2roodi: Hi good morning, I just wanted to appreciate you for this, it really helped. My TRV has been approved!!!! The most alarming part is I didn’t write an SOP, so I panicked when people kept talking about theirs. God is Awesome. Wow!!! Congratulations! What documents did you submit? What program are you going for? Just a little insight to help us prospective applicants. Thank you. |

justwise: Contact them before making payment, tell them that you are unable to book an appointment. From their 'contact us' details it says there's a charge for both calls and email enquiries. I'm a bit confused. Is that the norm? |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by sashaa(f): 6:10pm On Mar 18, 2019 |
@justwise, kindly help. I'm unable to see the page for appointment date selection anymore. Has this been removed? Do i go ahead and make payment before knowing what dates are available? |

@justwise please the part of the application where one is asked if there's any other information one needs to add about the application but was not able to, is that for detailed information like what should be on the cover letter? |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by sashaa(f): 12:17am On Feb 23, 2019 |
justwise: It means that those two months are all booked but chances are that somebody may cancel or withdraw an application and the date will be available again. So you need to keep checking for a lucky date to popup Wow...ok. Thanks so much for the response. |

Goldenegg: Compliments of the season my people.
So this is my story.....
Applied in April Refused in June
Re-applied in June Refused in November
I was so heartbroken and devastated..... But I just held on to God's promise.
I didn't want to try again.
But the Spirit of God gave me the courage to try again.
So I applied again in November.
God finally came through for me and I got my approval this December.
Lesson : If God has said it, that settles it because He will surely do it. Don't give up. It's not over till you win!
By the way I'm a matured student o, in my forties. I left university over 20 years ago. If God can do it for me, He will also do yours!
To God be the glory! All I can say is THANK YOU JESUS CHRIST MY LORD! Wow...congrats!! Kindly share documents submitted and what finally made a difference in your application |

bigtt76: You need all these documents submitted on the day of your biometric capture Thanks |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by sashaa(f): 12:34pm On Dec 15, 2018 |
bigtt76: It's difficult to state what document(s) you need to provide because it all depends on what you filled in your application form online but here are some definite ones to carry along
1. Letter of invitation to the UK from host 2. Bank/house mortgage statement for the host 3. Your letter of employment 4. Letter from your employer showing you're going for your leave break or training (depending on your reason for visit) 5. Your bank statement or that of your sponsor in Nigeria 6. Travel itinerary (flight ticket and hotel booking if not staying with a host) 7. Any other document to prove your strong ties to your home country eg share certificates, landed property certificates, marriage certificates, child birth certificates etc 8. Any document to boost your application
Note that the more documents you present, the more questions you will be asked but if you're able to correctly answer the questions, 90%sure you will get the visa. Try and read through other people's experience here. All the best Thanks for your response. My question was actually about the process like getting my biometrics done and stuffs like that. I've been able (through this thread) to get an idea of the documents i need for my application. |

lonelydude: Maybe I should state that for the study gap years, I did the following:
I simply outlined the mm/yy of all my work experience.
However, for the gap months in between, I did some trainings, personal development & attending job career fairs with mm/yy.
I was advised by one of the VFS guys (God bless him) to account for every single month which made me delay submission by a day.
FOR JAND Police cert, I applied for it through ARCO and got it back in 10 working days I think. @bolded, which submission? Do you mean every single month you were un employed? |

thank youjustwise: @sashaa
Even if you visit heaven first before applying to the UK your visa will still be refused if you do not meet the requirements.
Travel history is an advantage yes but its not the core issue |

ori777: it get's a bit confusing for some of us when we hear things like this. You want to visit the U.K and they say visit the U.S first. You want to visit the U.S and you also hear no they wouldn't approve your visa, why not visit the U.K first. I mean what is one supposed to do?
I just want to visit a place that interests me. My ties are obviously in nigeria..family, job etc. Or how do they check or look at it? Not having family in the U.K surely means i have no ties there. Or isn't that how it's checked? |

Ok...thank you justwise: If you still have enough money after loan repayment then you got nothing to worry about.
The most important thing here is to proof that you can afford the trip despite the loan repayment. |

justwise: @sashaa
I mean in the employment letter you have right now how much is stated there as your salary?will get an introductory letter from Hr that will capture it
To know the right amount to have.. you need to do a budget breakdown of your trip that will give you an idea.thanx, will do that
Is the loan repayment going to be a problem? Any idea on that? |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by sashaa(f): 9:23am On Jan 27, 2018 |
justwise: Your salary level is good but i'm not sure about the cash available for the trip.ok, Do you have any idea how much i should aim for?
So its the new salary status stated in your employment letter? no, its not. We choose our structure every year end against the following year. You could choose a monthly plan or quaterly plan just like mine. Employment letter captures the breakdown of your pay package, like rent, feeding, etc
Will you receive the 535k payment before your application? yes, the payment will come on the 1st of april |
