N pumpin: . So if hin name comot, make hin just sit down 4 house abi
I haven't said that man. God has the final say but think of it for a minute. The military's training schedule is very rigorous and life threatening for the very medically fit talk more of those who are a little less fit. I think their refusal to admit candidates that have just undergone surgery is strictly for the candidate's own good.

chukwuinya: what about that done for the past ten years
Like I said bro. He was asked to walk stack naked through what seemed like an X-Ray machine. After examining the stitches on his stomach, he was advised to try again in 3 or 4 years time when the stitches would have completely healed. He had the surgery a year and half prior to attending that medical check up. So, that in addition to the time he was advised to check back would make 4 years altogether. Going by this, I think 10 years is more than enough time for a wound to heal, hence, I guess you are on the clear. Good luck!

DaYoungOfficer: Guy in this case there is nufin like "there is no harm in trying"...it's military rule world over, as long as you are entering army, navy, or airforce, there will be no surgical cut on your tommy or any thing as par major operation from your chest down to your tommy. Well, if you doubt me you can carry out a research to ascertain if it's true or not.
I confirm this to be 100% valid. It is common knowledge amongst the military community. Moreover, my distant relation was screened out in the tradesmen category for this same reason. But he was asked to return after about 3 or 4 years from the date of the surgery to give it ample time to heal.

In all honesty, I strongly recommend you shouldn't bother further expending your resources on this venture as this may have brought it to a temporary abrupt end. Sorry bro!

Commodore O.A Oloshi. A tiv man from division 419, Nigerian Navy, Abuja. grin

I was actually disappointed when I checked those names and discovered a top military organization like the NN would put up our details to the full glare of the public. Though they've now restricted access to it.

For those crooks to have sent u recharge card is indicative of the level of desperation involved. Anyways, it seems they've been calling only females as they know that BOYS ARE NOT SMILING angry. We'll just act interested & burn their airtime.

fsb: The exam wasn't too bad although the level of cooperation defeated the purpose of a screening examination in an ideal world. While the general conduct was less than ideal, candidates were treated well except for those who came late that were asked to double up plus no one had to sit on the floor or in the sun.

It's all in God's hands now...
This wasn't the case for those of us that wrote at Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja. We were asked to sit on the bare ground just a few feet away from poop that candidates were obliviously treading on in a scramble to hear their names that was being read out by two seniors officers (1500 names were being read out as at 9:30/10:00 am).

When the rain started, they carried on calling the names under umbrellas while we were drenched to the point that we couldn't stand it anymore that we all ran for cover. Many of us were eventually shivering while waiting in the exam halls for the exam scripts.

We weren't even allowed to cooperate cos we were well spaced out as they made sure that only 30 candidates wrote in any class.

Anyways, like you said, it's all in God's hands now. smiley

It's not late anyway, U can try next year or apply to NAF, they've just started accepting applications.

No matter how much we think we know about these things, I don't think any civilian knows better than our defense chiefs who have several years of experience and have been on countless training programs within and outside the country.

I'm sure they know about these latest hardware and their capabilities cos that's pretty much what they've been doing for donkey years innit? Personally tho, I think the problem lies with the cost of these arms, technical know-how, maintenance amongst other factors. Y'all should watch "COMBAT COUNTDOWN" or "FUTURE WEAPONS" on National Geographic Channel & see if Nigeria will not go broke buying any of those weapons featured. The Euro fighter Typhoon for instance is about GBP125 Million. M1 Abrams Tank is about US$8.58 Million. AH-64 Apache Gunship = US$20 Million. F-117 Nighthawk = US$42.6 Million. Now, how much is the 2013 budget again? huh huh sad

I seriously doubt that our Navy can effectively maintain the USS Nimitz CVN-68 aircraft carrier (Unit Price = US$4.5 Billion and runs on nuclear energy) if it was to be given to them now.

Quick question tho; What is the difference in job specification between the Nigerian police and Civil defense? huh
TravelRe: Nigerians And Fake Accent by sandysprax(m):
I have a feeling all these people saying that the white man don't understand them when they talk have very heavy Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa accent cos like I said before, while I was studying in UK, I never had communication difficulties with the brits whatsoever and I was born and bred in Nigeria.
TravelRe: Nigerians And Fake Accent by sandysprax(m): 9:39pm On Jun 29, 2013
Does the term "Nigerian accent" apply to only Nigerians who grew up speaking their native languages hence have very thick Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa accent cos if that is the case, there is no way a white man can understand a word of what you are saying to them. I grew up speaking English in Abuja before going to study in London and I never had problems communicating with the brits (Except for when I went to Liverpool). The big question should therefore be, What exactly is "Nigerian accent"? Cos I think this does not apply to this generation of kids born in cities like Abuja, Lagos & PHC who grow up speaking English.

For the records, My uncle has been in the UK since 1968 and he still dishes out Igbo proverbs that is only obtainable from the remotest part of my village. He hasn't picked up any british accents whatsoever.

Please if there is anyone who has successful acquired the pin and his bank account is still in tact apart from the withdrawals made for the pin should please identify. I'm really petrified of keying in my debit card pin into that payment portal although there's nothing about it to suggesst that its not authentic.
