I have got B.Sc Marine Sciences, Masters in Managerial Psychology. I also have Over six years experience has a Customer Relationship Office. Good day fellow nairalanders, I am getting depressed day by day. After my B.tech program in Applied Chemistry (2009), there was good paying job coming up so I took teaching job. I was collecting 14k den. After a while I decided to start my MSc and relocated to Lagos in 2012. I graduated with distinction in 2014. I returned to association of job seekers again, in between got engaged and now I have two kids. I took up another teaching Job again in 2015 and was being paid 25k. Along the line I got another offer in a company selling chemicals with a pay of 50k.

Though d was nothing comparing d distance from Ikorodu to Berger but I took d job with d intention dat may if I step out of Ikorodu I might get better offer. In 2016, due to economic issue d company decided to retrench some of their workers and I was among those dat were retrenched. All along working I was still searching for job cos I know I have not gotten my dream job. I started submitting CVs around school again.

I did few interviews with some of them but they are not ready to pay something reasonable.

I wish I can start my PhD but where is d money? I have been applying for scholarships abroad but not a positive result. The most painful and bittered part of my story is dat my hubby too is jobless. This is eating me up gradually.

I can teach very well and even want start PGD in education once I am able to start a job so dat I can be a better candidate.

I need ur help if u can link me up with a job. I need take care of myself and my kids. Praying to provide job for my hubby and I .... help a soul if u can

am not prayer warrior, but I do pray a lot,right from my tender age, I had this feelings that prayer will solve all things In this life, as I was growing especially after I finished from POLYTECHNIC, I now became more resolute in praying that after NYSC I should see a nice job anywhere in the country...
fast forward a year after NYSC nothing is here on my table....
no job,no money,no connection. am fed up.
i met one of my old friend while in my home town though we are both unemployed,qe jumped at various vacancy available all to no avail,but this my friend (he do pray) but not as fervent as as me,explained to me that either will pray or not what will be will be, at first I was adamant he was wrong, not until he made one simple and brief example..
he said, have I ever pray for sickness before??
I replied with emphatic NO,
He now said do I fall sick or not, I said I do fall sick..
he told me either u pray or not what will be will be.
Reason am throwing this question to this forum.
IS PRAYER OVERRATED??
NB: I HAVE (HND) MECHANICAL ENGINEERING FOR ANY AVAILABLE VACANT POSITION...

I am writing this right now at the verge of breaking down. I am a hustling lady but my business is down.

I combine business with schooling. We just resumed; final year, last semester. But to get foodstuffs to school, and to pay my house rent; which is now due owing to the long strike we embarked on, is a problem as Mimiko has refused to pay my Mom's pension for 5months.
Am doing this with the last hope I have.....coming here to beg isn't an easy choice. Please help

I have a National Diploma in Computer Science Sir, proficient in the use MS office suite, Photoshop, Can work as a driver or dispatch rider or anything just to earn income and stay relevant. I have taught in a primary school, have marketing experience but currently jobless and depressed due to relocation. I decided to look for a market stall to be grinding pepper bt couldnt get money as a result of unpaid peanut I worked for marking at a polythecnic, I ve gathered waste of pure water satchet for months hoping to sell and earn a living only to amt to 4k. My children are known to be chronic debtors at sch I ve even begged for money from a popular Nlander all to no avail i m in tears as i type.

it's almost a year of POP, op I have gone for several interviews, all I use to get is we will call when there is need for it, my brother nah lie o, applied for jobs applliable, even lesser ones, I have been scammed, almost loosing it, but I still trust God, when I saw this post I was a bit relieved because I felt something telling me God will use you guyz for me, please i don't select the type of job right now, I just want to be busy, though I am an Engineering graduate, majored in Power and machines, thank you

I am graduate of Adult Education from UNIBEN with a 2.1. Hv completed my service 2015 and since then no stable job is forth coming. I did a contract job for just two months early this year and since then have been idle. I am currently facing depression as I had to leave Lagos for Ibadan due to accomodation issue. And here again the shame and reproach I face daily is telling a lot on my body system. Words would underestimate what am passing through. But I took solace in God for his best.

Don't know what drove me but i put a cord on my neck n tighten it so hard, i could feel that rapid headache but the after feeling of what i did felt good and relieved i sure would try it again. Depression is a war, you either win or die trying, my heart beat hasn't been slow recently its so fast. Whatever i hope all this stress is worth it, I hope it eventually pays, I hope I have a success story n if i dnt wtevr jare.

I will really like to thank the OP for opening this thread.

I am a graduate of Pure and applied chemistry (2.1) from a reputable university in 2012 & finished my service in 2014 and an HSE certified. Got a merger job in a chemical coy in Ibadan where the pay was very low. Was managing the job and hoping for better opportunities to come forth. But due to economic recession I lost the job around February of this year. The little money I was able to save up has been used literally on seeking a new job- from transportation, feeding, accommodation & general maintenance.
I apply online as others, got few invitations, wrote tests and attended some interviews yet nothing meaningful is forth coming.
Though I keep hoping for the best but I must confess that things are very tight these days. I woke up each day with tears in my heart cos I am really fed up. I even volunteered to help in the scheme of fhi 360/USAID in the distribution of LLIN cos I am just tired of sitting at hone.

depression is an understatement because I fend for my self and sibling, being in ph pressure is mounting up from different direction to do foolish things, this is a social media I really can't explain half of what is going on with me but I am now emotionally weak and don't know what I will do d next minute. I graduated since 2014, studied Food Science and Technology and also have HSE certificate...I will be grateful if any one can help me secure a job am tired of sleeping without nothing, crying everyday to God for connection since everything in nija is all abt connection....pls I really a job to take care of my old age mum she has suffer alot to trained me... but I do ask how can someone in a poor family suffered to go to school n still find it hard to secure a job....

Hi, I've been battling depression for over 5 years, alone, feeling like no human can see or hear whatever I have to say. Anyways, I'm unemployed atm, & would like some assistance in getting a job related to Graphic Design discipline. I've been learning the ropes by myself all the while just to keep my mind & energies engaged & focused. It's way harder than people realize. If anyone can offer some useful advice in getting a job in design, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
