If Kanu was abroad now, una go say why is he talking from abroad. Why is he not in Nigeria. he came to Nigeria where his father and relations are and you care so much about his little children joining the fight. Some of you are just inherently silly with the way you reason.
You're typing this from Lagos, yeah? Funny!

Is it unconstitutional not to vote for a particular person or have you ever voted for all presidential candidates before?. Yes or No will do.
No. And is it unconstitutional that the same man you petitioned to meet your needs ignored when you boldly came out to state that you won't vote for him? You hated him before he returned the favour. You guys should count your losses and move on already.

Stupidity is when you want me to love you after telling the whole world that you won't do anything for me since I didn't vote for you in a democratical election, And more stupidity is when you refused to acknowledge this and thinks that I hated you b'cos of GEJ's lost.
Stupidity is when you expect so much from a man whom you clearly told you won't vote for, don't you think?

All suppositions. It's her money and she reserves the right to do what she pleases with it.

She says he has made the money back so why doesn't he want to return it??
'She says' is nothing but assumption. You and I cannot solely rely on all of her accounts, I'm sure you know why.

Regardless, certain things didn't even add up in her account. It is not up to me to start pointing them out. She shouldn't have even ventured into lending him the money since it is everything she breathes and thinks of.

While I'm not ruling out the possibility of her being duped or played, I believe her approach towards this is unwise.

Exactly. What changed? Why is he no longer picking her calls?
Pride, love. His pride must have been bashed. It is possible that she might have harassed him to the point that all of their discussions centred around the money in question. He must have grown tired of explaining time and time again, promising to pay when he can. She might not be interested in those and wants her money back and wouldn't mind going to his place on the day she is off just so she could get her money since the interest isn't forthcoming.

She clearly doesn't mind if the relationship comes to end all because of the money. What changed? I believe without a doubt that her greed and insensitivity opened the dude's eyes. Money is always temporary.

sometimes the way some women act regarding money can be very shameful.

you probably have been bombarding him with calls.
recently promised a girl money by month end and she has literarily been harassing me with calls even when month has not ended.

call less and seek for an avenue to connect with his emotions; I mean he has to be alive to pay you back. so find out if every thing is alright with him
Most ladies can't even keep relationships and it is often times annoying that they can't really see afar. The emboldened are not far from the truth. There must have been an emotional disconnect at this point because money has been prioritised. She claimed she thought of visiting just so she could go and get her money! Who does that?? How about a friendly visit to find out if there are financial hiccups since he is just bouncing back.

The interest part soiled everything and clearly tells a whole lot about her. Perhaps she agreed to assist the guy all because of the interest, perhaps not. However, it speaks volume so much that it is disturbing.
Romance › Re: I Gave My Boyfriend N500k, Has He Duped Me? by Sanchez01(m): 7:44pm On Sep 21, 2017
Immee, you clearly don't live him as professed since you have confessed that you wouldn't mind if the relationship comes to an end all because of money.

Just so you know, people who borrow react in certain ways which are quite funny but understandable. For starters, they would avoid the person who lent them the money. Others would see you and tell you that they remember they owe you and would work towards paying off the moment they get the chance. Another set would shut you out simply because they don't care. The guy in question falls into the first category and all indication points to annoying reminders which is largely responsible for avoiding you. Perhaps you have killed the spark by bringing up the money issue during discourses and as such, doesn't get interested in your conversations like it used to be, or perhaps, his pride is constantly reminding him that he has borrowed from you. We can be that proud.

That said, I think you should get your money and walk away. You clearly wouldn't sacrifice money for your relationship because it has not reached the point of selfless giving. Going ahead with marriage plans next year would only come back to hurt.

Your relationship is strained already and even if he manages to pay back, he wouldn't erase the pressure anytime soon.

I understand Rochas isn't the best thing to happen to a people but looking at the structure closely, one could tell it is dilapitated and beyond fixing. It is always better to take structures as this down rather than ask the owner to patch it and thereafter kill people and then blame the government afterwards.

The building is beyond dangerous.

I'm sorry but this is not the same carnival u attended last year... this is not really like a carnival per se, just publicity stunt from the Governor as Akwaibom celebrate 30 years, wat she is trying to say dat the carnival is not really uniting the people of akwaibom together, more like an Uyo carnival instead of Akwaibom carnival
How is different, please?

