Nairaland / General / Re: Soko Lending Company, A Fake, Illegal And Defamatory People by Sasuke007: 6:31pm On Oct 31, 2021
dlivingtribunal:
A lot of people have felt the illegal acts of the entity known as Soko Lending Company Limited (gocash, Sokoloan, 9jacash, fastmoney, etc) and the many apps they create to lure vulnerable and desperate people to take outrageous and outlandish loans from them.
If a person defaults a loan, the legal and normal process of recovering that loan does not include harassments, defamation, derogation of the individual.

There are several factors as to why someone may default. Even when majority of the people call soko to explain, they still brand them chronic debtors, and then illegally and criminally share the personal information of these individuals with with public, defaming them by insulting them and their families. Calling them bastards, thieves, goats and all sorts of defamatory statements, even going as far as debiting huge amount of money from their accounts even after some have paid. Their actions are criminal, defamatory and Libelous.

We say No more. They are debtors, they did not kill anyone.
We are initiating criminal lawsuit, and a billion naira class action lawsuit against SOKO LENDING COMPANY LIMITED, to end the operations of the loan shark company in Nigeria.
We will sue for damages, both defamatory, emotional, compensatory and punitive damages for all affected people as compensation.

Debt or not, there is no where in the Nigerian law that says you will insult, harass, intimidate or defame an individual or share private or BVN information of that individual to the public because of debt. or debt recovery.
Even the terms and conditions of soko loan is against that.

"Soko Lending Company Limited undertakes to preserve the confidentiality of all information you provide to Soko. We here by undertake that any personal information you provide or obtained by us shall be subject to the highest standards of privacy, security and confidentiality and such information will not be disclosed to any third party other than as require d by applicable laws, rules and regulations" -- This is a quote from their own terms and conditions/Privacy Policy. They are in breach of their own terms.

Sokoloan's actions of hacking into people's phones and sending out messages to contacts are criminal and Libelous, Criminal Defamation of character and a clear violation of the NDPR (Nigeria Data Protection) 2019 Act LFN

The Nigerian Data Protection Act LFN 2019 and other Regulations prohibits the sharing of personal information of clients and customers to third parties.
NDPR ACT
2.1
If any person or entity carrying out or purporting to carry out data processing under the provision of this paragraph (b) shall not transfer any personal data to any person;

SOKO LENDING COMPANY LIMITED, on their website claims to be a microfinance bank, truth is they are not even CBN licensed, as a microfinance institution. They have been fraudulently misleading the public and taking advantage of vulnerable and desperate people.
They falsely advertise themselves as a microfinance institution knowing they are not licensed as such by the CBN. Their reign of terror has to stop.

If soko loan or any of their apps and people have ever defamed, harassed, threatened, intimidated you, or someone you know, we would like you to join the class action lawsuit suit.

Reach out to us. Ensure you have evidence (screenshot, messages, recordings etc) and details of what transpired.
Contact us on (namechangenigeria@outlook.com).

These soko/gocash/9jacredit people have to pay, for the trauma, the emotional and psychological damage they have inflicted on innocent and vulnerable Nigerians.

The Soko Lending Company Limited was incorporated in Nigeria on the 28th of August 2018 with Registration Number RC 1520881 as a private company limited by shares.
Principal shareholders include;
Lu Wang and Ayodeji Sampson Ogunjimi.

Nairaland / General / Re: Unity: Northern Christian Elders Taunt Buhari, Say He's Lopsided, Nepotistic by Sasuke007: 6:25pm On Oct 31, 2021
Jatuski:

Christian Elders Forum of Northern States (NOSCEF) rising from its EXCO meeting in Kaduna on Saturday October 30, while joining the rest of Nigerians in thanking God for the country's 61st Independence Anniversary, tasked the President Muhammdu Buhari-led Federal Government to match words with actions by doing away with every nepotistic tendency in his administration, to enhance the country's unity.

NOSCEF in a statement signed by its Chairman, Engineer Ejoga Oyinehi Inalegwu dated Sunday October 31, 2021, described President Buhari's Independence Day broadcast, in which he emphasized the need to unite Nigerians, as mere rhetoric if he fails to himself practice what he is preaching.

"We join the President in appealing for a united, equitable, Nigeria that is fair and just to all, irrespective of religion, tribe, origin or region.
"We however, add that unity must first begin from the President himself.

