Please does anyone have update on when AD will be sent out? I applied last month sept 3rd and my enrollment is in january

Since they refreshed the list yesterday,i was hoping that i would have gotten my AD
The embassy is closed today and on Thursday. Maybe they'll release dates tomorrow. Let's be patient and keep praying.

Isn't that why we paid money into the blocked account?
I think he's referring to those who borrowed to fund BA. And it also applies to those using SL.

Alright thanks for that information.

But like i said previously, i am in my first year currently in management course ( economic) in University here Ukraine. German university requested for first year transcript, so i was advised to complete my one year here in University then take the transcript to apply for bsc program in German university.

So since i studied my first year in economics, will they allow me to apply for study in IT course Note i am still applying to bachelor degree

If you're applying for another Bsc, your first Bsc( or 100lvl transcript) doesn't really matter.
But like you've been advised, concentrate on finishing your first year in Ukraine. Forget about jobs and hustling for now, don't let anyone deceive you, even though you can work as a student in Germany, there's only so much money you can make.
Concentrate on finishing your first year, then applying. And learn the language even if it's only A1, it will help in settling down and getting jobs too.

Really I dont think so ooo. The clause states and I quote: "The General Consulate will only ACCEPT APPLICATIONS with fully funded block accounts"
If this were the case, then they'll ask for your BA/SL BEFORE giving you a date. The fact that you can still book appointment without uploading BA/SL verifies this fact.
Your visa application starts on your appointment date (AD) not the day you booked or when you received a date.

From the information I have now, you can't get a date without funding henceforth.
No that means you must come for your interview with fully funded BA or original SL. It doesn't mean you must have it to apply for date. Obviously this move is to reduce the number of applications they receive because people will only book for date once they're sure of their BA/SL

Hello. Good evening my fellow Nigerian. I will tell you short story about myself.

I traveled to Ukraine last year October on student visa, i want to use Ukraine as a route to get to Schengen country where i will be able to study and work. Then Poland came to my mind. I am preparing to go to Poland next year but people are discouraging me that no jobs there, students can't work and study at the same. No jobs for student very difficult to find in Poland. I am was actually planning to save up to $5000 excluding tuition fees and accomodation. But someone adviced me to go to Germany and deposit $10,000 into block account. Then school is free and you can see job in Germany. It was quite interesting because i am planning to start my undergraduate program. I don't have any knowledge in German language.

I saw in this thread that for someone to get admission into German university bachelor program he need German language and one 1 year transcript. Please since i don't have those two requirements above what should i do in order for me to get admission into German university.??
And please tell me the best cities that i can go as a black that i can easily get job while schooling. Also i want to study any IT related course. Someone should suggest me good university and good cities to get job.

Thanks everyone
My advice, since you're already in Ukraine and you don't have German knowledge, finish your first year in the university there. Then you can collect your first year transcript and apply to German universities.

Please i humbly needs for to these questions
1) how do I get this declaration documents?
2) Which of the Nigerian banks is best and can be used to easily fund Fintiba account?
3) How is the Euros amount and Naira equivalent?

Please anyone with answers should please respond. Thank you

1. The documents are on the embassy site. Download and print it out.
2. Access bank, Stanbic, Zenith, First bank. Transfer using dorm account.
3. If you're using Fintiba then you'll transfer €10425. As for Naira equivalent, depends on exchange rate but everything should not be more than ₦4.3million. If you have not gotten AD, wait till you get a date before funding.

On the issue of this AD, I’m part of the people that have applied since like July, Category B. Till now no date.

Is it advisable to cancel and rebook after the so called purging or just rebook without cancelling on October 1 or 2.

