Efewestern:Urhobo uses Igho and not Ego. The Uvwie Dialect is indeed different. I was thinking it was the same as Ughweru. |
Efewestern:I just might be the first to use it the way Ishi wrote it. ![]() Ishilove:Shey you want to start cheating? You want to tell me you don't know solo tu means 'only you' in Spanish? This is how you'll start using someone's heart to play lawn tennis. ![]() |
Ishilove:No shame, baby. No shame at all ![]()
|
Ishilove:Chisos! ![]() Sweets, which one is that na? ![]() You and Efewestern just want to kill me this night. |
Ishilove:Now the black man blushes, ![]() You just wait for me to serve you the Waffi pidgin tomorrow ![]() |
Efewestern:Efe, bia, take ya time o. How am I supposed to transliterate that? Not sure I'm that efficient with the dialect ![]() |
Ishilove:Why are you like this? My natural accent is laced with my proud Deltan heritage. So where would I have gotten British accent from? ![]() |
Efewestern:Lol. I grew up in a complex society in my formative years with the Ilajes, Hausas, Ijaws, Ghanaians and a few Urhobo folks. Interestingly, I bloomed late when I should have started talking. It was more of confusion for me at the time. The funniest part came years later because I could clearly understand them and respond in pidgin or English. Mostly pure English because I can barely speak pidgin for five straight minutes ![]() I understand Isoko quite well. By the way, is Uvwie the same as Ughweru? Not sure if I got that correctly. |
ammyluv2002:Choi! You have started tormenting people too ![]() |
Efewestern:The Ijebu variation of the Yoruba language is quite funny. You wouldn't have issues understanding it if you indeed understand the Yoruba language. |
Ishilove:Sweet Jesus ![]() I understand the Central Urhobo dialect, as well as the Isoko language. I understand the Yoruba dialect of the Oyo people, as well as the Ijebu dialect, the Ife dialect, 'Ulesa', the Ilesha dialect, and a bit of Ilaje and Lagos Yoruba ![]() Ẹ̀yà èdè tí mo gbọ́ pọ̀ ![]() We both know the person with the British accent is you ![]() |
Efewestern:The Okpe part though. ![]() I understand Uvwie perfectly but can't speak it. That of Okpe... Oh well, it's like German because Spanish is even simpler to learn ![]() I understand Isoko quite well even though I can't speak it at all. |
And another report would surface tomorrow about how an unfortunate fellow committed suicide because of this mumu club ![]() |
kenny987:Nigeria is estimated to be populated by 150-170 million people. The East stays behind the North and the West, population wise. So saying Igbos command about 50 million is saying Igbos command 1/3 of Nigeria's population. What then would the North with 19 states command? How then does minority group come into give us the number? It is amazing how there is no baby chest beater in you guys. You all pull phantom stats and figures without reasoning. The same way one claimed Nnewi alone has two million Igbos. |
cyril83:He cannot. He is but a merc boxer. I don't really understand why this win is being celebrated. We're talking about an MMA fighter who trolled into boxing and many see this as a big win. Worst still, added to his wins. |
slam7000:The emboldened sums it up. The weakest heavy weight boxer could beat Floyd hands down in a bout. This is why there are classes and weights, and for every of Floyd's citation or profile that would be read in the nearest future, his weight would be included. It is funny how Mammy becomes the reference to Mayweather's boxing career and you sounded like you just started following boxing recently. |
Clone2020:Which Super Eagles Should Lakers switch to football today, they would still end up beating the Nigerian team, not because they would be better in the end but because our coach and players would have gone on two days strike, protesting how the NFF has not paid their bonuses and the NFF would not even have their time because they would be in court over presidential tussle. Any national team bit ours, biko. |
LordOfNaira:This is wrong. He is not even in the heavy weight class and here you are saying he is one of the greatest boxers of all time. |
AntiIPOB:For the record, I am not a customer care agent. There would always be unsatisfied customers no matter how smooth your delivery is. Like I mentioned, the Unlimited plans are without issues so far and I have never heard those to me complain about it. Again, there would always be aggrieved customers who feel Airtel does not care about them because they felt their concerns were unattended to. Interestingly, these concerns could be the fault of the customer but being who we are in Nigeria, we would rather have others suffer for our shortcomings. But then again, quality assurance is key and an aggrieved customer would always be a source of concern to the business. It takes a whole lot of trust for a customer to participate with his money just so he could latch on to your service. The unlimited plan the OP subscribed to isn't the issue as painted but rather a network related issue, most likely location based. If you have issues with your line, I'd recommend you try as much as possible to investigate on your part before concluding. Often times, aggrieved customers make decisions that are rather rash. Churn is not what the business looks forward to, not in the least of ways. |
AntiIPOB:If I am to judge you with the emboldened, I would rebuff your claim about being a Globacom staff. There are two kinds of bandwidth; the shared bandwidth which we all use on our phones and the dedicated Internet bandwidth which involves using a radio to pull capacity from the nearest Base station to a customer's server room. Now the difference between these two is that shared bandwidth could be affected by so many factors, not forgetting that download speeds would vary since it is shared by all customers in a particular location. Wrong or outdated access point setting (s) on customer's devices, data network type restrictions (2G or 3G only settings on device), proximity of the closest 3G site to a customer, high data traffic during peak hours, the thickness of walls in out homes or offices among many other factors impact customer experience so far data is mentioned. The shop folks can only take up a customer's complaint based on what he or she says. If a resolution is arrived at the shop, it is believed the issue has been treated and the case closed. The shop guys don't concern themselves with network issues in a particular location as it is the responsibility of an Area Sales Manager who operates within the affected location. He or she has to speak up because it would impact his performance and a quick response from the network team is always in place to see that the problem is corrected on the part of the business. I don't need to run Globacom down because I sure believe there would have been a massive improvement if attention is paid to network anomalies as you claimed in your post. |
