If the email I’m using for outbound is strong enough and not spam friendly, why do I have to warm it when the custom email is connected to it? Or you only do that when it’s connected to a new gmail? Asking cause I’ve seen too many people complain about mails from custom email landing in spam.

You don't really have to warm the custom mail but the mail attached to it because you are forwarding the gmail address to the custom mail.

If the email address you are using is not spam friendly then there is no need for warm up.

I don't know for them but from the data I'm getting my mails have over 98% inbox deliverability as long as that data is real. I think it is.

Earlier in the year I was using Google's Gsuite professional mail and I do experience mails going to spam. In fact, a lot of spam.

I didn't warm it though or even tried (or know if it's possible) and I think that could be the reason for the spam. Maybe that's the sort of custom mails they are complaining about.

Here is a simple trick for Investors interested in getting a custom mail at low cost so that you can attach it to your Email Signature


1. Register a domain name that matches with the company name you use for your outbound
e.g DomainsJunction.com if you don't have one previously


2. Go to the Registrar where the domain name is registered and locate the Email Forwarding menu.

3. Enable email forwarding and input the Gmail address you want any email address that's sent to the custom mail to be forwarded to

E.g if a mail is sent to sales@domainsjunction.com, it will be forwarded to the Gmail address domainsjunctionofficial@gmail.com

If you intend you send and receive with the custom mail, then you have to pay the monthly fee between ($3-$9) depending on the email service provider.

I shared a link some days back. It's on the link. It's a link to a page on this same thread. You simply have to use a domain name and normal google emails to create customised mails.

I did it for over a year and the result with Gmail was obviously better.

It is easier to improve deliverability on a Normal Gmail address than a custom one which involves setting up complex stuffs DKIM, SPF and DMARC.

Also, I don't send more than 50 email per account.

So, I just stick to using Gmail

You did for how long? Long term deliverability to inbox adds to the domain reputation and that's what mail warm up tries to achieve.

Instead of rushing the mail warmup or rushing to increase the numbers, do it for at least two months and when you are done, don't start sending 400 mails immediately.

Send 100 or 200 for a start and also monitor where they land using gmass dot co.
