ammyluv2002:Thank you, Dear. I couldn't even sleep like I should because I kept trying their mobile app to see if the error has been fixed but nothing still. |
aaronson:In the not too distant future, you would read this post all over and discover your stupidity was golden. |
Truckpusher:They were actually not 'invaded'. The 'exercise' was meant to ground Kanu ahead of the Anambra elections until his 'boys' attacked by pelting soldiers. Interestingly, they uploaded this themselves. Lest I forget, these are the same group of folks who claimed they stashed some weapons somewhere, enough to cripple 'the zoo'. Kanu was captured saying he was going to go to Abuja to fetch Buhari's head. Democracy allows for freedom of speech but never rules out maximum shishi for anyone who threatens the peace of a sovereign state and her citizens. You might not like Buhari's method in this regard and I have personally come out to announce that I regretted voting for him. However, this is one thing I appreciate him for. So far, you are yet to talk about the deaths of Hausas in the East. I guess they are less humans because they never deserved to live in the first place? |
Truckpusher:Here's a reasonable fellow. I'm impressed. Regardless, you should understand that the Biafran issue has become a national issue and our police force isn't cut out for things as these. Interestingly, the court has stalled apart from being on vacation because it feared the rippling effect of revoking Kanu's bail. These IPOB folks are dare-devils. Before now, they had threatened soldiers at checkpoints just to demonstrate they are untouchable. While they might not wield guns, they have bottles, sticks and stones at their disposal, which still counts as weapons, though crude. This has nothing to do with Buhari. This drama is as a result of a people who prefer ready made politics. Yorubas played opposition without violence until Tinubu got it right. They should do the same and not remember Biafra all of a sudden. Right now, the secession and its foot soldiers are fast threatening the peace of the country and every measure possible to tame them would be best. |

Efewestern:That was my regret, actually. My GTB was actually where I transferred from. Sadly, all funds were transferred at the same time since the account belong and subsequent transfers attract charges. |
laudate:It cannot happen. There has never been an alliance and one won't start now. |
MhizzAJ:Your account was frozen in the same manner? |

I have never been confronted with so much stress and bank mishap as this before. Worse still, it remains a lingering issue that is yet to be solved despite my endless calls to their HQ in Lagos. It all started on Monday when I noticed I could not withdraw from my First Bank account. Initially, I had assumed it was a network issue and never bothered to make a big deal out of it. The stunner came when I found out I could not make online transactions with the same account and card. Now to fully understand my plight, one has to know why I am so agitated as I am now: a couple of months ago, I was 'picked' on my way to the office and I lost my wallet, which had four (3) ATM cards (Stanbic, GTB and a UBA card), my voter's card, my company ID Card, some money and some other cards (gift cards, mostly). Fortunately, my First Bank account was being used by a friend at the time and he had my card with him which happened to be my saving grace and the only card which remained after asking the banks to block my cards. I didn't feel the need to replace the cards, so I would normally transfer cash to my First Bank account from the other three and then withdraw using my FB card. Tuesday (The beginning of my horror) ***Fast forward to Tuesday, I visited the FB branch in New Haven, Enugu to make a formal complaint about my account/card, only to be greeted with the news that my account has been frozen! I initially thought it was EFCC related, only to be informed that BVN details do not match my bank records. I protested because I have personally checked up my BVN details in line with my four accounts sometimes back and none was different. The lady asked for my first name which I supplied, the same with my last and middle name. Upon staring at her screen a while, she called a colleague who asked the same and stared back at the screen in confusion. Eventually, he made the same declaration: 'there is a mismatch'. 'But where exactly is the mismatch?', I asked. Surprisingly, he could not point out the mismatch but asked I pick up an 'account information update' form, which I filled and returned to him. Minutes later, he claimed my account would be active in thirty minutes time as he has asked that the account be unblocked. I tried using the account after about an hour and the story stayed same; I could neither transfer funds nor withdraw. I waited till about 4pm to try again, same thing. I called one of their HQ lines '019052000' and my call was transferred to an agent who placed my on hold for over five minutes to check my BVN details as well as my Bank account details. Minutes later, she came back on and apologized that she could see that a mail had been sent, requesting that my account be unblocked and assured that she would do a follow-up which would see that my account would be active the following day, being Wednesday. Wednesday (Hope renewed?) Wednesday turned out to be the same as my account remained frozen. I patiently got to the office and placed a call through to FBN's HQ, in Marina, and was paired with another agent who collected my details all over again and placed me on another brand of hold, came back on later and apologized, assuring me that the issue would be resolved before the day runs out. By 5pm, I had not seen anything positive and I called again to follow-up, only to be promised the same old story of 'it should be active latest tomorrow'. Just like others before, she also sent a mail Thursday (Tired already) I placed a call through on Thursday morning again and the lady at the other end who transfers the calls had already known me by now and she didn't hide her shock at the fact that I am still calling over the same issue. The agent whom I spoke to this time claimed she could see mail trails and several follow-up mails concerning my account. She claimed the guys who would unfreeze my account have not done so, probably because they have not touched the mails . The lady I called before COB, at about 4pm tried to pacify me but being pacified was not what I needed. Who freezes a customer's account for days after an update has been turned in if not First Bank![]() Friday Already, I have lost every hope of having my account activated today because I called again and the lady I spoke with this time came out clean and explained that my details were correct from the outset. She wondered why I would be asked to fill a form and apologize saying the error was actually from them and not mine. Sadly, I was mad at the incompetence and show of shame of First Bank over their prompt issue resolutions and the lady. This same bank held me at ransom sometimes last year when I was debited for an unsuccessful transaction. It took them two solid weeks to refund my account after series of complaint. It is weekend already and I'm not sure I've been short on cash like I am now. Sadly, I transferred from other accounts into my FBN account before the rude shock. I can neither transfer nor access my account because of First Bank's ineptitude. |