Sassy92 pls your insights too.
I'm not an expert oo, this is the first time the embassy is using the Category system for appointment booking so there are a lot of gray areas. But it's clearly stated on the embassy website that they'll purge their system at the end of September to give room for new appointments. So there are 2 things:
- Cancel your previous booking and rebook in October
- Leave your previous booking and hope that the embassy will release dates after purging their
system.
I can't tell anyone which exactly to do, the choice is yours. But it's clear that the embassy doesn't use when you booked as a criteria for giving dates, people that booked in June/July haven't gotten dates while someone here booked in September and got a date. What the embassy uses is your enrollment deadline, your AD needs to be at least 6 weeks to your enrolment deadline for you to be able to meet up. The earliest AD you can get is in October, so look at your enrolment deadline and ask yourself "if I get a AD in October will I be able to meet up?" This should guide you appropriately.
For those whose schools allow enrollment by proxy, please IF YOU'RE CANCELLING AND REBOOKING MAKE SURE YOU USE DEC/JAN AS START DATE. And if you eventually get a date, please make sure you go with your certificate of enrollment for your interview and your proof of sustenance (fully funded BA or original copy of SL). For those using BA, wait till you get a date before funding.
That's all I can say, again I'm no expert so please take my opinion with a pinch of salt.

Thanks sis.

But a school like Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden requires the original copy which they described with "colorful marking". The email vpd has been uploaded on their PRIMUS severally but they keep rejecting since i have been informed by both the coordinator and others in the school.

I think the paper copy is somewhat more original than the email notification cos it comes in letterhead. I will visit the nearby nipost office on Monday to find out if i have a letter.

Wow, I didn't know that some schools only accept the hard copy. I uploaded the PDF copy that was sent to my mail to the TUM portal and it was accepted. Yes go check the nearest post office to you but depending on when you received the email version it may take a while to arrive Naija. Hopefully your application deadline is not close.

I want to know the courier service UNIASSIST used in sending these correspondences to Nigeria. Could it be received through nipost where one would need to visit nipost office in which your zip code falls?
Yeah they'll send it via NIPOST. But you don't have to wait till it arrives, you can use the PDF they sent via email.

Guys good afternoon, please I need more clarification on the provision of the embassy website.

Which they spoke about Senators, Rep Members, GIZ etc.

Does it mean a family member of the person in the presidency, reps, senate etc can get invited for interview based on your affiliation with them

??
Noooo. It means if a government official wants to travel WITH his family then they'll be interviewed in Abuja embassy. This clearly does not apply to students except you live in Abuja (or any of the northern states mentioned) AND going for Msc/PhD (they don't interview Bsc applicants)

Yes. I meet the requirements. But I didn't choose the ones that uses uni-assist. Bcz I don't know how it's been done
If you're going for summer, my advice is that you don't limit yourself. Courses are very limited for summer. I'm also going for engineering courses and the ones I found that are offered for summer, most use Uniassist and require English Test (IELTS/TOEFL). So check all the requirements for the schools and their application timelines.

Please, any school whose application for Summer is on? Anyone with such info should let me know.
Online application preffered. I have a CGPA or 3.788/5.00 with about 4 Fs.
I hv tried to check daad and shortlisted some schools whose applications are not open yet .

Since there is no much time, please brothers you can mention anyone you know.
Field: Engineering ( Mechanical, biomedical, process, production, engineering management)

ThNk you all,
For the courses you listed above, the applications usually don't open till October/November. So just chill and wait. In the meantime, check the requirements of the schools you've shortlisted. Do you meet the requirements? Start gathering your documents and (if you're applying via Uniassist) money for uniassist, shipping your docs etc.

Is feb part of summer applications
Technically it is. The embassy usually starts interviewing summer applicants from November. Some schools have released ALs for summer already.
I am of the opinion that the embassy may change the booking system for summer (THIS IS MY OPINION, NOT FACT). They may go back to the online or email booking system.

since they are reshuffling the system today for winter, i have booked since sept 3rd with an enrollment date for january, is it likely i get a mail for my appointment today or i would have to re-book again nextweek.
Honestly, no one can give a concrete answer on this. You can either:
- Cancel your appointment and rebook next week.
- not cancel and hope and pray the embassy will release dates after purging their system.
The choice is yours.

Good morning, my people in the forum, pls I want to make an enquiry about Master Degree.

I am a graduate, I studied Entrepreneurial and Business Management in my BSc. I want to for master degree in Germany, kindly suggest courses I can apply for that they will also grant visa at embassy in Nigeria.

The course must be taught in English Language. I will appreciate every response.

