https://img.uefa.com/UploadedMedia/1/10758/F101/GettyImages-473191720.jpg Juventus have a very impressive record in European Cup semi-finals, winning eight out of 11 over the years. The last came two years ago when they beat Real Madrid 3-2 but both teams have changed quite a lot since then. |
In a poll conducted by the online version of Diario AS, two-thirds of Real Madrid fans say they would prefer to face Atlético in the final having beaten their neighbours to claim their Décima and Undécima. Atlético fans are split almost 50-50. Much like the club itself, they feel that should it be a final between the two sides, it is a positive - it means another Champions League final! |

The other? Zlatan Ibrahimović. They're certainly not the only world-class players never to get their hands on 'Ol Big Ears (yet). How about these as a starter for ten? Michael Ballack, Patrick Vieira, Pavel Nedvěd, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Lilian Thuram, Hernán Crespo, Fabio Cannavaro, Francesco Totti, Ronaldo, Lothar Matthäus. |

They would rotate their players less than Atlético, who have a more defined position in the table and can manage themselves by resting players ahead of UEFA Champions League games. |
https://img.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Photo/competitions/Comp_Matches/02/45/95/42/2459542_w1.jpg Did you know? On each of the previous three occasions Real Madrid knocked out Bayern in the UEFA Champions League from the quarter-final stage, the Spanish team went on to lift the trophy. Me: Lord, speak... Your son is listening ![]() |
https://img.uefa.com/UploadedMedia/1/10758/F101/GettyImages-670159304.jpg Zinédine Zidane, Madrid coach I don't mind who we get, we'll see what happens. Last time we got Bayern and people said it wasn't time for the two of us to meet but that didn't turn out badly. |

https://img.uefa.com/UploadedMedia/1/10758/F101/GettyImages-614823378.jpg The semi-finals will witness the 143rd and final European game at the Vicente Calderón. The stadium, which opened in 1966, is being demolished later this year and Atleti are moving 16km to the newly-built Metropolitano. The Calderón has seen 104 home wins, just 14 for the away team. |
https://img.uefa.com/UploadedMedia/1/10758/F101/GettyImages-528118090.jpg This is Atleti’s fifth European semi-final in the last eight years – and they won all the previous four (two apiece in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League). |
https://img.uefa.com/UploadedMedia/1/10758/F101/GettyImages-3235232.jpg More mature Real Madrid fans may still have nightmares about the Merengues' 2004 meeting with Monaco. The then nine-time European champions had one foot in the semi-finals after a 4-2 first-leg win – only for their former striker Fernando Morientes to come back to haunt them in the return, a 3-1 victory taking the Ligue 1 outfit through. A certain Mr Zidane was in the Madrid side. |
https://img.uefa.com/UploadedMedia/1/10758/F101/GettyImages-670343868.jpg Joe Walker, Madrid Are Monaco the team to avoid? Diario AS think so, if you're Real Madrid. "There's many reasons, but the most evident is the characteristics of Jardim's side: they're young, talented and have nothing to lose. All the pressure would be on Madrid, which is something they do not like. "Being the overwhelming favourites can be daunting. Besides, since Zidane took the reins, Madrid have been at their absolute best in big games and drawing Atlético or Juventus would leave the tie 50-50." http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2017/draws/round=2000786/index.html |

Kingsley1000:How true is this? Are you saying the said projects being uploaded here is nothing but farce? |
fr3do:He did, obviously. Interestingly, I didn't see him diving because I was submerged. I only felt a great thud and when I popped back up, others who were not in the pool started pointing in my direction. He sank so fast while struggling to stay afloat. As a response to your initial post, one cannot curb pool deaths, unfortunately. I think a better way of minimizing deaths would be to make more pool floats available in the water. It helps those who can't swim. In my recent trip to PH, I came out of my hotel room one morning, decided to use the pool like I would do. I did a couple of back and forth swims for almost 10 minutes and proceeded back to my room, only for these two guys to walk up to me, asking if the pool is deep. It was a funny moment in time because the pool is not only wide, it was so deep that its slope must have been 9ft deep. I am forced to agree with you on the diving part though but providing more pool floats would save a whole lot. |
Chuksonyeike:Simple, the same way you arrived at the conclusion that Babachir. While I believe there is ever reason to flush out corruption from every sphere of our polity, the FG reserves the right to do so by exploiting every available means in doing so. |
Chuksonyeike:Truth is, adjourning the case for that long is unhealthy. It is quite interesting that you, an anti-Buhari, is interested in the prosecution of a corrupt public official under a man you loathe, whereas, Jonathan whom most of you worship and revere did nothing. |
Chuksonyeike:@the emboldened, not true! The problem is that the judiciary itself riddled with corruption, just as the other two arms of government. OBJ had his fair share with the judiciary, the same as Jonathan. |

HungerBAD:How did you beat me to this ![]() I could remember mentioning this on a particular thread. It is funny though. Obiano is a politician and would exploit every available means to win. If the PDP claims that Obiano neglected Nnewi, Ojukwu's hometown, I believe it is only natural that the people vote him or against him. Some politicians went as far as using a dove, assumed to be the Holy Spirit in their poster. The one below is an example: www.nairaland.com/attachments/1837342_adedayo_____dddo511781edit_jpeg_jpeg6f2cba83411de3282fd5838d27c8a272 Mynd44 Lalasticlala |

deji15:I guess he is trying to teach us how to pick gold bars on the streets of Nigeria, since that is what applies in his utopia. krendo:There are several Supreme court justice in Nigeria. Perhaps you have proof of the reason the FG clamped on the Justice in question? |
deji15:He is a Biafran, and not a Nigerian. |
Chuksonyeike:Is comprehension difficult now This is a case of false asset declaration and not Buhari. While I understand why you are pained, I am so confused as to why you would stand and align with corruption just because you hate Buhari. This has nothing to do with Babachir and Oke, I believe. You could as well claim it is another marginalization move by the FG. |
deji15:Probably to perfect and cover every loophole which the CCT could use against him. The Nigerian judiciary is a mess. Mynd44 Lalasticlala |
A Supreme court justice. One wonders why corrupt public officials walk freely after anti-graft agencies find incriminating things on them. |

MrEgbegbe:Obviously, yes. But a hundred (100) 5 star hotel? C'mon! histemple: penta:There are no pool lifeguards in recreational pools, for privacy reasons. The only condition wherein a lifeguard would be on standby would be during a pool party. I remember a time I stayed a week in an hotel in Lekki. Long story short, a friend who thought swimming is natural dived from the 6ft section. Luckily, I and couple of other friends were there. He had a fill of the pool before we dragged him out. Funniest part is, the hotel manager came out and asked if he should call an ambulance. Some of my friends were angry that there should have been a lifeguard on standby and kept on ranting about how they would have lost a friend. I couldn't argue much because I had always known how it works. We never had a pool party, so there was no need for a lifeguard. The hotel in question is a very popular one in Lekki and it's a four-star hotel. This happened about four years ago. I think the problem here is mistaking a sporting pool for a recreational pool within an hotel. |
MrEgbegbe:Lol! There are no life guards and recreational pools. I have never seen one myself. The question should have been 'are pool floats (or floaters) provided to noobs who intend to use the pool? There are life guards, however, in sporting pools, and it's mandatory to have them. @the emboldened, continuuu ![]() |