AntiIPOB:That you do yours that way doesn't mean others would follow suit. Besides, you quoted me when you clearly didn't understand what you quoted. Now tell me, please, do you visit a potential customer's location before he or she bundles on any of your data? Like I earlier mentioned, a customer's complaint is always taken and sent to the network team who would run series of tests and possible optimize the site for more boosting, that is, if their findings correspond with the customer's. Apparently, you quoted me clearly because you didn't understand my post. However, most customer's complaints are usually via drive tests around their locality. |
TheBawse:I quite disagree with the emboldened. Sadly, it is believed that his subscription is running and I'm sure the OP would confirm same, particularly since he mentioned that he is only impacted in the office. About the KYC issue, truth be told, it is not the function of a network provider to visit the location of a customer just so they could verify 3G access over shared bandwidth (mobile). For a customer to subscribe to a data as the unlimited plan, then it means he is aware of the network strength in his location before going ahead to do so. However, an optimization is usually carried out on busy areas where there are more people who would feel the impact more while responses might be slow in areas where people are not much. Often times, when people call the Customer Care agents to scream and yell and they still can't do a thing to improve the customer's request, it is not because they don't want to, rather, they don't have the power to do so. The same applies to people at the shop just as the OP reported. I have so many family friends who are currently using the Unlimited plans and they have not complained for once. The move by the handler was wrong and totally condemnable, and does not in any way come off as the nature of the business towards her customers. |
cleanshaven:The Unlimited 10 plan is an Unlimited internet basic plan of the Airtel Unlimited series recently rolled out. A monthly subscription plan is N10,000 and if you're subscribing for the first time, I'd recommend you do two months subscription as it would allow you to get a free month extra plus a Mi-Fi device. That is, N20,000= 3 months of unlimited Internet access + a mobile Wi-Fi device. Another thing to note is that the unlimited 10 plan has a fair usage policy of 40GB monthly. Once you reach the threshold, you would still be able to surf and do other things, just that your data speed would throttle. The Unlimited 15 plan would get you the same number of Internet access as the unlimited 10 but with a Router as your free device instead of a mobile Wi-Fi. |

kolomax:I honestly don't know why the handler would do so but truth be told, it was a bad move on the part of the person who did. Sadly, Airtel would pay for the person's wrongdoing. It's a sad situation, really. |
Apologies though. First off, the Unlimited 20 plan is a 20k monthly plan. Immediate two months would see that you get a two months Unlimited subscription + one month free and a WI-FI and not a MI-FI as you stated. The Unlimited 10 is the one that comes with a MI-FI. Your problem was more of a network issue than the data subscription itself and the network guys that came around your office would only relay their findings to their head who would in turn push for an optimization in the area. The Shop attendants are managers are sales people and don't have full grasp of network issues and how it affect customers. Your complaint at the shop wouldn't have changed much as the Shop manager does not have the capacity to resolve your issue. For certain reasons, your location has poor network 3G coverage and you didn't share if it has been like this or it started recently. Either way, you should go back to the shop to demand for your extra free month, if you never got it that is. |

Brooke60:Mine took place in CV in 2015 but with a Chinese folk. It was a nightmare that day and he never stopped talking. I looked on in awe and my who had gone with me was determined to create a scene I considered too embarrassing. In the end, I left and ditched the phone. Tecno, Itel and the other inferior brands are only good for those they are good for. The real trouble would always rear its ugly head the moment your device develops a fault, regardless of the amount you spent buying it. |
Several factors must be taken into account to answer this. If your wife is working and doing well, then you don't need to earn a 'heavy' six figure or even have to kill yourself looking for a job that would give you such. However, this is not to say that one must not strive or look out for something big. How is the standard of living in the state you are like? The cost of rent and the type of apartment you occupy and the proximity of your work place to your home. Another to greatly consider is your spending power. Believe me, if these questions come off as unsuitable, not even N300-N350k would give you joy as expected. Meanwhile, a family of three would comfortably live off the salary of man who earns N150k in a not too demanding environment. |
Ximenez:For sure. Guardiola is quite vindictive as Mourinho and both don't mind chasing after players and humiliating them wherever they go. For Guardiola, he had his fair chance with fate but I don't see it ever happening again. He should try winning the Premier League first before coming to talk about winning the Champions League and a possible treble. |
P0intBlank:Just when I was beginning to think you truly understand football. The Galacticos era had so much flop and one mighty one was a star studded side with individual talents. They never played as a team, save for the time they defeated an Italian team 4-1. I can't really recall the team now but that was the only match I watched in 2002 that gave me the feeling that these guys played as a team. Perez signed Kaka but Mourinho managed him and he ended up being a flop. The Mourinho team had fair success with goals but Ancelotti came in to win the the Champions League, with Mourinho's same team. I hope this is not too difficult to understand now? |
