ENGRPETER101:I don't think anyone can tell you what to study, we don't know your capabilities, your career goals etc. So go on DAAD/Wikipedia/Google and do your research, don't just choose a course based on name, go on the school's website and look at the course modules and honestly ask yourself if you can study it. 1 Like |

AM is not the same thing as visa, visa is the main thing. You can get AM without funding but you cannot get visa without funding. Now the rules have changed, From Nov 1st, you must provide your proof of funds for interview. So hustle hard for the remaining money as you await admission. 2 Likes 1 Share |

demigod9:With this deadline, you better not try NIPOST. Look for people sending to Germany and combine docs with them, the larger the group, the less you'll pay. I sent my docs with 3 other people, we used courierplus, paid 13500 and it got to Germany in 3 days. Divide 13500 by 4 and see how much each of us paid. So look for other people and save cost |

BIGBENB:Go to Uniassist page, check Apply online. Scroll down and you'll see "Log into your old Uniassist account". It'll direct you to the old Uniassist login page, once you login, check application. If you've already applied or started applying then no problem, you can just finish up or make payment as the case may be. But you cannot start a new application on the old account, it'll direct you to the new account 8 Likes 1 Share |

Glauben: You've said it all. To the newbies, don't think that embassy certification will give you an edge in securing admission. Embassy certification only plays a role if the school specifically requires it. Apart from that nothing else. Also the maximum amount of sets of documents you can certify at the embassy is 5. So if you're applying to more than 5 schools it may not work for you. Another factor is the application form issue. The embassy will not certify your documents without an application form. Also, they don't usually certify documents that are not signed and stamped like student transcript. We all know that official transcript can be difficult to get so most people use student transcript for their admission. So newbies, don't get carried away. |

jazzyjay: 1. The sponsor must not be a citizen, just someone living and working legally in Germany. 2. It's not a big deal, your motivation letter must be top notch and you must be able to convince your VO why you're going for another B.sc 4 Likes |

Thewizardof0zil:There's a format with appeal letter, you can search the thread or contact those that have it. In your appeal letter, you need to address why you chose to apply for a language course before studies instead of going through studenkolleg. Also, you'll need to send all your original documents again. Try and fund before appealing, this is very important. 6 Likes 1 Share |
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by sassy92(f): 1:42pm On Oct 22, 2019 |
Thewizardof0zil: Sorry about your rejection but truly there are a few red flags: - No BSc/HND/100 level transcript and you applied for a course with German as Language of Instruction bypassing studenkolleg. - Your language course is in Berlin and your admission in Jena - No letter/mail from your school approving you to attend the language school first before resuming your studies. - No prior German knowledge (Zertifikat from Goethe Institute) The reason why I'm highlighting the red flags is so that you'll know how to package your appeal letter. Remember the embassy doesn't usually give visa for language courses since there is Goethe Institute in Nigeria, there have been a few exceptions but its usually from schools which give permission for you to attend the language course before resuming your actual studies. So look at how you can close all the gaps and convince the embassy that your intentions are truly to study. All the best!! 9 Likes 1 Share |

mcpapillo:Hmmm. You see, the ideal thing is that your AD should be 4-6 weeks from your enrolment deadline. And the earliest AD you can get to enable you meet up should be in October. But October and November is fully booked already. So just weigh up all your options. Anything is possible sha. 3 Likes |

rs172: Studenkolleg requires B2 in German. And since you're already in NOUN just finish 100lvl and get your transcript. Ausbildung is like apprenticeship, I'm not really sure how it works but I think it's been discussed on this thread before. |

rs172:Most schools in Benin Republic are not recognised in Germany, however check anabin (Google it) and see if your school may be recognised. If your school is not recognised then and you still want to study in Germany, then register in a Nigerian University (like Noun) finish 100lvl then you can use the 100lvl transcript to apply for BSc in Germany. 1 Like 1 Share |
