Pls whoever is got more detailed pixs should post it.I'm interested in how this project eventually turns out.I'm an alumni of the Uni and those days at Owerri wasn't easy at all. From having to pay very much for hostel accommodation compared to what our FUTO, NEKEDE and ALVAN counterparts where paying at the time to insecurity at the hostels.

Had_one: MR. MAN LOOK, SIMPLY BECOUSE YOU LIVE ON OR BELOW A DOLLAR PER DAY DOES NOT GENERALISE TO EVERYBODY. THEREFORE, CARRY YOUR WAHALA GO SUFFER.
The typical talk of a motor park tout.So because u or ur father is rich, the price of things should now sky-rocket uncontrollable without people challenging them? So service providers should now charge whatever they like because ur father is rich? I understand from ur comment, that either u or ur father must be stinking of wealth, but in ur infinite selfishness & stupidity, pls remember that there are also people who N10 means a lot to, especially when it compounds at the end of the year where u would have ended up paying N1000 or more on sms notification.

What we think here won't bring it down to N3 like u proposed. U need to make ur voice heard by the management.I dont like the idea of charging 10Bucks personally, but its optional isn't it? u could opt out if u dont like their charges or go tell em how u feel.Cheerz

muchbeauty: 9ce video but doesn't suit the song, dbanj needs to b able to understand that if he wants to make it big, he needs someone to advice him on matters. personally i think the video looks empty without donjazzy.
I dont see anything remotely wrong with the video personally, i think y'all are just so used to seeing Don Jazzy in all his videos, perhaps that why he's absence is now seeming weird to everyone.Think about most of their previous videos for a minute, Is this video not better in quality and otherwise than those other ones, yet there wasn't much hype about them..I think y'all will adapt to not seeing Don Jazzy in his subsequent videos later.

The one problem i have with the video, however, is the involvement of the statue depicting that of the blessed virgin mary.Has he lost it to have allowed that?

When u're coming into wuse frm kubwa express if u knw the place called 'after corner' where there's currently road construction frm d flyover frm mpape, yes that whole area down is Maitama extension. There's a redeemed church there, that is, opp Ministers hill. Frm after corner down to Nicon Junction, dt whole area has always been called Maitama extension. I think dt's d area the Minister renamed and not Maitama district itself. Phew
In our bid to castigate, we won't settle down and read stuff, everyone is jst looking for another opportunity to insult Goodluck. Well, Goodluck with that.
Even if its his backyard, what gives him the powers to rename geographical locations just like that? I'll rather we say; Goodluck to ur own ignorance of ur fundamental human rights.

I guess the revenue from the subsidy removal is beginning to roll in, Fellow Nigerians, instead of complaining on here, let us open a thread to discuss the various options available to us as regards making our voices heard/stopping this maltreatment by the govt.

Maitama that we have known since 1973 or so when Abuja came into being. Shouldn't there be a due process that has to be followed before taking such decisions. This is one thing El Rufai would not have done. These people in govt are just all bunch of ignorant illiterates. If this happened in UK or anywhere else, he would have been challenged, and there would have been calls for his resignation, **smh**

As if the action Sanusi took on his own is not even enough.Everyone just does what they wish.

Its high time the youths stood up against these illiterates really.

Digriz and Sandysprax, I do know some sisters can be very irritating and disrespectful I've said it previously and I do know guys don't like this, but you as men shloud know your physical force and should know how to handle your partner

My mom used to talk when she was upset and talk, talk talk but my father has always known how to handle her, but shouting his mouth and go out, then when my mother calm down he used to come back to communicate and point out the fact that there's no need to shout and talk to much cause he would'nt exchange while she shout and believe me she improves herself ! this is what I call self control and maturity
My sister, this my gf will not even let u walk out of the house. She will just block the door and once u slap her, she will go and get a knife and starts to say "u must kill me today".I have literally had to escape/run away from the house severally to avoid her.If she was like ur mom that will just shout, it will even be better. My gf will jack u and shake u when u are silent to her.Trying to make u react.U complicate things by telling her it's over. It's just pathetic

Anywayz, am planning to relocate and not telling her my new address

Then it starts from that, you can warn with your silence you know
My gf dosent understand silence. Each time she is yelling and i just ignore her and watch tv, she will just rudely turn off the tv. If i still keep mute, she will come involve me by jacking me and starts saying "am i not talking to u?" and she just starts to shake me vigorously. It's difficult not slapping her lights out at that point u know, it just makes me go red.

I was a gentleman until my gf slapped the hell outta me first and messed me up by giving me sleepless nights. These guyz that are talking otherwise have not met girls that are bitchy. They can really make a man's life miserable, there is nothing more miserable as having a nagging and bitchy gf/wife. I am not an advocate of wife/gf battery but one thing is for sure, having a bad wife/gf can way a man down.I know cos I've been there and am still there.

Mrs Chima and co, should i still remain a gentleman and let the slapping continue?

Nawa oo .Everybody is just crying here.Yet no report of students droping out because of fees or people sleeping on the streets because of colds.

