My first degree is production And Industrial Engineering, which courses I can study in master please I need your contributions thanks.
I don't think anyone can tell you what to study, we don't know your capabilities, your career goals etc. So go on DAAD/Wikipedia/Google and do your research, don't just choose a course based on name, go on the school's website and look at the course modules and honestly ask yourself if you can study it.

And have registered on d new platform and gotten my old application number back on d new platform buh d previous application on d old platform isn't showin on the new platform. Does it mean am going to pay 75€ again
Pls I need clarifications

AM is not the same thing as visa, visa is the main thing. You can get AM without funding but you cannot get visa without funding.
Now the rules have changed, From Nov 1st, you must provide your proof of funds for interview.
So hustle hard for the remaining money as you await admission.

Deadline is in three weeks
With this deadline, you better not try NIPOST. Look for people sending to Germany and combine docs with them, the larger the group, the less you'll pay.
I sent my docs with 3 other people, we used courierplus, paid 13500 and it got to Germany in 3 days. Divide 13500 by 4 and see how much each of us paid. So look for other people and save cost

Good day everyone

Please who recently funded their euro Dom account and how did you do it.

I am told I can't deposit more than 1k euro cash per week in Zenith Bank.

Please I need help urgently.
Most people here use Access bank for dorm account because they don't have this restriction. So you may need to open an access dorm account or fund from someone with such account.

With this new APPLY ONLINE that uni-assist just put in effect now, does it mean that we wouldn't be sending our documents via Couriers again?
It's still stated on their website that you still have to send certified documents

What’s the right thing to do about this cos I can’t login my uni-assist account
To create a new account ??

I already have applications on the former uni-assist account
Go to Uniassist page, check Apply online. Scroll down and you'll see "Log into your old Uniassist account". It'll direct you to the old Uniassist login page, once you login, check application. If you've already applied or started applying then no problem, you can just finish up or make payment as the case may be. But you cannot start a new application on the old account, it'll direct you to the new account

I registered again and this didn't happen. After registering, I logged in and my Uniassist number came up automatically

OK, let's take a worst case scenario if I'm denied visa, how long will it take for me to av access to my money back from the blocked account?
You simply send your rejection letter to the escrow bank (Fintiba/Coracle) and tell them you want a refund. There is a form you'll fill and your money will be refunded

Please does anyone know why some schools are not on uniassist portal again
Uniassist now has a new portal My Assist. Because of these technical changes some schools had to move back their application start dates. So state the schools you're referring to.

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know why they give some applicants mathematics to solve during their visa interview at the German Consulate?

What are the other common areas they pick their questions from, besides binomial theorem?

Thanks
Search through the thread, there are loads of interview transcripts with the mathematics questions.

or I present it on arrival. Do I need to still certify my documents

You don't need to certify your documents.

Your first paragraph is probably true. As for the part in bold, I really don't expect any serious prospective student to do that when the requirements have been made clear by the school.

The real bone of contention is your submission in the third paragraph. Let me cite an example. A course makes it clear that Court certification and Embassy certification are allowed for it's programme.

Two candidates A & B with similar profiles apply for admission to the programme. Candidate A certifies with the Court while Candidate B opts for Embassy certification. Does Candidate B have a better chance than Candidate A because he used Embassy certification?

The answer is No!

Just wanted to make this very clear especially for newbies on here. Have a great day.

You've said it all. To the newbies, don't think that embassy certification will give you an edge in securing admission. Embassy certification only plays a role if the school specifically requires it. Apart from that nothing else.
Also the maximum amount of sets of documents you can certify at the embassy is 5. So if you're applying to more than 5 schools it may not work for you.
Another factor is the application form issue. The embassy will not certify your documents without an application form. Also, they don't usually certify documents that are not signed and stamped like student transcript. We all know that official transcript can be difficult to get so most people use student transcript for their admission.
So newbies, don't get carried away.

Good afternoon all.

Please my questions:

1) The person I want to use as my sponsor has permanent residency in Germany. Does it cover or must my sponsor be Germany citizen?

2) I am 31 and I wish to go for another degree in cyber security and not masters because I did not meet the requirements for M.Sc. in Cybersecurity, will i be granted Visa using the same sponsor as started above.

