PoliticsRe: ACN And CPC Have Failed To Reach An Agreement by Sarahluv(f): 8:47am On Apr 14, 2011
Good stuff. Such an alliance would be very difficult to work out. Nigerians would be the ultimate losers eventually when they start fighting for the spoils of their conquest. Thank God. Goodluck is still my choice right now.

Great to see our security agents are on top of their jobs. All riggers must be caught.___, okay, most riggers. I think our reporters should follow this case rabidly until they are prosecuted, and the case is heard and determined.

Yup. Ngige is the winner.

Foreign AffairsRe: Breaking News: Gbagbo Arrested. by Sarahluv(f): 10:16am On Apr 12, 2011
My Ivorian friend is so glad that Gbagbo is gone. Now how will Ouattara absolve his troops of the war crimes accusation?
PoliticsRe: Dapolam Accepts Defeat, speaks to Nairalanders by Sarahluv(f): 10:06am On Apr 12, 2011
It's good to know that Oyo State has shown it's dissatisfaction with PDP with their votes. Even if there is no clear-cut control of the National assembly slots by any party, the previous domination of PDP has been whittled down.

PoliticsRe: Cpc Lost Nass, But Presidential May Be Closer by Sarahluv(f): 9:35am On Apr 12, 2011
Goodluck looks set to win comfortably. He is 100% sure of three geo-political zones out of six. He also has a fighting chance in one more geopolitical zone. Buhari is sure of one zone with a fighting chance in two. Ribadu has a fighting chance in one. Go figure!!
PoliticsRe: Anambra central senatorial Election: Dora Akunyili (APGA) vs Chris Ngige of ACN by Sarahluv(f): 9:07am On Apr 12, 2011
dondavids:
Ngige is a good man, but he made a big mistake when he decided to join a yoruba party, knowing fully well that the cunning and deceitful attitude of
the yorubas especially Awolowo is the main reason why Igbo's lost the civil war in 1970 and why the Igbos are still suffering today in a country that they helped to gain independence from Britain. I don't want to see Tinubu boast about conquering Igboland. Ngige should leave ACN now, if he wants to win future elections in Anambra State.
How many senatorial seats did Apga or PPA win in the south west. This will show you that the average yoruba man hates every Igbo man. The truth is this, despite my strong support for GEJ, I will honestly state that I will prefer to do business any day with an Hausa man than a Yoruba man, cos yorubas are the most dishonest people on the face of planet earth.

Tinubu is going about decieving people that If they vote ACN, their state will be developed as Lagos was developed by Fashola, but was it not the same Tinubu that almost chased Fashola out ACN not too long ago. The truth is that I don't trust ACN as a party, a good man like Ngige should not have joined a party of Rascals like ACN. I just pity all these people that voted ACN simply because of Fashola's personal achievements in Lagos state, in 4 years time, they really begin to understand why GEJ called ACN leaders (minus Fashola) Rascals.

Fashola is a good man, a progressive and an achiever and people will follow him where ever he goes, and I assure you that If he comes out for president in 2019 under a new party, people will still vote for him. ACN is not Fashola, cos Fashola is much better than every other ACN politican put together. Ngige should leave ACN before he further degraces Igboland.
Don David, you got it wrong. Yorubas are not the cause of the Ibos problems. Most Ibos I'm sure, do not subscribe to your assertion. On another level, I think ACN is a party which was started by people from all over Nigeria, including Atiku, Audu Ogbe, Tinubu. It's current presidential candidate is a hausa man. The party, like others is battling for the soul of the Nation, which means making inroads to all parts of Nigeria. How could you label it a Yoruba party. Ngige joined a party he believes in. If you do not believe in their manifesto, don't vote for them, but if you choose to say because ACN has delivered the southwest first before others, it is now a Yoruba party, and since you hate Yorubas, Ngige has made a mistake, then you have judged the man harshly and wrongly.
Let's be objective in all we do, people.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's First Legal Female Senator Without Court Issues. . . Oluremi Tinubu by Sarahluv(f): 7:35pm On Apr 11, 2011
Congrats Remi. The topic is wrong and misleading. There have been many "legal female senators without court issues" in Nigeria. Remi Tinubu is one beautiful lady.