How do u expect anyone to tell u how they are suffering on here? Boiz are sweeping the streetz to survive. Me personally get help from my girl friend who is already established here + the support from my parents back home. Life is hard here, just like most of us in the UK have unanimously agreed.Except ur father is a politician in naija, that is rolling out the notes for u.

I was born in the UK. Parents are Nigerian.

I would say it is very TOUGH to get a job here in England due to the economic crisis. Inflation is increasing and jobs are decreasing so it is very hard to survive here. You'd end up applying to 20-50 jobs a day with no result, lucky enough to even get an interview  angry

Accommodation isn't cheap. Some starting from £250 per week (N62,425 a week) which isn't righteous for Nigerians. Looks like a mission to get that money right?

To those who are travelling to this country looking for work and education I'd advise you to come prepared, have a plan and survive!
So on point.I pay £375/month(ninety something thousand naira) on house rent without any job.Coming to UK to study is a suicide mission, there are no jobs as i have been applying since the past 9 months without success.Fellow Nigerians, pls dont come here based on the pictures u see on BBC & CNN.Things are not always as they seem.A word is enough for the wise

One huge mistake i made when i came here was to spend pounds with the Naira mindset.I was practically seeing £80 clothes as being cheap cos i was thinking Naira.

I forgot to mention money i pay on bus pass/month  cry  cry

Its a pity some fellow Nigerians are supporting this move by govt. True, there are redundant civil servants, but how much is the govt even paying them sef compared to how much they are wasting on frivolities. A secretary earns a meagre 21k or even less. It is only in Nigeria that the president has people holding every envelope they give him at every function as well as adjust seats for him to sit down etc. The govt should really learn to lead by example. They better not mess with my father's job cos i will kneel before God and present the names of every goddamn person involved in this. I will so take it personal.

I am happy you used the word ''some'' because more often than not, we can hardly control ''what happens''. however, while some are well equipped and fortified for the future, others are not. imagine bringing a child from the slums of Ajegunle grammar school to compete against one from academic cosiness of Jesuit Loyala college. grin grin grin grin grin, sounds more like putting the cat among the pigeons, but we see these almost everyday when platforms like these [WAEC, Universities, law school, e.t.c] are presented for students to flex academic muscles. it's can be likened to sending some people to the battle field well equipped with armours, shields, swords, heavy artileries, e.t.c while leaving another sect to fight with bare hands. there is [and will always be particularly in Nigeria] a yawning chasm in standards across colleges and academic institutions especially at the formative and crucial stages of academic life [primary and secondary schools]

I agree with you to a large extent on your theory of time and chance afterall, even the bible states it [Ecclesiastes 9:11]. in essence, it goes beyond having all the resources one can possibly crave for and putting them into judicious use with great sense of devotion and dedication.

I'm not surprised at all. I constantly get this sort of conviction that it goes beyond attending flamboyant schools. it lies in the individual. while some are willing and ready to make something out of NOTHING, others are busy making nothing out of EVERYTHING. I saw this happen in Medical school time and time again - that i constantly raise these questions as i saw students from highly extolled schools ''womble'' & ''fomble'' while those from ramshackle schools trounced them HEAVILY!

I'm also currently in the UK & I see this feat being repeated severally from Nigerian students.

She has made me proud.Greatest Imo Stars!!! I think the school one goes has nothing to do with what they are capable of actually, being smart is inborn. If given the right environment/facilities, Nigerian students will excel no matter where they are.I know a girl from the so called covenant who studied ICT that doesn't even know what programming is and dudes from LASU and Bingham university, Nasarawa here in london that are exceptional with programming. That one attended a state university is not by chance.I had course mates back then who ran away from Madonna University to IMSU cos Madonna wasn't what they expected.

N.B Even though the state govt/ASUU(IMSU Chapter) is about to reduce the school's prestige with all these incessant strikes.

This appeal is just a game plan by his lawyer to make money. The defense attorney and the prosecutor all dine together. [b]For all those insulting this man, curses and evil will reign supreme in their lives and in the lives of their entire family in the name of the creator of the universe and the almighty God in Jesus name Amen.
Sgt Badang is a member of the special police anti-bomb unit and with the confidence he exhibited it is obvious he has been detonating bombs before this unfortunate incident. Nigerian Police are the only ones in the world that diffuse IED's with their bare hands(the most dangerous act on earth) despite their inadequacies but, they still do it just to protect their fellow countrymen and women. For all the fooolish peeps out here, you will notice pics of policemen detonating bombs with just hand gloves in Kano after boko haram kano attacks(NPF diffused more than 1000 bombs in kano alone without any special kit).
That bomb was detonated by someone watching from the crowd with either a Gsm phone or a bomb detonating device.

I do not have regards for the Nigerian police before, but with the actions of this eternal hero, I will forever be proud of the Nigerian Police. No matter their deficiencies they still keep the country protected. Why are Nairalanders so evil, so wicked, so heartlessly foolish. He died for others to live and paid the supreme sacrifice.

SERGENT SUNDAY BADANG
YOU DIED FOR NIGERIA !
YOU DIED FOR PEACE!
YOU DIED FOR HUMANITY!
YOUR DEATH IS A VICTORY OVER bokoharam!