Your opinion will be appreciated greatly.

Thank you.

1. The sponsor must not be a citizen, just someone living and working legally in Germany.
2. It's not a big deal, your motivation letter must be top notch and you must be able to convince your VO why you're going for another B.sc

Fully booked as in no open dates anymore?
When I say fully booked I mean those dates have been issued out already but not sure if there are still any open slots. I know someone with AD of November twentysomething. So that means their quota might be filled up unless they make provision to accommodate more students.

hi sassy, the school actually approved the language course, i submitted it together with my other documents to the embassy.
and thank you. please when submitting the appeal, who do i address it to?! and do i need to include my international passport? or just the original documents they sent back?
There's a format with appeal letter, you can search the thread or contact those that have it. In your appeal letter, you need to address why you chose to apply for a language course before studies instead of going through studenkolleg. Also, you'll need to send all your original documents again. Try and fund before appealing, this is very important.

yeah proof of funds is the second reason, the first was “doubts about my study”. i plan on funding this week and sending an appeal to the embassy. i just need help on how to go about it. and the only prior german knowledge i have is from duolingo and online tutorials. That’s why i’m going for the language course first cos my course is being taught in german.

Sorry about your rejection but truly there are a few red flags:
- No BSc/HND/100 level transcript and you applied for a course with German as Language of Instruction bypassing studenkolleg.
- Your language course is in Berlin and your admission in Jena
- No letter/mail from your school approving you to attend the language school first before resuming your studies.
- No prior German knowledge (Zertifikat from Goethe Institute)
The reason why I'm highlighting the red flags is so that you'll know how to package your appeal letter. Remember the embassy doesn't usually give visa for language courses since there is Goethe Institute in Nigeria, there have been a few exceptions but its usually from schools which give permission for you to attend the language course before resuming your actual studies.
So look at how you can close all the gaps and convince the embassy that your intentions are truly to study. All the best!!

Done online yes. In person deadline is Nov 29 and they said they can’t extend. I cancelled my booking earlier this month and rebooked with December 1 as start date.
Hmmm. You see, the ideal thing is that your AD should be 4-6 weeks from your enrolment deadline. And the earliest AD you can get to enable you meet up should be in October. But October and November is fully booked already.
So just weigh up all your options. Anything is possible sha.

is it possible to apply for admission and then submit your transcript later on? I am at the process of concluding my 100lvl at NOUN but I want to start applying for summer admission as I heard that NOUN takes ages to provide the transcript and I am worried that the summer admission application period might be over by the time I get the transcript from NOUN.
I don't think you can apply to a school without transcript. It's one of the documents used to assess your eligibility for admission. I'm sorry but you may have to wait till winter 2020.

Thanks for the reply, i have checked the Anabin database and found out that my school wasn't there, I'm already taking a course at Noun and preparing for the exam next month, also I'm in A2 level of German, and also i want to go through studentkolleg and i just heard of something called Ausbildung.

Studenkolleg requires B2 in German. And since you're already in NOUN just finish 100lvl and get your transcript. Ausbildung is like apprenticeship, I'm not really sure how it works but I think it's been discussed on this thread before.

What's up bro, i graduated from a university in Benin republic (Esep le berger), but i want to apply for another B.sc.
Can i still apply or i should not bother too.
Most schools in Benin Republic are not recognised in Germany, however check anabin (Google it) and see if your school may be recognised. If your school is not recognised then and you still want to study in Germany, then register in a Nigerian University (like Noun) finish 100lvl then you can use the 100lvl transcript to apply for BSc in Germany.

Dear Sassy92

Thanks for your responses, I have written to my department and was able to secure a letter of extension to 1st December and no more and it is clearly written on the letter. And if I can't make it this year, I would have to reapply next year. And is 50/50 chance of been admitted next year.

One important question i need to ask is this: I was speaking to a House of Reps Member few weeks ago and he asked for my details that he was going to forward the details and find out what was wrong and i also included my appointment Number. So, my question is now that I wish to cancel and re-book with the new date, what do you advice I do going further ?

Please others should also share their thoughts about this.

My advice is that you cancel and rebook with the new date.