Thanks
Welcome to the thread. Every information you need to start is on the first page of this thread. Go to DAAD/Wikipedia/Google and search for your intended course of study. Find out if the course is being offered for summer semester, their application requirements, mode of application and application timeline. Start gathering your documents too. And read through the thread, there's an immense wealth of knowledge here. All the best!!

I beg you all please stop indicating any interest to stay in germany for a period more than the partcular study you are going for in the Visa Application, be it for Further Studies or anything. even when the VO tries to convince you to further ur studies, convince her/ him how your intention after ur study is to come back and get a Job or start up something. A friend was denied Visa also because he stated his intention to proceed with his PhD. NO! The Embassy expects you to finish one study, return to ur home country and not applying for further studies and scholarships. Please desist from that Trap
I really don't think it's about the PhD. @heybaby mentioned that she told her VO that she has no intention of returning to Nigeria till she reaches the peak of her studies; this is someone that was going for another Bsc in her 30s. Today she's in Germany. So clearly PhD is not the issue.
Sorry to those who received rejections, it can be really devastating. But thankfully so many useful suggestions have been given and I'm sure there'll be breakthroughs. It is well.

Hello All,
I booked an appointment initially around june and i had to defer my admission due to no appointment date.
so i cancelled and booked again an appointment on sept 3rd with january 2020 as enrollment date but i'm yet to get AD. Should i cancel and re apply or i shld keep waiting.

Secondly, should i go ahead to fund in anticipation of my AD?.Please i would be expecting replies because i'm really worried. Thanks
1- Don't cancel, just chill and hope you get a date. So long as your enrolment date is correct and you've been issued new AL with respect to your deferment.
2- Don't fund until you get a date. Very important.

But what if someone is using BA
If you're going to a big city where they have lots of applications, it may take them time to process them all. Also September/October is the peak of winter period with thousands of foreign students resuming schools so the workload is much. Just calm down, If you're below the 6 week mark (i.e it's not up to 6 weeks after your interview) then don't worry. Find ways to keep busy and distract yourself instead of refreshing your mail every minute.
Here's a general advice to those awaiting AM on how not to go crazy while waiting:
- If you haven't, start doing research on your school and the city it's located. Connect with students in the school, you can find them here on Nairaland or on Facebook. Ask them questions and let them tell you about life in school, the city, student jobs, activities etc.
- Start searching for accommodation, Housing in Germany is a big issue, and if you're heading to a city like Munich it's way more difficult. if you don't get accommodation, then you need to plan where you'll stay till you get accommodation ( Tip: avoid hotels and use youth hostels, They're far cheaper).
- Start reviewing your course modules, education in Germany is not easy. Download your course modules on the school's website and start looking at the courses you'll take, get textbooks and materials and start reading. if possible, you can connect with a student doing the course and plead with them to send you materials. Start reading oooo.
- There's a shopping list on the Nigeria Students in Germany thread, you can use it to start packing and preparing your things.

May all those awaiting AMs receive their testimony in Jesus' name.

From my university

Dear Mr A,

I managed to talk to the visa office in Hamburg today. It took a while until the German Embassy forwarded your application to them and currently they can’t do anything because the embassy told them that you didn’t have a blocked account at the time of your visa interview. Once the German Embassy has proof of your blocked account, they will forward the information to the visa office in Hamburg and then they can further process your application. I will call them again in the second week of October, hopefully they will have heard from the German Embassy by then.

Do you have a blocked account now? It is very important because otherwise you won’t get your visa.

Best regards

I sent my blocking confirmation on the 4th, I think I will resend again

This time around send it both by email and courier. Take no chances

Hello house please I have a question.
My current passport expires next year February and I’ve been trying to renew it at the immigration office here in Osun but they are saying there’s no booklet to print at the moment.
My interview comes up third week of October.
Can I present my current passport if the new one hasn’t been processed yet ?
Will there be any sanction ?
Please try to get another passport because there's a general rule for all embassies that they don't print visas on passports that are 6 months or less to the expiry date. Everything in Nigeria is about money, they always say 'no booklet' until you drop something.