Below is a video of men of the Biafra Secret Service and IPOB being feed JOLLOF RICE by the adorable Nigerian Army ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD0yS0MHZ6o |
Some twists in the video: 1. At the start of the video, one of the guys confirmed that he doesn't know where his parents are ad that he is scared. 2. Just a few minutes into the video, the guy recording got a call and he told the person at the other end he is safe. These are people who have vowed to choose death should Biafra not come. Meanwhile, the man who psyched their spirit has disappeared under his father's wrapper. Funniest thing is, this is just an exercise; a prelude to the main thing. They chose to be foolish in place of wisdom. Where is Kanu? Where is his mother? Where is his father? Where is his older brother? Where is his older sister? Where is his wife and children? 'The lion make claims to be king of Jungle. But when the jingle is on fire, the lion seems to be on the run... Can the lion then be said to be greater than the jungle' - Dance of Shame. |
These guys are bloody cowards. So they willingly laid in a muddy water on soldiers' orders, yet, they still have the strength to scream 'no retreat, no surrender'. ![]() |
SlayerForever:Are we distorting facts and history now? Which soldiers of a particular divide launched the selective coup which triggered the civil war? You guys haven't seen anything yet. You have all been fanning the embers of war since Buhari came into power and claimed this is not 1967. Not to worry, I sincerely hope Israel shared her nuclear weapons with Kanu because that would make the score a different ball game. |

This guy isn't a farmer one bit. Which farmer goes to the farm with a trainers More like a trouble maker who got served in the middle. |
djbussy:There are a few thinking Igbos out there and the OP is one. That he does not align with the general madness does not make him a snitch. |
Afam4eva:I'm shocked this is coming from you because you're fast sounding like these IPOB folks; shallow-minded, short-sighted and bereft of ideas. Hausas have been the target since the military berthed fully in the South East and a couple of them have been casualties of the IPOB's act. Should reprisals be carried out, you'd be one of those saying they are beasts. Now that they have chosen to ignore, you are claiming that they are pained. |

lastmessenger:My concern is not the lady's account, but that of another who even posted a picture of someone allegedly dragged by some guys. You want to tell me you didn't see that? |
I'd recommend Trudigits. |
lastmessenger:False news, you say? https://www.nairaland.com/4050395/lady-shares-experience-hands-ipob You have your picture in the above link. Is war avoidable at this point, knowing full well that IPOB is confrontation ready? |
ipoblogic:So 'condemning' the act would bring the burnt man back to life? How about we talk about the truck of an Hausa man burnt in the process. Nope of you witnessed the civil war and you were clearly warned with your style of agitation but you claimed you were ready to lay down your lives. Kindly do, please. Your concern shouldn't be about the ragtag folks in the East now, rather, well meaning Igbos in the North who have laboured to bring bits and pieces together over the years. |
myright:An Hausa man can clearly differentiate between a Yoruba man and an Igbo if asked to different them. Where there would be trouble would be differentiating between core south folks and the Eastern folks. |
You claim Nigeria has shed the blood of the innocent but somewhat overlooked the unfortunate event of the Hausa man that was burnt to death yesterday in Aba. You guys were warned but you called it bluff. Now enjoy the sour meal you failed to attend to in time. The war you all craved so much is gradually unfolding. Enjoy. |
Efewestern:I understand that it is the dream of every Igbo man to live in there Utopia. Regardless, they just must still be squashed. Some scums cannot threaten the collective peace of our nation just because they miscalculated in the last general elections. |
NothingDoMe:Apparently, you cannot see the bigger picture. Gaddafi was high a mighty but was taken out and plucked like a Piñata. I see the Gaddafi treatment being meted on your Supreme god. |
NothingDoMe:Nah, I prefer The Gaddafi treatment for him. |