The American soldiers don't use their code names to harass citizens or agitators like the Nigerian army.Gerrit!
So IPOB folks have become citizens all of a suddenhuh You need to understand that the military steps into a situation that is considered overwhelming for the police force to handle, particularly one that poses a threat to national security. The IPOB claimed they had nuclear weapons stashed somewhere, the hunchback claimed he would fetch Buhari's head like Perseus did Medusa and you expect the military not to step in because the person who threatened a sitting president is a citizen?? You guys are yet to figure out what has befallen you.

This carnival thing has become disgusting in my eyes. They should do something else abeg. How about hosting a festival that unites all the parts of Akwa Ibom in the state capital, Uyo.
How is a carnival disgusting? Its aim is to attract tourists to a particular area and in turn, benefit the state.

Most countries all over the world celebrate a carnival or two. Notable carnivals which we would term meaningless is the beer carnival in Germany and the tomatoes carnival in Spain.

This particular carnival celebrates the Akwa Ibom culture, particularly its dressings. I spent a week in Akwa Ibom last year because of this same carnival and although lapses could be noticed, it didn't stop people from several parts of the country witness the carnival.

The wack name still does not affect the effectiveness of the operation! So I am earnestly waiting for "operation cobra dab" to commence!
The name isn't wack. The United States have severally adopted certain code names which are rather direct than subliminal. At some point, the U.S. military have chosen codes such as;

1. Operation rolling thunder: The code name for bombing Vietnam.

2. Operation Overlord
3. Operation desert storm
4. Operation EAGLE CLAW (How is this any different from the python dance?)

Abati was only responsible for counselling the president on media before his boss was booted and last I checked, he was never in the military.

It is already five working days since this request was tabled before the bank and even though they claim it was frozen in 'error', they still have not been able to proffer a solution.

Arrest him for what? Exercising his fundamental human right by speaking up for oppressed people? Its like sense has left you.
Calm down, Dearie. The Igbos are not oppressed here. We all saw this happening sooner or later, save we want to tell ourselves lies. The IPOB and everything it stood for, other than propaganda, was nothing but trouble. They claimed they had nuclear weapons, external support and vowed to see Nigeria crumble.

Beyond that, they had already overpowered the NPF. A couple of videos of how they stormed police stations demanding the release of their colleagues until they were dispersed with sporadic shootings in the air. Kanu had instructed his illiterates to burn the zoo should his bail be revoked and also pledged to bring back a sitting president's head from Abuja during his next court hearing.

Had these folks been in their homes, they would sure not have been asked to lie in murky waters, let alone shoot at them. They vowed to lay their lives for their struggle and you sure don't expect soldiers to approach them without arms, without ruling out the potentiality of the newly formed secret service.

Do we talk about Hausa properties that were destroyed and the lives they took? How about those looking out for Hausas in public transports?

They had it coming, without a doubt. This madness started the moment they knew they had miscalculated politically. They were so many Igbos under Jonathan who had juicy appointments than any other ethnic groups. He promised them a whole lot but did nothing, and all of a sudden, they remembered the homeland that never existed just because a Fulani man came into power.

If they cannot wait for the next eight years to get their wrongs right, then let them do their worst. We have well over 200 ethnic groups in Nigeria, yet, it has to be them. I guess others are not important in the scheme.

Not to worry, I'll send you an e-book shortly; 'Oil, Politics and Violence'. It happened over fifty years ago and it's happening all over again...

A couple of miscreants under the aegis of IPOB were dealt with and not the Igbo race.

Don't deceive yourself

IPOB will change tactics in recruiting more members and confronting the oppressive Nigerian state.

The days of rallies are over

Now is the time for underground evangelism

IPOB should engage in philanthropical evangelism that addresses the needs of the people in order to win more converts

As their numbers increases, they should give them the technical knowledge that will enable them to Restore and Develop Biafra at the appropriate time.
Since you don't think, here are a couple of things that would happen, going by your idea;

1. Should IPOB confront the military, they would only succeed in taking the region back by 10 years. And I believe we all know that this is a region struggling to grow.

2. The military would suffer casualties but yours would take the blow more.

3. Economic activities would be paralysed because fear would rent the heart of innocent folks.

4. This would very quick and decisive because unlike the North, you guys don't have vast wastelands and deserts.

Either way, it would be your loss in the end as the battlefield would be your region.
