

↔Read extensively and intensively.

↔Do not flaunt your TMA printout because your matric number is vividly written on it.

EXAM BRIEFING

↗Your matric number is your username and password but let your password letters be in lower case(small letter)

↗Endeavor to be in the school premises 30mins before the exam to ease tension, stress and rush.

↗Do not leave your exam slip and ID card at home because that's your permit to the exam hall.

↗Kindly check where you sit if there is any implicating object and if found report to the examiner immediately.

↗Make sure you fill in the blank space correctly while filling your subjective. (FILL THE ANSWER EXACTLY THE WAY IT'S WRITTEN IN NOUN STUDY MATERIAL).

↗ P.O.P is for 300level above while E-EXAM is for 200level downward.

↗P.O.P- theory only
E-EXAM- objectives and subjectives(FILL IN THE GAPS)

↗Some of your courses are P.O.P in 100level and 200level especially LAW students. (DO CHECK THE FINAL P.O.P TIMETABLE SO THAT YOU WON'T BE LEFT OUT)

↗Do not bring your valuable things to the center except you have a car or safe place to keep them because during the exam period some people would come from their home to make other people cry.

↗Be conscious of time because exam is not like TMA. (YOU HAVE LIMITED TIME IN THE EXAM HALL)

↗Quickly report to the ICT agents or examiners in the hall if you are facing any difficulties or your system is malfunctioning.

↗Don't be too nervous and relaxed in the exam hall.

↗Make sure you submit and log out your system properly before leaving the exam hall.

↗Learn how to make use of notepad to jot down some necessary things during the exam.

↗Plain sheet of paper will be given to those offering calculation courses in the hall for solving or calculating.

↗Indecent dressing attracts full focus on you. Dress decently to the hall.

↗Quickly report any disturber or disrupter before both of you are caught.

↗P.O.P students write your matric number well spelt on your answer booklet for proper recording to avoid missing script.

↗Kindly improve in your handwriting and make it clear because the markers are human being like us you don't expect them to use microscope before they could see your handwriting.

GO AND SUCCEED
