You are right. They denied the first 5 people before me. We were all tensed when we saw that. The Lord is my strength now. I don’t know how we will get a good immigration lawyer

My visa was denied today. I really don’t know why. But before the co called my name, he was going through my documents, and then printed the refusal paper and kept on his table before he called me. He just asked me who petitioned for me, where does he work, has he been married before, have I been married before? He then asked if he has come back to Nigeria since the last time he visited.( my fiancé is not a Nigerian. He came to Nigeria once for the first time to see me, and he stayed for 8 days. ) I told him I went to his country when his mum passed. And I stayed with them for 2 weeks. He then ask what I do for a living. And asked me what kind of work I’ll like to do in America. I told him my main aim of going is to get married. He asked if I don’t want to do any work when I get there. I told him I want to get married. Asked me how I met my fiancé, and then he looked at my past application in 2013 and asked who’s Ojo? I told he was my ex he asked if I was married to him, I said no, but we lived together. I’ve never been married. Asked when I met my fiancé and when he came to Nigeria. Didn’t ask for any evidence. And then issued me the letter he printed out earlier on.
So sorry about this dear.
Pls get intouch with your ex asap as regards what he filled in your previous application.
That way, you can figure out the next step to take with the immigration lawyer you want to get.
All the best dear.

Pls if one wants a letter of introduction from his place of work here in Nigeria, just in case, should the letter be addressed to

US Embassy Nigeria OR

US Consulate General Lagos, Nigeria
Is this also a requirement for the K1 application interview?

@sandraigho attestation of birth certificate.
To get that you need
1: 2 passport photos
2: photocopy of means of identification(intl passport drivers license and co)
3: An avidavit of age declaration sworn on your behalf by your Mother, Father, sister, brother uncle etc but the person must be older than you (high court) their photo attached to it
When all these are ready just take them to the National Population commission office(heard one is in surulere) the amount it will cost am yet to confirm the exact amount lld get back on price tomorrow..
After the attestation of birth certificate is issued it ll still need to be authenticated by ministry of foreign affairs Abuja(especially if its for immi purpose)my question now is cant it be authenticate in Lagos ?will one have to travel to abuja just to authenticate it or authenticating is not applicable to this type of visa?thank you
Thanks so much for this helpful info as i just got my NOA2 approval now....I'm super excited & all tnx to God

Okay, one more question please. In my case, I have applied several times to the US and I never stated it in all my applications that I was married. Now if she fill this info in the K-1 application, and during the Interview, the VO request to see the marriage certificate, and notices that I have been married before I started applying for the study visa in the past and never stated it, do you think it can cause a problem for me?

Thank you very much.
It will raise an eyebrow on the side of the VO so stick to what you've previously been filling in the form

Meanwhile @Sandraigho i'm really looking forward to hearing the goodnews of your NOA2 approval this week
Thanks bro

Just get occupied with other things so you don't get too anxious....Your NOA2 will be here before you know

I am k1 beneficiary, petition approved and NVC got me a case number at the embassy. When can I secure appointment after I got notification from NVC.

My second question is that I overstayed my b1 b2 visa for 2 weeks and got deported 9years ago. Don't know if I have better chance at this k1 visa appointment.
Sincerely i don't know the implication of that deportation you had for over staying your B1/B2 visa.
However, i don't think it should be used as a barrier to deny your application if you can convince the USCIS enough that your K1 procedure is real without doubt.
Lets wait to hear other people's opinion here

I honestly feel the greatest hurdle is the USCIS stage and I almost visited USCIS case status web everyday just for an update but the day I saw “My case was approved” Mehn, my excitement was comparable to none on that day.

So chill, you’d laugh best pretty soon.

By the way, my petition approval was approximately six months. It took that long cos I also had RFE.

Best wishes.
Thanks so much...God bless you

Finally we got an RFE for not ticking a box in part 3 of the I-129F form.
I feel relieved finally hearing from them and my fiance responded to it immediately.
Hopefully we'll get the NOA2 by next week.
At this point, I'm more relaxed as i just got back from a 3weeks trip to see my fiance....was almost tempted not to return but I'm glad i did....good to migrate appropriately without abusing my B1/B2 visit visa.

Good morning everyone
Pls want is going on in USA embassy
I have just been denied renewal of my b1 b2 visa
I have been to USA four times

1st I accompanied my daughter to school I spent only 1week

2nd visit is when my daughter transfer from one university to another. I was there to visit her at the University. Stay for 2week

3rd time I went for her graduation. Stay for 3weeks

4th time I accompanied my second daughter to different school I spent 1month which I indicated when applying.
I spent extra 5days due to flood in Houston because all flight was cancell as all airport were closed because of flood . I don't think this is my fault. It is a natural disasters that no one can control.

All these visit was on different two years visa. i always use all my 2years visa once.

My last visit was 2017
My daughter graduation is next year may. I apply now because my Visa as expired since last year December. So I don't want it to overdue for renewal.

I don't know how my daughter will feel if she heard I won't attend her graduation. She is my last baby. I am 55. This is a very sad day for me. Graduation is a glorious day for any parent.
OMG please what can I do now
What is my offence
I am business woman
My acct is boyant enough and I am my daughter sponsor
Please help me, what can I do

He ask me my occupation
If I have traveled before
Why I traveled in 2017
Why I want to travel now

All this question was answered correctly.
He lied that I stayed for 2month last time. I told him I never stay for 2month. I never did.

What is their problem. Please can I get any help. It will be an evaladting sorrow for me for not attending my daughter graduation while I am still alive. She is the last baby. I attended others.
OMG I can't break this news for her. GOD pls help me. I am a single mother. I don't want to miss this glorious day.
What can I do.
I can imagine how you feel right now ma'am.
It's really sad the V.O wasn't with a good listening ears this morning. However, I'll advise you reapply immediately as the graduation is still in May so you can still make it down there.
All the best

See below. You have the answer to the question.
Thanks but i wasn't referring to the issue of having to do an X-ray.
TravelRe: USA Fiancee (K1) Visa Thread by sandraigho: 1:06pm On Oct 31, 2019
LegitBachelor:
The straight answer to your question will be no. However X-Ray is mandatory for all applicants thus if you are concerned about the rays affecting your baby then you might have to wait till after delivery before you can do the X-Ray and continue with your application process. However I'm told that you get to wear a shield to protect the baby from any rays during the X-Ray procedure. The choice is up to you.
Exactly...i was told it doesn't affect the baby in anyway as you'll be given a shied to protect your belly so you should be fine.
However, I'll like to ask how pregnancy can affect one's K1 application either positively or negatively