"Let him unite the nation by bringing people together through appointments, that are not based on mere relationship with him or religion or any premodial considerations but competent hands, across religious, tribal and regional divides.

"In this regard, we appeal to Mr. President to start by appointing competent indigenous Christians from his home state of Katsina into key government positions.

"He will do more in promoting unity across religious and tribal lines by appointing not just a section to key sensitive institutions (customs, inland revenue, accountant general, financial institutions etc), strategic ministries and parastatals so they can come together, work together in unity and appreciate themselves because of their capabilities and competencies that abound across the lines of division and not privileges derivable by their religion or ethnicity," NOSCEF said.

The statement further said, "We frown at the perpetuation of the terrible injustice of the past by the systematic replacement of the favored by the same group while the few others appointed are also being replaced by the already favored."

The group reiterated that same goes for the security outfits; the Police, Army Air Force, Navy Prisons, Immigration, Civil Defence, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior, etc, which should reflect the regional and religious diversity of the country.

"The President cannot preach unity and be appointing only a section of Nigerians to hold sensitive positions.

"The president is not preaching unity when telling a section of Nigerians that by religion, ethnicity and region they are incompetent to hold sensitive positions in his government.

"The President should preach unity in the distribution of infrastructure, in appointments to sensitive and none sensitive positions across all divides.

"For both the President and the Governors, it should be noted that that the resources due all citizens under them are held in trust for all, whether they voted at all or did not vote, whether they voted for the ruling party or not.

"Siting and distribution of projects and development should not be repayment for patronage at elections. Revenues are for the development of the entire domain of governance and should be so seen," the group adviced.

NOSCEF emphasized that it is unfair, to on any ground, exclude states from benefiting from borrowed funds, when those states will participate in the repayment.

"Such are instruments of disunity and should be nipped in the bud.
Let us, as a nation, re-ignite our successes of the past, when great minds and national prides like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Prof. Adesina Akinwumi, Arumah Oteh, Amina Mohammed, Prof. Atahiru Jega, Dora Akinyuli etc were brought on the national stage on the basis of competence, not patronage. They, with others did us proud and we are now celebrating them on the world stage.

"Similarly, service chiefs and other security heads were appointed from across all divides, as lubricating oil of unity," it recalled.

The group stressed that the cover-up and justification for this lopsided appointments being based on merit, "is a national insult on those we superintendent over. Competency abounds across all divides of our dear nation and no President can justify lopsided appointments on the basis of shortage of competence or integrity from any section of the country.

" Let the President address these issues with determination and singleness of mind and he will be sowing seeds for reuniting Nigeria," they said.

They advised Buhari that it is never too late to do the right thing, by redressing past wrongs, as the results will be rewarding and the "sowing of seeds of unity and rebuilding hopeful confidence for the desired oneness of our beloved country."

On security in Nigeria, NOSCEF tasked Boko Haram insurgents that have announced their repentant status to prove their sincerity by facilitating the release of the Chibok girls still in their custody, Leah Sharibu and others still in captivity.

"That will be a practical demonstration to the nation that their repentance is genuine.
We commend the war against insecurity being taken to the camps of the bandits and commend the officers and men of the Armed Forces for gallantry and the successes being recorded.

"We identify with the ongoing onslaught against all criminal elements in our society," they said.

On the October mood of the nation, they said, "We greet our nation Nigeria as we recently celebrated 61 years as an independent nation.
We appeal to Nigerians to continue to pray for a united and progressive country."
Soon Nigeria will get there

Religion / Re: You Can Never Miss Heaven If You Understand These Three Simple Facts. by Sasuke007: 6:17pm On Oct 31, 2021
Toks2008:
Do you know that the main reason why people find it hard to make heaven is because it is ridiculously easy?

But unfortunately, it is difficult for many people to fathom the simplicity... no thanks to the doom and gloom preachers that constantly preach heresy thereby making it very hard for many to come to Christ.

Some years back, GOD revealed to me that there are millions of people in Hell who have no business being there but because they were ignorant of some simple facts about salvation which I am about to reveal to you.

If you understand these three facts, you can never ever miss heaven and you have no business with Hell...

1. No matter how terrible you think you are, Jesus says just come...No matter how unimaginable your sins may be, to Jesus it does not matter, he says just come. And coming to Christ simply means accepting him as your lord and saviour and this is so easy...No matter where you are on the surface of the earth, just ask him to forgive you all your sins and accept him as your lord and saviour and your name will automatically be included as a citizen of heaven. O YES! it is that easy.

