I forgot TV5. I don't think he is getting paid that much so he is absolutely worth it(may be even under paid when compared to the salary Lescott is on)
Eboue!!! Really? undecided

Van Persie ain't poo. He's just injury prone. A fuly fit RVP is worth his current pay packet
Gallas is kinda 50/50. Some days he looks worldclass while on other days he plays like your run of the mill center half.
Gallas looks world class? Are you high?
TBH, Vermaelen is the world class material in wait threatening to blow up like nitro.
He reminds me of Nesta with the way he's comfortable in possession and at 23, there's still enough time to improve!!!

Come to think of it, Belgium will be a world superpower by 2014 with the young players coming through in that country.

Vermaelen
De Laet
Fellaini
Kompany
Eden Hazard
Defour
Witsel
Dembele

I'll take you to the cleaners.
What makes you think he won't reach the 20 goal mark when the likes of Rooney, Drogba, Bent,Defoe & Tevez have either already reached the 20 goal mark or are in the preocess of achieving it this season? undecided
I meant 20 league goals!!!
Zlatan will cave in by the time Dunne, Vidic and Johnny Evans batter him.
Drogba the monster has only managed the 20 goal mark once in his career in England. U think say na yam to score here?

I'm actually quite suprised that the gaynners pay packets are that high.
Save Fabregas, a fit Van Persie & may be Gallas, I don't think any of that lot deserve what they are currently earning.
Cesc
Eboue
Arshavin

Van Persie is shyte. . . . .
Gallas is brawns with no brain cells.
Vermaelen had it going for him but his decision-making in the games against United/Chelsea/Man City was atrocious.

You are a fool.
The use of English is your biggest problem.
Ronaldo is not dead YET so you cannot use "was" to describe his football prowess.
Half-baked nitwit. grin

Ronaldo in his prime was,is arguably the best striker ever no doubt abt that, however the question here is, based on merit, IS HE A WORLD CLASS STRIKER IN 2009/10 season. Does the phrase "he has lost it" ring a bell or mean anything to you undecided
Ronaldo is a world-class striker and will always be.
Pele and Maradona are world class players and they will always be. . . . .
Is? Was? Bleep off!!! cheesy

u are farting from both sides of your a$s!! One second you say a world class player cant be benched and the next you say he can, but it boils down to the manager's personal preference. Wing Forward can be called a winger? grin grin grin grin
Next time, you will tell us wing backs can also be called wingers?
I have told you your IQ and the IQ of that pubic louse dwelling in your nether region for the past 6 years are at par.

This petty-witted piglet is telling me Kaka is a better striker than Zlatan. . . Next thing you know, Messi is a better center back than Vidic.
Sauron, go and hawk bubble gum in Darfur. cheesy
Zlatan isn't even the best player @ Barcelona, Kaka led an ageing Milan Side to a Champions League title.
At Barcelona, the fans expect Messi, Xavi, Iniesta to deliver before they turn to Zlatan.
Zlatan is so shitty i will bet ma mortgage he cannot score 20 goals in the EPL.

Myles Palmer has always been a thorn in Arsene's flesh, at Arsenal people are allowed to hold their views whether supporting or dissenting without the fear of having boots kicked at 'em. grin
He thinks Wenger does not think on his FEET. grin

Your debt policy is shyte and will be your undoing.
The information is not far-fetched.
Lets count the number of titles United have won since The Glazer takeover and compare with what Arsenal have won. grin cheesy

Why did yu sell to the Glazers in the first instance? was it not to be competitive with the financial power of Abrahamovic's Chelsea? and didn't they inject money into the club? or where did yu get the money to buy Rooney, Berbatov and to nick CR7 off us? only you forgot there could be a sting in the tail.
Stop talking like an illiterate.
The Glazers have not spent 1p on Man Utd since they took over in 2005.
Ronaldo was bought in 2003, Rooney was bought in 2004 and Berbatov was bought from the funds in United's reserve.
I repeat, the Glazers are yet to spend 1 Naira in Man Utd. I hate exposing your folly but u brought this one on yourself.

