he has evidence now, I mean plenty of it. Even though he's not been given employment letter what about his salary account? If he's not working for them will they be paying him monthly? The agreement can be verbal and not necessarily written. He should go to office of public defender
Lol... It own't fly, believe. Where is the 'document' binding them in the first place. Was there initial agreement that he could be fired unjustly? Was he given conditions that, if flouted, would cost him his job? If yes, where was it stated? In the place of verbal agreement, who were there as witnesses? The Chinese guys or whoever could have their lawyer claim he was due to resign on that day and should he counter it, what is his evidence to counter the claim? Was he required to work on holidays ab initio? There is a reason most people would want everything in writing, documented and archived. He does not have any proof that he is being treated unjustly. It's a lost cause.

He has evidence, yes. But what was the initial agreement, cum condition between himself and the company?

I think most times new employees are just happy to get a new job that they do not bother insist on getter a letter of employment out of fear that they will annoy their new employers undecided
That's just the problem. A good company, however, would readily give letter of employment just to notify their employees of the 'terms and conditions', perks, benefits, and other necessary things they feel employees should know. Indians, Chinese and other crazy Asian folks working here can be cruel that they would passively deny you legal rights by not providing a letter which could be used against them in the nearest future.

De Rica is very much available.

You can get them from big shopping malls.
Not in Enugu here... I've searched Shoprite and Roban Stores, nothing. The last time I was in PH, which was about a month ago, I had to stop at Park N Shop to get some things and also checked. Found nothing. I know it is available in Lagos though. I even used it about a year back.

I agree wit u.oral form of employment was done but come to think of it,who does dat in d century? Dat firm should be shut down
That's one mistake some job seekers make. They revel and delight at their new job that they forget certain documentations between them and the company they're employed to serve. I might love the company I work with, but I'd never rule the possibility of a legal path in the nearest future. One should always go the extra mile to request for this. If the company refuses in the end, that should serve as a pointer before anything else.

That you mentioned Gino means you don't know good tomatoes. Gino is a horrible brand, which specializes in making dark and horrible looking paste. Wish the days of De Rica could be rolled back.

Most coys give out employment letters to their contract staff and they are often strict and rigid with the conditions. Unfortunately, your colleague can't do much as he has no evidence of being employed by the company in question, let alone cheated.

I had this feeling the year I hit 32. It was a deep soul searching for me. In my compound I was seen as a big man. My landlady will clap for me. But my fellow tenants had their wife and children yet don't have the whole world.

I think Lagos life plays a role in this thing.
You'll be forming corporate life yet the years are rolling by. Some of your mates at home are married with kids, They buy land for 200k, build their house. While you will be forming hustle and insulting ladies.

The artisans you invite to work for you have their wife and children in school.

It's an evil thing. My dad told me this thing when I was moving to Lagos years back.

Thank God I'm free indeed.
Lagos life can be horrible for a bachelor. One minute, you think you're doing just fine, forgetting that the clock is ticking, the next minute, you realize you're way behind when it comes to critical life choices as your peers in other states are comfortable with the little they have.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Requirements For A Job In A Tel'com. Company? by Sanchez01(m): 8:46am On Jan 03, 2017
As far as it is Telecommunications, most of them avoid direct recruitment these days. With that being established, your best bet is through an outsourcing firm, which often times than not, does not require any special or additional certifications. Going through an outsourcing firm would also mean that you might not get the liberty to 'roam' as expected.

Regardless, I'd personally recommend you go for PSE as there are more demands for site engineers than ever. Just like mjizzle stated, you have to start with whatever you see at this point. You could capitalize on your certifications when the time is ripe.

My only concern is if it's parts are readily available in Nigeria. I'd av ordered it bt Hmmm...

Tho I don't pray for its part to av wahala bt one should b prepared for the unexpected
You should have read reviews on various sites before going ahead to order. You just successfully initiated a black market transaction.

If God made us from dirt, why is there still dirt?
If you're an Atheist, then it means you're no different from the one who owns the forum; blind, myopic, short sighted and not close to being called a deep thinker. The Bible didn't say God used all the dirts in this world to form man. Rather, man was formed from dust and from there shall he return. That I make candles from wax does not mean that wax would seize to exist in the world, no. Rather, question your belief and the theory of evolution you have come to adopt. If man came from monkeys, how come there are still monkeys all over the world and how come these monkeys have not yet evolved into humans. Since you guys are logical in approach, I expect you to provide a logical answer. smiley

The site automatically makes your answer wrong
The site is the handiwork of (an) atheist(s), hence the name, 'ex-christians'. It attempts to ridicule the Bible by giving you a single question with different accounts from the synoptic Gospels. Their point is to tell you about the 'contradictions' of the Bible itself, yet they tell you the Bible is just fairy tales.

One story with two different accounts and a single conclusion or message is not a fairy tale, it goes on to prove that it is indeed real (the account) but the difference here is the viewpoint of those who wrote it.

Seun, you and your crew can hit at Christians with your best shot, but the gospel will continue to be preached.I don't see wind but I know it's there. There's evidence when it blows and beyond every reasonable doubt, I can't question it's existence.I don't see heat but I know when it's hot coz I feel it.So it's the same with God.I may not see Him but I know He's there.Only the fools will continue to say that there's no God.But one fact is undeniable, that every human being deals with something beyond them. They may have questions that they can't find answers to and they long for strength bigger than their own. What then do you do?It's a shame to believe that you evolved from monkeys.
Just ask him a plain, simple question; if he evolved from monkeys, how come there are still monkeys and why have they not all evolved?

