And now, the students were dropped near a police station and no police officer dey for there to witness the scene . . . “They said that if they knew they were Muslim girls they wouldn’t have abducted them,” Mdada said. “They warned the girls that they should stay away from school and swore that if they came back and found any girl in school, they’d abduct them again and never give them back.” . . . . Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, Thursday reacted to
a video of Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi
West, describing him (Bello) as a loser.
Dino Melaye in a recently-released video on Instagram
mocked Bello for trying to pull him down.
Speaking with State House correspondents on the sidelines
of the expanded National Economic Council meeting at the
Presidential Villa, Abuja, Bello claimed that he had not seen
the video as he was too busy to listen to a noise maker.
Bello said, “I don’t know there is any such video from
anybody, I am not aware. Maybe, you may tell me what the
video is all about, I am not aware if there is any such video.
“You see Kogi state is a very complex state and I took it
over when things were really bad and I am doing my best
to ensure that we give quality service to the good people of
Kogi state.
“So any noise maker out there is just disturbing himself. So
I just focused on the job as the executive governor of Kogi
state, and I am doing my best and the people of Kogi state
really appreciate my services to them,” he stated.
On the recent attack in Kogi, he said, “It was a very pathetic
situation where about 12 people were killed and I visited
that place. It is a place that was neglected by their own
people and it was unfortunate that that incident happened
and we have constituted Judicial Panel of Inquiry to look
into the immediate and remote cause of that attack
because this is not the first time that an attack is happening
in that particular area.
“In 2014 it happened where lives and property were
destroyed but thank God with the support of the military,
police and other security agencies were able to quickly
move into action and then that particular incident had been
stopped.
“As we speak arrests are being made and investigations are
on and by the time the Judicial Panel of Inquiry comes up
with its own findings and recommendations, l am sure
there will be a lasting solution to that crisis.”
On People’s Democratic Party (PDP) allegation that the
rescued Dapchi girls was an arrangement, Bello said, “I
think Nigerians are happy with Mr. President for the good
job that he is doing for being proactive and for the quick
response by the military and other security agencies in
rescuing our Dapchi girls, I think it is a good job that they
have done and I really congratulate Mr. President, I
congratulate the APC, I congratulate the government and
good people of Yobe State, I congratulate the girls and their
parents and I congratulate Nigerians.”
“By the grace of God such effort is being made to ensure
that the remaining Chibok girls are brought back. You will
recall that when Mr. President came, probably the APC
might have arranged the kidnap of Chibok girls then. So I
think those that are accusing APC or our government of
arranging such a kidnap are insensitive to the parents, to
the children and to Nigerians. We shouldn’t push politics to
certain level. So we should congratulate ourselves and I am
sure such incident will not repeat itself in the country.”

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has described the release of some of the abducted Dapchi Schoolgirls as a proof that the prayers of Nigerians have been answered. He said this in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, where he also commended President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian security forces as well as the government of Yobe State for the efforts that led to the release of the girls. Mr. Saraki further urged the federal government to ensure the return of the remaining Dapchi and Chibok schoolgirls. The Nigerian government had earlier confirmed the released of 101 of the 110 girls abducted by Boko Haram terrorists from a secondary school in Dapchi, Yobe State. The government initially said 76 girls were released Wednesday but later gave an update. Part of Mr. Saraki’s statement read, “The release of the abducted Dapchi schoolgirls is tremendous news for the country. Our prayers have been answered. “I commend President Buhari, our security forces and the Yobe State Government for their effort in bringing back our girls. However, we cannot stop here. We must not rest until all the Dapchi girls, and the remaining Chibok girls are back home with their families. “I hope that the girls that have been released will soon be reunited with their families and loved ones. It is also necessary that we ensure that they receive the necessary care and rehabilitation that they need to continue to lead normal lives.” The senate president further urged the affected families and the Yobe State Government to do all within their power to ensure that these girls continue their education “as this will be the strongest signal to their abductors that though they may have kidnapped their bodies — they will never break their spirits and their minds.” Source: http://www..ng/news/see-the-message-saraki-sends-to-president-buhari-after-dapchi-girls-was-release |

According to the APC: “The prompt release of
the Dapchi schoolgirls is another solid demonstration of the
political will of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC
administration to secure the lives of all Nigerians. “With this
prompt release of the Dapchi girls, the APC government has
demonstrated how government should respond to such
situations.

“The Party is confident that reforms that the
government has embarked on would improve the capacity
and efficiency of our security agencies to prevent the kidnap
of children by terrorists and diminish their ability to carry
out attacks on soft targets”, APC added

They played their card risking 110 lives |
The ruling All Progressives Congress APC has given
itself a passmark on the government’s handling of the
Dapchi girls abduction.
Lashing at the immediate past administration of President
Goodluck Jonathan for idling away for several weeks when
it was confronted with a similar scenario, the 2014
abduction of scores of school girls in Chibok.
“The APC is extremely delighted with the news of the return
of the schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls Science
Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State by Boko Haram”, its
National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi said
in a statement.
According to the APC:
“The prompt release of the Dapchi schoolgirls is another
solid demonstration of the political will of the President
Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration to secure the
lives of all Nigerians.
“With this prompt release of the Dapchi girls, the APC
government has demonstrated how government should
respond to such situations.
“If the immediate-past Peoples Democratic Party PDP
administration had responded with the similar alacrity, the
Chibok schoolgirls would have been released or rescued.
“Instead, the PDP wasted several weeks wallowing in denial
and conspiracy theories such that it was now left for the
APC government to rescue many of the girls and
rehabilitate them.
“We assure Nigerians that the current administration
remains committed to securing the release of the
remaining Chibok schoolgirl still held in captivity by Boko
Haram and ultimately rehabilitate and reunite them with
their families and loved ones.
“The Party is confident that reforms that the government
has embarked on would improve the capacity and
efficiency of our security agencies to prevent the kidnap of
children by terrorists and diminish their ability to carry out
attacks on soft targets”, APC added.

Funny indeed. Group of terrorist cannot negotiate with terrorist, they will only plan on how to terrorize the people. . . . The error came in when saraki was voted as the senate president |