Matthew 11:28-29 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Romans 10: 9 ''If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.''

2. Invite the holy spirit to help you in your journey of salvation: This is the most important part of salvation many people ignore. Do you know that you can still sin recklessly even after you have accepted Jesus as lord and saviour? This is because many people think they can overcome sins by their power so they struggle to live right and it is at this point many people give up their salvation simply because they feel it makes no sense calling themselves believers when they still sin like unbelievers and most people who give up at this point hardly ever come back to Christ.

When a child is born, he grows from an infant to adulthood and an adult human is not more human than an infant and in like manner, a mature believer in Christ is not more born again than a new believer but the only difference is growth. The good news is that there is a process called sanctification( A process of growth or development in our salvation), and it is only the holy spirit that does this. So please don't ever give up your salvation during this process cos the holy spirit is so powerful that it will cause a positive mutation in you and by the time he is done with you, the sins or terrible habits you once find pleasure in will disgust you so much that you will begin to wonder how you ever loved them.

Only the Holy Spirit has the power to make the changes God wants to make in our lives. Philippians 2:13 says, God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

3. Ask for forgiveness if you ever fall into sin...Ok now you have accepted Christ as lord and have invited the holy spirit to sanctify you so what next?...Well the truth is that for some, the process of sanctification may take their life time but that does not disqualify them from heaven neither does it make them an unbeliever. Jesus said in John 6: 37 ''All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away'' ...this simply means as long as you have accepted Jesus as your lord and saviour, he will never ever give up on you or drive you away because you are still in the process of sanctification....just don't take his grace for granted just as Paul warned us in Romans 6:1-2 ''What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?''.

And finally, just as it is clearly written in 1 John 2:1-2 ''My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defence--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.... This means you can always rise up whenever you fall into sins as you get better and better. Don't find pleasure in sin, submit yourself to the workings of the holy spirit and if for any reason you fall into sin, ask for forgiveness in Jesus name but don't ever give up your salvation because Jesus will never ever give up on you.

These are the clear road map to heaven and i hope this blesses someone.

I pity you

Religion / Re: God And Science. by Sasuke007: 6:12pm On Oct 31, 2021
Originakalokalo:
There has always been a conflict between the believers of science and those who believe in God.

However, this conflict is not needed...

For instance, the Hebrew boys in the book of Daniel were regarded to be skillful in science.

“Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and

cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace,

and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.”
— Daniel 1:4 (KJV)

This shows that God gave them knowledge to observe, experiment and make conclusions.

Now,

God created the sun while science probed and explain it's principle of operation.

If the Sun will be self-sufficient and operate continuously, then it must function on a principle....

Explaining the principle of its operation does not remove the fact that it was created.

The same applies to the rain, sowing and reaping, seasons and weather. All these happen continuously and timely.

A child of God may believe in Science....he/she should however be aware of the danger of believing everything science says....

I will mention why......

you're on the right path

Religion / Re: Why Is God's Name 'JEHOVAH' Not In Your Bible? by Sasuke007: 6:01pm On Oct 31, 2021
haddeylium:
This God's name Jehovah appear originally more than 7,000 times in the bible. It's so sad that Man (not God) has removed and substituted God's name with mere titles like LORD and God (in some bible translations).
Note: Title is different from a personal Name.
Buhari is not the same as President.

Most answers claim that the reason is because “Jehovah” is not the correct pronunciation of God’s name in Old Hebrew. But that does not explain why Yahweh —or whatever the correct pronunciation is supposed to be— is not in most bibles either.
So, I’d say that that is not the reason.

Another , some considered that God’s personal name was too sacred to be pronounced out of respect for Judaism superstitious belief , of whom Jesus said: “You have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition.”—Matt. 15:6
This is baseless as well.

it's impossible that we'll be in close relationship with a friend that we don't know his personal name. God is not nameless, his titles are not his name. He has a real personal name.

Ex. 3:15: “God said . . . to Moses: ‘This is what you are to say to the sons of Israel, “Jehovah the God of your forefathers . . . has sent me to you.” This is my name to time indefinite, and this is the memorial of me to generation after generation

Psalm 83:18(KJV)
That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Conclusively, the central part of Jesus assignment on Earth is to make this God's name known.(Read John 7:26).
Is God's name as important to you as it is to Jesus?

Having a close relationship with God involve getting to know him by name
that's the problem with Christianity