Tells us a lot

They think misinforming the public will make people atheists

It shows how untrustworthy and very deceitful these atheists are

Atheists are very dangerous people
I think the pattern is almost the same for all of them; shame is way absent. The other day, Mark Zuckerberg denounced being an atheist. On seeing that he mentioned that he believes in religion, they shamelessly opened threads to insist that he remains an atheist as his response was vague.

Maybe it's our version of atheism that is worrisome, I can't remember meeting or reading about an atheist who turned the way he is as a result of more and more questions, rather, the type we have here, which is a product of confusion, restlessness and internal conflict. It does explain while they revel and parade themselves on anything pertaining to Christ. They strive to be recognized. The case of the one who lied about being a student pastor-turned atheist readily comes to mind.

My fellow nairalanders, don't mind Madam Uzuz, she is not being truthful. Infact, she is ritualist. The guy she called her brother is her boyfriend. Autos › Re: Cityhood -Not for me.? by Sanchez01(m): 11:28pm On Dec 30, 2016
I have been following this thread silently up until now that uzuz deemed it fit to give her account. CityHood is indeed a legend in the act. Where he gets these cartons from beats my imagination. Every account so far have a similar pattern. He might be restricted from Nairaland after now but he doesn't show signs on stopping as his cartons are presently littering some online market stores. I was close to being burnt as I recommended a colleague, whom I asked to suspend discussions with him following the many revelations.

Personally, I'd recommend that you (uzuz) write the EFCC, have them reach EFCC Kaduna to pick him up. He won't stop save he is in chains. He is a serial cheat.

In your own case, op, I honestly and sincerely don't see any scam? I've bought a tokunbo car before and within days, I changed the power steering pump and a few shocks.

Rivers Election: I was in Rivers on Wednesday, just some few days to the recent re-run. It was indeed a sight to behold as anti-terrorism squad teams journeyed from Enugu down to Portharcourt. The air in Rivers clearly spelt tension. All in all, both parties rigged but the APC obviously outrigged the PDP as Amaechi and his boys made their presence known.

Ronaldo wins ballon d'or: CR7 sure would have something to write about 2016 as he beats Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezman to the most coveted individual trophy. With the recent addition, he has edged closer to Messi and just a single trophy separate them.

MMM freezes: Okay, so I won’t say much here so as not to be stoned by those affected. The Ponzi scheme has however confirmed that they would be back on the 14th of January, 2016, ‘stronger’. The media has not assisted victims of the scheme so far since it announced that it is on ghost mode, pause mode. January 14 is closer than ever and would be a major highlight in 2017.

Trump wins Electoral College vote, officially becomes President: Finally, Trump won the Electoral College vote, to officially become the 45th President of the United State. I’m sure this just about settled TB Joshua once and for all.

Ibori released from Prison: Ex Delta State Governor and convicted criminal, James Onanefe Ibori, is presently a free man. His recent release might interest the EFCC whose social media handler has been alive more than ever, all thanks to whoever is managing the account. Ibori’s case is obviously a movie and a highlight to look out for in 2017.

Headies disqualifies Tekno: The young musician was the first to throw shades after it was announced that the singer is among this year’s Next Rated contenders. Obviously unaware of the idea behind the Next Rated, Tekno took to social media to announce that he was bigger than the category. Long story short, he was schooled before being disqualified. An obviously pained Tekno registered his displeasure at the move while performing at the Rhythm Unplugged with the chant ‘dem be God?’

Global shock – U.S. Elections: The world was left in total shock after Trump thumped Hillary Clinton to win the US Presidential election. Hillary bagged four states at the initial stages of the election but the tide turned in so fast that the rejoicing camp of Hillary was put on hold. Obama had even come out to show solidarity, a subtle, non-vocal way of congratulating Hillary before the elections ended.

TB Joshua great miss: Pastor TB Joshua had made a logical prediction of the eventual winner and what would follow afterwards. His prediction, he claimed, was given him to him by God and he saw the new president who happens to be a woman. According to him, she would face some stiff oppositions as the congress would kick against her bills. In the video, TB Joshua was jeered by many of his followers while reading from a piece of paper. However, gears changed when Trump shocked the world. TB Joshua took down the Facebook post wherein he gave the same prediction as the ne in the video. Local news agencies and the international media soon forgot Trump and the Synagogue pastor graced the spotlight. Obviously pressured, the pastor was forced to restore the post with the excuse that his prediction was right afterall as Hillary won (Electoral College Vote). His followers staunchly defended the pastor, stressing that the prophecy was ‘technically right’. iWeak. undecided

Seun Egbegbe the new iPhone merchant: Film maker and former husband of popular actress Toyin Aimaku, was ushered to the spotlight for being an unofficial iPhone merchant. The film maker was apprehended while trying to make away with nine (9) iPhone 7. Although he claimed he was going to get the money to pay for the phones from his car before he was called a thief, he was saved by security operatives who rescued him from an irate mob. I think his case is spiritual though.

Ondo Gubernatorial Election: One of the best election under PMB so far. The Ondo election raised so many dusts initially but settled peacefully as the PDP candidate, alongside the AD candidate kept mum.
