TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Samo16: 10:58pm On Apr 05, 2017
Please be sure not to give categorical statements. I know someone who is about graduating from MSVU she payed full tuition before her visa was granted. She also adviced I made payments (Dat doesn't necessarily give u TRV increases the chances as the case may be (and she actually posted her profile on nairaland here [qquote author=Omodollyp post=55289741]

Msvu doesn't allow tuition payment until Trv is issued. Just show proof of funds
Good day all,

Please who is going for Mount Saint Vincent University come September 2017? I just received admission.

Secondly is it advisable to pay one year's school fees down? (Reason being to show the embassy that payment is not a problem even if the statement of account is not sooooooooo bouyant?)

Thank you.

Thanks Bigtime. My mum would also be supporting the application with 4 million.I would ensure she does that in her own case.

Austinpee4:
In as much as TAX clearance is good to show the company's record of living up to it's responsibility of paying government levy, It is NOT as important as the fact that the company also lived up to it's responsibility of committing funds to your study. In other words, If the company pays for your tuition before you apply, TAX clearence would probably be a VO least worry. E no concern them, na u and ur government get that gbege!

So using a company SOA will involve COMMITMENT rather than plenty stories of writting or adding papers.

Na dey money their economy go get from the company through funding of your education be the koko sir.

Thank you. My mum would also supporting the application with 4m. While my uncle (maternal uncle with attached marriage certificate would be swearing affidavit of 4m also to cover living expense and miscellaneous ). He won't be willing to use his personal account. For the CAC 2 the two children are also shareholders they are quite young 5 and 7. Won't that be a red flag because am submitting on CAC 7. The wife and the husband are the first directors.
He is a real estate person I also added his website and contact details. I am the only one who works with him. Am 23 been living with him since 2009 when he got married.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Samo16: 5:48pm On Mar 09, 2017
Guys please must you necessarily make use of the SOA you are using to submit your application to make your school fess payment. Can't my mum open another bank account probly Standard Chattered just because of fx availability and they offering a better rate compared to her bank. All dis dorm account story ain't making sense.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Samo16: 5:21pm On Feb 24, 2017
I know about this. When he said he experienced it.I believed he had completed his own transaction. Because for me am really keen about the rate. It might go up for us prospective canadians. They might use the same 375 USD convertion instead of the 239 original CBN rate....

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Samo16: 11:41am On Feb 19, 2017
Thats like (7,000CND)5345.35 USD ...5345×375=2,004,506.25

I don't know a lot of maths but what's 7000 cad to usd and what's it in naira

Thanks in advance
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Samo16: 8:22am On Feb 19, 2017
Genius000:

1USD : 1.22CAD.

Divide 375 by 1.22 : 307.

So 1 CAD : #307.

Cheers.
Nawa oh
So bad! My only relief is that my sponsor would be paying from us of au

Instead I would advice convert ur school fees from CDN to USD (0.76) to get ur school fees in US currency. Multiply by 375 USD to Naira to get the value in Naira.
(16,000Cad =12217. 94).....12217.95×375=
4,581,727.5
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Samo16: 10:18pm On Feb 18, 2017
Please guys with this new CBN policy of 375USD . Hope it won't increase Canadian exchange rate to Nairahuh
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Samo16: 4:59pm On Feb 18, 2017
For real how does this help Canadian Hopefulls. ...Am kinda lost....On what do we make our calculations? Initially the official rate for US was 304 and was made 375 by CBN (I see there would be availability of form A) Won't it cause an increase in the value of Canadian dollars already standing t about 242 at official rate to Nigeria too...Someone should give clarification on this. I have been using 250 for my calculations for my fees ...Still to apply tho.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Samo16: 5:26pm On Feb 09, 2017
Hello guys. I have been brain storming on which channel to make my payment. My tuition is 16000CND. I have a sponsor my mum and a co-sponsor(Uncle) different surname...My mums junior brother....indicating to pay 8000 CND for me....However it's still my mum paying indirectly. Its just to avoid immediate lodgement of money into her account. Does it make sense the cosponsor making the part payment while my mum still has about 5 million left in her account with a turnover of 8 million. Thanks guys.

CareerRe: Access Bank Forces Staff To Take Cars by Samo16: 2:50am On Sep 02, 2016
GOOD ONE BRO.quote author=vaadol post=2649383]People, i guess we should be more enterprenural in orientation rather than defensive employee mindset. Guess an aggrieved Executive Trainees in Access Bank posted this topic. Yes Entry level recruitment comes with a car in Access Bank and the policy was just implemented. From a reliable source, Based on corporate branding the bank tried syncronizing the type of cars to be given ET's-BO. Some coy's were approached and its only Ford Focus dt d deal has gone through , negotiation is still on-going with other coy's. I heard at least 2-3 options will be available. The person did not tell you its interest free compare to a car loan with interest and its under a comprehensive insurance cover of the bank though the employee will pay a meagre amount for life-span insurance.

I guess the error in the whole car scheme is that it was announced earlier before it was finalized. Really policy cannot be optional cos when salary was reviewed it was not optional and non of the ET's complain of monthly salary of over 150k. The car scheme is to help ET feel more like a professional and not a slave.

I researched this information after reading this topic.

People, when we are discussing let us deal with issues like an enterpreneur and not an employee. I use to work with the organization and i gain alot from them. Those that says we are over working and left to another organization are still employee earning salary till date. Now that i own my business, the aggression and work culture from the organization is of immense value till date. I'm young and doing well cos of the value of going beyond the ordinary i imbibed from the organization. Guess they are doing very well in the market till date too.

My advise for intending enterpreneurs-business world is not a charity organization but profit making venture. Therefore let us learn from every encounter we had while working for an organization because what differentiate success and failure is the confidence to out-perform your competitors. Work in an organization that will give you such and learn as much as you can.

My opinion- Access is a good place to start but if you do not like their rules don't dare to go there. Banking in Nigeria is getting more aggressive so don't join banking cos of the salary cos you'll forever complain about worklife.