Enjoy your trophies, you are not likely to have many of them in the future and your debt burden will surely grow.
Walcot has a lot of time to put his injury worries and loss of form behind him, we are not worried at all (Quoting Arsene) and if he choses not to, we've got Vela, JET, Wilshere, Watt, Lansbury e.t.c all snapping at the bit if he doesn't take his opportunity.
Buncha overrated featherweights. . . . .
Players who would soon be forgotten like Lupoli and Owusu-Abeyie. grin cheesy

Good for you but yu're still going to the bond market to borrow aint you?
United have trousered the £500 million already. . . . .How the bonds behave in the market ain't our business again.

Stop speakin like a dummy Sauron, yu're smarter than that. The wage bill is not the only expenditure that goes towards the playing personel.
U are the dummy here. . . . . .Danny Fiszman told us the truth about Arsenal. . . . .
Wenger makes money and he spends it on unproven featherweights. . . .Debosky will enlighten you more on this. grin

I agree Chelsea are the greatest spendthrifts and if we factor in the law of diminishing returns, it is no surprise that their outspending you has not won them the league in the last 3 years even though it has brought some FA and Carling cups their way.
Yet they still managed to UnCloth a team of youngsters HOME/AWAY this season.
They outclassed your team and Wenger resorted to his usual rants of wankery.

Arsenal lost to Stoke because of the pitch, They didn't beat Villa because they don't play the game Wenger wants them to play, and Wenger thunk they actually beat Chelsea in the parallel universe in Wenger's head where the goals are removed and the winner is judged by the panel from American Idol. grin

You however come a close second though I'm not sure if the other half of manchester have now knocked you off that perch.
Knocked United off their perch?
34 years without a title and Citeh have done what?
We have beaten em bluish-blackish this season BUT they have anally violated Wenger TWICE this season.

Methinks even the honourable Sir Fergie has come to the conclusion that this is not the best way to compete and returned to his initial youth oriented principles but I think we've already got a headstart on yous, thats my hypothesis anyway but the future will tell.
Keep deluding yourself.
SAF started the youth policy schitzo in this country. . . . .Wenger didn't start until 2004/5.
Fergie has been using his fledglings since 92/93 and he has never failed to bring one or two players up to speed throughout his stay at OT!!!
Wenger is only copying his master and he is still SHYTE at copying. grin grin grin grin

and what of the price of the one that beat yu at the emirates last season? we are not talking of the value of squads in a single match here but of the entire team over a period of time.
Ohhh. . . . .the match we gifted y'all so Wenger can have breathing space?
In the one that mattered last season, we trounced you HOME/AWAY in Europe and your fans left the Stadium after 60 mins. grin grin

If we really are small time, we wouldn't be discussin as I don't see you bothering with say a Stoke supporter or even a City or Everton Supporter.
Arsenal are small time.
I don't reckon with shyte clubs especially the ones with the loudest fans and nothing to show for it.
Wenger and his goons should shut up for once. Lie low and talk when you have something encouraging to show the world.

You have done nothing of the sort, think again Sauron, are wages the only expenditure that go towards your playing staff?
Enlighten me. . . . .What else go towards the playing staff? Paedophiliac activities? grin

besides why wouldn't Arsenal's wages be commesurate with yours? so that you can nick our players perhaps?
Wages might not make a big difference true enough but about a 100m difference in expenditure on players is bound to make a huge difference over time except you are planning to rewrite every known law of economics.
Chelsea spend loads on wages and they haven't wrestled the title away from United for the past 3 seasons.
It's not about how much you spend but what you spend it on. . . . . .Wenger should stop using money as his excuses for failing.

Interviewer: Why doesn’t Wenger buy the players we obviously need?

Myles Palmer: The answer is simple. He sold two Africans to Manchester City for £40 million and used most of that money to give new contracts to 18 players who have not won anything and will not win anything under his guidance.

This control-freak's idea of heaven is a team that doesn’t give him any aggro, where nobody ever puts in a transfer request.
By paying £60,000 a week to Eduardo and Walcott, he owns them now and he will continue to own them for 20 years after they retire.

He boasted that Almunia had no CV before he came to Arsenal and he insults us by touting him for England, a comment which infuriated Fabio Capello, among others. Eboue, Denilson and Diaby can never be sold because nobody else would pay those wages to them.
Who would pay money for Almunia? grin grin grin grin grin grin

He has tunnel-vision. His sole interest is in pursuing his vision of how his team should play. We saw that clearly on Sunday. The eleven he picked was the eleven that could best deliver his vision of how football should be played. Only a delusional sports scientist would have fielded that eleven against battling champions who have won three league titles in a row. He deserved to get smashed.