PoliticsRe: Cpc Lost Nass, But Presidential May Be Closer by Sarahluv(f): 7:19pm On Apr 11, 2011
PDP looks more likely to win. They will surely take the SS and the SE, get more than 30% of votes in the SW, win NC and most of NE. NW is the only area PDP will not make appreciable progress in the North
PoliticsRe: Ngige Won, Says Inec Returning Officer. Peter Obi Rigged It! by Sarahluv(f): 6:58pm On Apr 11, 2011
How come rigging is still attractive, even with the measures put in place? A rerun will show us who the real winner is.
That said, I do not believe Dora would have a hand in election rigging. Obi, maybe; Dora, , really doubt. Can't vouch for anyone though.
PoliticsRe: House Speaker Dimeji Bankole (PDP) Has Lost! by Sarahluv(f): 6:10pm On Apr 11, 2011
Gbawe:
Gbam !!!! That is why I am proud of the SW region . Once our votes were allowed to count, we did what politically sophisticated electorates do throughout the World i.e we shunned sentiments and voted out indolent and incompetent leaders.

Other regions decided to carry on with the Party that has given them and Nigeria nothing for 12 years. I hope folks will now begin to respect the political sophistication of the average Yoruba person. I thought Nigeria was on a mission together i.e voting out the PDP especially at the legislative level.

We have seen , in 12 years, our legislative arm made worthless through the fact that the PDP has an overwhelming majority who always appear to be against progressive bills. The SW played its part in the attempt to whittle down that majority so that a more representative legislative arm could emerge and deliver better for Nigeria. Alas , some folks have let us down. Well, if the elections are free and fair then we accept the choices some have made even if it is dissapointing and self-defeating. It would just be good if certain folks , for the next 4 years, don't come here to complain about PDP misrule. It was clear we cannot keep doing things the same way and expecting different results. sIt seems some still don't understand that concept.
True. Voters in the southwest have done well, considering the general pulse of the people. I also like the fact that every other region made their own decisions, be these decisions right or wrong. Now we have to live with the choices made by Nigerians.
PoliticsRe: Anambra central senatorial Election: Dora Akunyili (APGA) vs Chris Ngige of ACN by Sarahluv(f): 5:52pm On Apr 11, 2011
Nice to see that alleged cases of rigging are being nipped in the bud. The re-run must be fair. I'm seeing a lot of people talking about regional parties, and someone referred to ACN as one. I do not think that is correct, considering that they have a Northerner as their presidential candidate, are represented well in governance in the SW and SS. They are also trying to make inroads in the SE. That is a party with a plan, I must observe.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Has Shown He Can Be Trusted! So He Still Gets My Vote by Sarahluv(f): 5:23pm On Apr 11, 2011
Goodluck has indeed shown he can be trusted. Jega has done beautifully well.
The issue is now how we can institutionalize this process. We must reproduce this success in all Nigerian elections henceforth. FG owes us that; INEC owes us that; we owe ourselves that much.
PoliticsRe: National Assembly Elections, Saturday 9th April, 2011 by Sarahluv(f): 5:15pm On Apr 11, 2011
After weighing the strengths, weaknesses and antecedents of the candidates for the presidency, the National Assembly election held on Saturday has helped me make up my mind on who to vote for.

President Goodluck Jonathan, You have my vote sir.
PoliticsRe: Anambra central senatorial Election: Dora Akunyili (APGA) vs Chris Ngige of ACN by Sarahluv(f): 12:00am On Apr 11, 2011
I don't see how APGA as a party will gain appreciable political relevance when they do not have a clear cut program for Nigerians. It's sad that most people cannot name the presidential candidate for APGA within a 10 second window, or even their focus in terms of governance. That said, Dora will likely win this seat; Ngige will contest in court as usual, and we will be in for another long thing.
PoliticsRe: House Speaker Dimeji Bankole (PDP) Has Lost! by Sarahluv(f): 11:36pm On Apr 10, 2011
Dimeji Bankole is still young, and I'm sure will still serve his fatherland in another capacity in the near future. His constituency is just not feeling him or PDP right now, and that's why he needs to get out. Soon, politicians will recognize that power is fully in the hands of the people, and will then make sure they are fully accountable to those they govern.
PoliticsRe: Picture Of Governor Oshiomho In Voting Queue by Sarahluv(f): 11:09pm On Apr 10, 2011
I want to believe the Edo State house of assembly members (outgoing) are not ACN members. They have a duty to pass the budgets and perform oversight functions. How could they have missed this alleged non-performance of Oshiomole. They should also be held culpable since they have refused to use their constitutional authority as honorables who are also in the opposition.
PoliticsRe: House Speaker Dimeji Bankole (PDP) Has Lost! by Sarahluv(f): 10:24pm On Apr 10, 2011
Bankole has shown great statesmanship by acknowledging defeat. Great elections from Goodluck administration

Dora in the senate!! Good stuff. I hope she brings her share of vibrancy to the table. She is tried and tested.
