laudate:They really don't understand. They claim to draw strength and motivation from the likes of Catalonia who is allowed to operate a regional government and her politicians extremely active in the secession struggle while theirs is a different ball game. Their brute, crude and demeaning approach is what they count on to secede without a fight. Pathetic, if you ask me. |

ammyluv2002:This is too much |
These guys think Western involvement in the affairs of Nigeria over Biafra and Kanu would make the state lose sleep. Catalans were pummelled and left distraught by the Spanish government on the first of October over a similar issue and neither the UN nor any other country in the world has spoken against or 'threaten' Spain. The Kurds are presently being threatened with 'excessive force' by not only Turkey but Iran and the much revered UN has been mute. And then the case of Biafra... The ICC and the Hague might be disturbed repeatedly via their social media handles but it would not change the fact that they would turn a blind eye and pretend. If anyone wants to secede, let them do so through their politicians in both chambers since our political modus operandi is not the same as Spain's. Until then, anyone who forms a group or riles up the nation would be considered a terrorist. As it stands, no one can truly claim the army has him just as no one can claim he didn't flee when the Nigerian Army came calling. |

“Our attention has been drawn to memos circulating on social media claiming TSTV illegally used the logo of Bein Sport and Tuner on its website. We wish to state that this is malicious and false. The memos circulating on social media are FAKE. Both letters were packaged in a single brown envelop and was hurriedly dropped at our office by an unidentified person.DSTV don't know when to quit. |
The Letter to the VP was written in May while the petition to the EFCC was in March. This is no way new. It would be foolish to hang out to Ibe's report alone. I believe there is more to this than the supposed outcry by the alleged leak yesterday. |
bilms:I actually meant a detailed profile about his person. His resumé would tell a lot about him and if at all he has served in strategic positions before now, I believe people would love to know how well he succeeded or failed. That would be more appreciated. |
speedyGonzales:The whole essence of life is not in the 'art of war'. That particular quote would work better for Atiku and not a new face coming into an arena that is totally different from where he has been. He needs all the publicity he can get right now, so long he has made some life changing decisions in the life of people whom he served and those who served him. |
I doubt if he has half the clout Buhari has but he might have my vote come 2019 seeing he is young and probably educated. I am tired of having brain dead folks with nothing but nepotism at the tip of their caps. Can someone please post a link to his bio? |
ammyluv2002:DSTv agents have been playing mind games with people to discourage them for fear of being put out. By next week, their annoying call centre guys would beg people to subscribe to get one month extra. Nigerians are clearly tired of DSTV. |

fratermathy:Interesting. I read the play years back. How he understood the Yorùbá culture to perfectly describe the 'Abiku' still beats my imagination till date. Any link to the piece 'Udje'? |
fratermathy:Was he the first? Met him at the University of Ibadan while I went for a conference in my second year. Frank AIG Imokhuede is one of ours I respect deeply. |
I used to know Prof Babs Fafunwa before he passed on. Prof Dibu Ojerinde, last I checked, was an HOD at the Faculty of Education, Obafemi Awolowo University. Quite surprising that Prof. Adeyanju, the first Educational design and technology professor is not on the list. |
Odingo1:I know you guys are afraid of seceding without oil producing states, just as you are not ready for Biafra. Catalonia is made up of a people who speak one language and share just one cultural heritage. The Old Eastern region is flawed just as the Nigerian system. If given the chance today, you would only leave with your five Eastern states and a tiny fraction of Delta and Rivers. Sad but true. |
yang:You guys were whooped silly and your then leader fled. There is no way you would call that an act of black retribution, save you want to mention the Aba riot that was led by women. |
internationalman:Without a doubt, yes. |
internationalman:The future of Nigerian cable television and the seeming hope of a true monopoly breaker in Nigeria. |
zionmade1:IT IS WRONG! You should not call the name of your Pastor's whatever in prayer because it is a blind act if you can vouch for an imperfect man in a desperate world. Tope Alabi did this in one of her songs. She said she would have been nowhere today if not for the God of Àjànàkú. In the end, it turned out 'the holy prophet' was a strong cultist who was buried by his Ogboni colleagues when he passed on. If you know and understand the God you serve then you would equally have the foresight that you have no business calling on the God/god of your pastor. |
TarOrfeek:For the record, Spar is a subsidiary of Artee Group and the latter is a Dutch company. Spar has no affiliation with South Africa. |
1. Spain won't allow Catalonia secede. 2. Ahead of the votes, the referendum has already been declared illegal. 3. This would be the second referendum Catalonia would be taking in five years. 4. The Spanish government is already clamping down on Catalan officials, all in a bid to stop the referendum from taking place. The referendum would not work, really, should the voting process go ahead. |
Orgym:I got mine very recently and sadly I paid 18,900 for the decoder+antenna and a month subscription. I heard the decoder is very scarce, which is responsible for the inflation as opposed to certain amounts being mentioned on social media. I am not sure CTL covers Ondo State. I believe you should find out first. |
This would impact the bank as lesser revenue would be generated on card acquisition, save the bank would charge for each and every transaction performed via the app. |
It is strange seeing PDP already towing the path of a second death before the general elections in 2019. |

Efewestern:Supposed Uniqueness Catalans feel they are very different from the rest of Spain, most importantly Madrid which happens to be the capital of Spain. Their food, culture, language, among a host of others are thought to be different. For no just cause, they feel they must have their own indigenous country, strictly for Catalans. Economy Catalonia is one of Spain’s richest and most industrialised regions. The region is home to Barcelona, a vibrant economic and cultural hub as well as a popular tourist destination. Its thriving manufacturing, food-processing, metalworking and chemical industries, along with a growing service sector, make it Spain’s economic powerhouse. In fact, secession would cost Spain nearly 20 percent of its economic output. Spain’s economic crisis has fueled calls for independence, with many Catalans believing the affluent region props up poorer areas. Catalonian independence would also trigger a row over how to split Spain’s deficit. Most importantly, Pro-Catalans feel their rich region of 7.5 million people has long put more into Spain than it has received in return. They are not marginalised, interestingly, they just feel they are no longer comfortable being a part of Spain. I must also add that the lumping of Catalonia with Spain was a grave mistake from the outset. Catalonia was a blend of Christian and Muslim communities before the Spanish Christian invasion around 800BC. |
Ishilove:You won't believe I screamed 'Jesus' when I saw the response. ![]() |
Ishilove:The OP posted something he thought funny which wasn't, really. Someone questioned the incoherent words on the pictures and the OP went full savage. No one should be allowed to go full savage ![]() |
Efewestern:This is a huge blow to Catalonia. The Prime minister and Trump had already rubbished the second referendum before it is taken. And to think we have people banking in Trump and the UN to rescue them is laughable. Catalonia should rest for now before it gets out of hand. I wish I met the speech in time. |

I love this statement you made: "If anyone wants to secede, let them do so through their politicians in both chambers since our political modus operandi is not the same as Spain's. Until then, anyone who forms a group or riles up the nation would be considered a terrorist. "
