Please house...Can someone travel after the date given to the embassy during submission of passport amd travel insurance?! Or is it a must to travel on the exact date given to the embassy?

Yes you can travel after the date. But you can't travel before the date.

somebody!! . anybody!!!
Ordinarily you can't do Msc with HND. But since you have Msc and PGD it may be possible but we can't tell you for sure. So my advice is that you search for schools/courses via daad/Google/Wikipedia, mail the course coordinators and ask them if you are qualified for MSc (attach your HND and PGD certificates).

I'm interested in this answer. Once you get it let me know by mentioning me. I want to do so too but the problem is that the embassy needs the application letter from the universities you're applying to.

How can we lay our hands on a few fake application forms of school and use it to certify?

I hope there isn't any implication.
Don't try it. When the embassy does certification, they bind the documents + application form together. Unbinding it renders the certication void. It's clearly stated on the embassy website.
Just wait till the application starts, then print the application form and go certify with your documents at the embassy. Please don't be in a hurry, this journey requires patience or you'll be frustrated.

Thanks, @ Sassy92, actually the school does not defer and my programme (Msc. Educational Technology, Saarland University. Only school that offers the course in Germany) starts only during the Winter semester. But what happens if I get to the school there in December or January when the semester is almost finishing?

If you don't want to miss the admission opportunity I suggest you focus on getting to Germany. Again ask your school to extend your enrolment.
Yes, if you resume December/January, you'll have missed a lot but at least you can still take one or 2 courses, write the exams and pass. That your Masters is for 3/4 semesters doesn't mean you must finish in 3/4 semesters.

No na, how's that possible? Even on Uniassist website it's stated that you apply online then send your docs.
Just calm down. Your time will come.

Thanks for this but I am sorry to tell you that all the schools you posted here still requests a language test.
If you want to help please do and not further add to the stress.

Guy you no try. I and Hadampson responded to you with a list of schools, schools that someone painstakingly took time to compile and this is what you can say? OK no problem. Go and do your research yourself.
And if you're going for summer, I advise you write English test. Schools are very scarce for summer and you'll be limiting yourself.

Thanks but isn't it possible to carry her as I am going?
No it's not unless she also gets admission then she'll be going as a student on student visa. It's better for you to go first and let her join you on family reunion visa. With family reunion visa she'll be able to work while you study (students can also work but for 20 hours per week)

Dear Friends,

Good Morning, Sincerely, broken is actually an understatement for my current situation right now. And if I tell you that I am strong I am actually lying. I really don’t want to go into details of some personal issues right now.
But this is my situation. I have asked that question some time ago on this platform, about my inability to secure a date for my interview even after booking the same time with my colleagues who got dates.
I made a call across to the Consulate office on Friday afternoon to enquire why I was never called up for Visa Interview and a lady asked when am I to resume, I truthfully told her 14th October. And she analysed the timeline for me, that it takes at least 3 months to process a Visa, which practically means I can’t make it to join my counterparts this semester.

Brethren, Please share your thoughts with me on this issue. This is from my enrolment

IMMATRIKULATIONS-BESCHEINIGUNG
Wintersemester 2019/2020
(01.10.2019-31.03.2020)

Which means I have till march before my enrolment expires and I am yet to write for any extension from my student secretariat at school.
Please, unapologetically advise me.
Don't give up hope yet. Have you been following this thread?
First of all, you need to write to your school and ask for enrollment extension. Get extension to December/January. Then you can cancel and rebook.
See ehn, don't put too much pressure on yourself. If you don't make it for winter, then you can make summer. Either defer your admission to summer or start applying for schools for summer.

1. Copy the one you want to search about
2. Paste to Google and add "DAAD" at the end. The search will bring the DAAD page of the program for you.
3. Click on the DAAD Link and open each section about the course. Read up what is in each section. About the course, fees, modules, mode of Application, Application period and requirements.
4. Take a step further, copy out the course coordinator email at the bottom of the page and send an email if you have any further inquiry about the course. Especially of you're not sure if the course you studied for BSc can fit in. Attach your transcript and course module description (if available) to the mail. Don't come to nairaland to ask until you've sent this mail and received a response.
5. Some of them might not have Application period on DAAD Portal. Take a step forward by opening the course website. You'll find the link at the bottom of the DAAD page. You can get further detailed information from there.
6. As you are getting all these information, please get a jotter and pen them down. The faintest pen is sharper than the sharpest brain.
7. When Applications starts, ensure you follow all instructions given. In case of any doubt, mail the course coordinator. They are very welcoming and they'll reply you.

I wish you all well. kiss

Ladies and gentlemen, the immigration office in jena rejected all our applications for residence permit. In my case they said is too early for me to apply since my visa is still valid for six months.
I am raising this eyebrows because the same Ghanaian whose visa is six months like mine, his application was accepted.

