Reference:The same aging squad that humiliated Arsenal or is it that the players added ten years to their age before meeting Madrid? I am not understanding, please ![]() |
Punctual:So you still think Leicester City owns the Champions League? ![]() We don't celebrate mediocrity here. There is a reason it is called CHAMPIONS League ![]() |
Alphasoar:Is it not the same game we're watching? ![]() |

Alphasoar:Ogbono or okra, Madrid would go through. We're good ![]() |
Rapahel1116:Wrong, wrong, wrong! There is something you must understand and that is the fact that no matter how badly Messi or Ronaldo play, they can never just top five but top two. I'll break it down for you. Lewandowski is a brilliant striker, the same goes for Griezman, but do you sincerely think veteran football journalists would leave Ronaldo to vote them for the coveted prize Neymar would win the Ballon d'Or, but the time is not now. He has so many scandals on his head, coupled with the current suspension. You might ask how it affects the award. Players' actions have a way of swaying voters, that's the truth. Should Madrid win the UCL again, take it from me, Ronaldo would win the award for several reasons; 1. The first ever team to win it back to back since its reformation 2. The first player to hit the century mark in all European competitions 3. The first player to hit the century mark in the Champions League (trust me, Ronaldo would bag his three goals before the final and even top it) Now tell me how the likes of Lewandowski, Griezman and Neymar beat him to the Ballon d'Or. |
samwhi:How can we thank you when you don't know who's at home between Real and Bayern? ![]() |
Punctual:They can, for sure, but this is different ball game (pun intended). I don't even see them going past Atleti, let alone Juventus or Madrid. |
kpaofame:I just weak ![]() |
Punctual:You think this is the BPL? ![]() |

Suspect33:Chisos ![]() Truth is, Juventus is the most defensive side in the Champions League, and I must also admit that the only team with all four (goalkeeper-defenders-midfielders-attackers) balanced part of the pitch is Juventus. Barcelona's backline would be duly exploited again, just like it was in the first leg. Messi would need more than Magic to beat Buffon repeatedly, while putting Alves, Chiellini and other defensive monsters into consideration. The most important question is, can Barcelona prevent Juventus from scoring? |
TippyTop: ![]() How, please? Enlighten me, biko. |
raker300:Clowns everywhere ![]() |
Suspect33:There is no need waiting. Bayern, at this stage, have nothing to lose and would seek to run riot at the Santiago. Unfortunately, they cannot stop Madrid from scoring goals, which would dash their dreams. As for Barcelona, PSG might have been useless, but don't expect that level of craze from The Old Lady. Barcelona would be seen out and Madrid would have a pound of flesh at the weekend. This whole thing would take place in less than a week. We gat this ![]() https://b.fssta.com/uploads/2017/03/zidane-ancelotti-ucl-draw.vadapt.767.high.0.jpg |
seguno2:I have been to a couple of art galleries before and most of them often have white folks who are more interested in African arts than other forms. Nike Arts Gallery is owned by a Nigerians and a Yoruba woman, yet you just can't stop seeing white folks, who are not just interested in exhibitions but learning and studying African Arts. That a white woman is painting does not necessarily mean it was awarded to a foreign art company. I stand to be corrected though, I am not sure I have seen a gallery owned by a white person in Nigeria. |
TheFreeOne:You don't just move to the cities in the name of greener pastures without plans. The bulk of crime in inner cities today are caused by folks who left their villages, believing they would pick gold bars on the streets of these cities. Eventually, they constitute nuisance and see crime as means of survival. Government is for the people, true, but there are governments in the villages they are coming from. Living in cities isn't by force. |
Ten12:Two things define Lagos; bridges and the waters. |
NwaforIgbo:There is no way they would blame the colonial masters as that would imply they are stupid. It is on record that the North rejected the British rule, which triggered indirect rule as a second option, as opposed to other areas the British government directly governed. |
IamaNigerianGuy:Don't be deceived. That some of them are speaking up does not mean all of them are. The likes of Atiku and other elites would greatly discourage education among them just to control them and use religion as a tool in warping their minds. The madness of the girl bride is so common among them because majority of them are uneducated. You don't see the likes of SLS's youngest daughter, or Zahra given out at the age of even 18, yet there is a notion that you are old and might not get a man once a young lady clocks 18. |
Atiku2019:What is the literacy rate in Atiku's hometown? Balarabe is right. Then again, I strongly believe religion has played a vital role in the backwardness of the region. Truth is, the people would be 'liberated', particularly in their ways of certain religious practices should they get education. 'Boko Haram' comes to mind. |

Real eye record - the stats 1. All five previous teams winning 2-1 away from home in the first leg of their Champions League knockout tie have progressed to the next round. 2. This is the 24th European Cup/Champions League fixture between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid - the 18th under the Champions League era - a record in the history of the tournament. 3. Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are perfectly level in their European Cup/Champions League knockout encounters, progressing five times each. 4. Bayern have lost eight of their last 10 away games against Real in all competitions (W2), including the last five. In fact, Bayern last beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in May 2001 thanks to a goal by Giovane Elber (1-0). 5. Real Madrid have reached the semi-finals in each of the previous six seasons. A seventh in a row would constitute a new record. 6. Since 2010-11, Real Madrid have won 34 of their 40 Champions League games at the Bernabeu (D4 L2). Their two defeats during that time were against Barcelona in April 2011 (0-2) and Schalke in March 2015 (3-4). 7. Real Madrid have also never failed to score in their last 34 Champions League home games, longest ever run in the competition. Barcelona were the last team to leave the Bernabeu with a clean sheet (2-0 in April 2011). |
Suspect33:Let me break it down for you, the only reason Ronaldo might not win the Ballon d'Or this year is if he fails to win the Champions League. Messi might be leading tally-wise, but I'd tell you that Ronaldo currently has the spotlight at the European stage, all thanks to his first Century of goals. Both players have not been at their best so far but the best Messi would likely end up with is an European Golden Shoe should Madrid win the Champions League again. Don't forget that Barcelona's highlight so far is the incredible comeback against PSG. Messi was in the team when Juventus trumped them. Goals enough won't earn Messi the Ballon d'Or. |
purplekayc:Should we beat Bayern today, then I don't see any team stopping us, just as I don't see Barcelona beating Juventus. Meanwhile, below is the highlight of last week's match ![]()

thesicilian:What on God's earth are you talking about? The youths in attendance are from all over the world. Love World's HQ and Chris' base is South Africa. Just so you know, you can't attend the Easter Camp Out if you don't pay a sum. He is a man I admire a lot but taking the church's HQ to South Africa is a great disservice to Nigeria. |
Key Factors to Consider -Real Madrid are on 11-match unbeaten run in all competitions -Bayern Munich won only 1 of their last 4 games -The Bavarians failed to score this weekend for the first time since November 2016 -Los Blancos have won last four meetings with Bayern Munich -Real Madrid have always progressed after winning the first leg away from home Conclusion Real Madrid are relishing the opportunity to seal the win and finish what they’ve started in Germany against an out-of-form opponent. Bayern Munich are experiencing a worrying slump in form and will be challenged to improve their performances significantly if they want to progress into the Champions League semi-finals. Robert Lewandowski’s return promises plenty of excitements and goals should definitely be on the cards here. Verdict: Both teams to score & Real Madrid to win Bayern, be afraid... Be very afraid ![]() |
menstrualpad:LMAO! And you keep coming back! Like your attention can buy a N50 sausage roll ![]() |