I wanted to go to their office to ask but I feel somehow...

E reach to raise eyebrow oo, I don't want to believe that they're discriminating. Please go to their office and ask questions

Hello House,

Anyone have an idea if RWTH Aachen really requires GRE for masters admission in Advanced Civil Engineering. Haven’t had about a German institution requesting for GRE although it was stated on the schools website. I’ll appreciate better clarity on that.

Regards

If they state on the website that they require GRE, then it's so. And they're not the only ones, TUM and Hamburg University also require GRE for some of their courses. You can mail the course coordinator to confirm though.

I get your point dear and I agree with you, not everyone will/should do menial jobs to survive. The key to getting a good job is based on many factors such as skills, language, the demand for the course you studied etc. People need to factor all these in.

If anyone is coming to Germany with the intention of coming to get rich then they are on a very long thing. Here is not for a thing like that. People here live very simple life... They are not after riches but after comfort and good life. They very contented with what they have. Not greedy not criminal minded also.

Their system of government makes sure nobody gets too rich unlike Nigeria where the government even aids money laundering.

Germany is one of the richest countries in the world but if you check it has very few or no people who are in the category of people like dangote. The government channels its economy into bringing more money into the country and using it to develop and give its people good life.

There are opportunities but eschew the mind set of coming to pack money. Everything here is guided by law.

I wish all those coming good luck...

You've said it all bro. When I see people focusing on how much money they'll make when they get to Germany and abroad in general, I just laugh.
I have many family and friends who live abroad and I'd like to say this: DON'T RELOCATE ABROAD TO GET RICH. YOU BETTER LEAVE THAT MENTALITY BEHIND IN NIGERIA. RELOCATE TO GIVE YOURSELF/YOUR FAMILY A BETTER STANDARD OF LIVING.
That's all I'll say.

So it means i can't go with them immediately?
Na wa o. I think I prefer the PhD but can you please give me a timeline as to when they can join me?
First I think you should concentrate on gaining admission. PhD admission in Germany is not so easy. You'll need to write research proposals and mail it to various professors in schools there. And if they're interested they'll contact you for PhD.
Most PhDs are fully funded. Check daad.de for openings.
Once you secure admission taking your family over shouldn't be a big deal.

1. Summer 2020 starts March/April 2020, September/October 2020,you're talking about winter 2020.
2. You can renew your passport when it's 6 months or less to its expiry date but you can only do it at NIS Headquarters in Abuja.
So just relax for now.

Good day house! When applying for masters program do one need to provide proof of pay slips and statement of account when applying for visa?
No all you need is a blocked account containing €10236. It's called a blocked account because you cannot access all the money at once, you can only access it when you get to Germany and the bank will only release €853 to you every month.

Hello everyone, I’m a summer applicant due to no AD from the embassy for this past winter, I already have AD for summer now, for Nov 15. I have a bsc in engineering but I’m planning to study international business for masters. My question is that, I hope there won’t be an issue with getting a visa because I don’t have a business background?

Also, small advice for summer applicants, try to search very well and apply to schools with online admission application instead of focusing solely on schools that need uni-assist, so that you can get admission much faster. You should still apply to the schools that need uni-assist too tho, but the earlier you have an admission the earlier you can book for interview.
Please when did you book and under what category?
Also you need to write a top notch motivation letter and also be able to convince your VO why you are studying a course different from your Bsc because Germans like consecutive studies.

What hopes to category applicants have this summer. Is it expected to be the same story of no appointments? Since no reset has been done.
The embassy will still release dates, it's only a matter of time. Just be calm and patient. If you've done your enrolment and/or if your school allows you to resume from December upwards, there's still time. So just focus on other things to take your mind off it, like learning the language.
If you're a summer applicant, then focus on getting admission first.

Dear All,
It's been a while and I missed you all!!
Let me first start by saying that I apologise for all the negativity my actions caused on the thread last week. I'm deeply sorry.
As the admin rightly said, buying/sourcing for SL is illegal and a fraudulent act, one I've never engaged in. However, my post to @horladayour1 portrayed such. This would have created a platform for innocent people on this thread to be scammed by fraudsters. I believe this was what the admin was trying to avoid and that's why he banned me.
As moderator of this thread, @Justwise has worked tirelessly to prevent fraud of any kind here. His efforts should be commended. Thank you @Justwise for all that you do here. And thank you for reducing the ban. I can assure you that I won't repeat the mistake again.
I was touched by the number of people that spoke in my defense and the number of people who reached out to me privately. It really warmed my heart and restored my faith in humanity. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. My prayer for you is that on the day you need help/defence/support/encouragement, may you find it in abundance in Jesus name.
This thread has become family to me. And no matter what happens, you never give up on family. So I'll always be here to offer help in any way I can. It's good to be back!!
I wish us all success in our various endeavours. Peace and Love, everyone.