Wenger’s narrow, blinkered vision is more important to him than trophies, and that’s why he’s failed to win trophies he could have won, including four European finals that he has lost with Monaco and Arsenal.

Jose Mourinho managed to hype an average player and the whole world bought into his hype.
Darren Bent will do better than Ibrahimovic with the large ammo of brilliant players they have got in their midfield.
U look at Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Henry and there's sterling creativity everywhere. . . . .and all of a sudden Ibrahimovic is world class?

Johnny Evans had this beanpole in his pocket in San Siro. Zlatan didn't get a kick for 90 minutes with a 21 yr-old Evans!!!

Judging from his form last and current season for milan and Madrid, HELL NO, Kaka is not a world class player, He did not improve

Milan's form last season and Madrid has won lost more games with kaka on the pitch than when he was absent
Conclusion- A player is world class based on his performance over the course of a season, I don't bloody care if he is a former WPOTY

I judge a player based on his current season performance and not what he did in 1942 during the biafran war
This is bullshit. . . . . .U have to judge players based on their abilities with the round object.

So Almunia and Gallas are how old? 17?

so if u say Buffon would walk into any team(Madrid inclusive) what happens to Casillas? Will Real field two goalies at a time? Obviously, one of them would sit on the bench. Does that mean one of them isnt world class? No, it means your definition of a world class player(unbenchable) exudes military-grade buffoonery. cheesy
You are a military-grade dolt!!!
All i am saying is Buffon/Casillas walking into Madrid depends on the preferences not related to football at all.
SAF will choose Casillas and Guardiola will choose Buffon and their reasons wouldn't be because one aint better than the other. . . . cos they have the same ability. How did you pass your SSCE? Some sat the exams for you?

Kaka a better winger than Henry? A better striker than Ibrahimovic? My friend, go and analyse the effects inter-racial lesbian p0rnography has on the Lebaneese community at large. cheesy grin

Henry is not a winger. Henry is a forward!!!
Barcelona don't play 4-4-2, they play 4-3-3 and Kaka can very much hold his own on the left side of a 3-prong attack.
Kaka shytes on Ibrahimovic as a centre forward? Who the heck is Zlatan? Is he better than Adebayor?

quit beating around the bush like a chimpanzee looking for his first meal of the day. Will Buffon walk into any team in the world? Yes or No?
Buffon will walk into any team in the world same as Casillas.
They are world class goalies and it's a matter of preference for any manager wishing to buy and choose between the 2.
None of them will be ignored based on their goalkeeping skills. It will simply be because Buffon smiles better or Casillas curses more.

Its not a matter of whether Kaka is a better PLAYER than Henry or Ibrahimovic, is he a better left wing forward/center forward than Henry/Ibrahimovic? NO!! If you had better options upfront, would you play Rooney as a goalie just because he's a better player than your first choice goal keeper? NO!! He would sit on the bench and talk about global warming/recession! cheesy
Kaka is a better player on the left wing/centre forward than Ibrahimovic/Henry.
Should Kaka move to Barcelona, one of those two will form butt-prints on the Barca bench.
KAKA is 3 times better than Ibrahimovic and 10 times better than Thierry Henry.

FFS, Rooney will bench Henry should he decide to play for Barcelona.

Noone is lamenting, even if the press phrase it as a lamentation, go and listen to Arsene's press conferences in full. It was a strategic decision by the club and one they are sticking with. It has kept the club in good stead.
There's nothing strategic in what Wenger is doing. . . . .He is getting the stick for it even from Arsenal die-hard fans.
I will post Myles Palmer's review or Piers Morgan's view on the way things have gone belly up at the Emirates.

We are saying the same thing in different ways, yu see it as a negative because we've not won anything so far, I see it as a positive that our youth policy is about to come to fruition and I never said the grooming started in 2009. is it possible to actualise a youth polcy in one year? can you point out any club who did this in this outgoing era of free flowing money? I would rather credit Arsene that he made us punch above our weight during the transition period such that a lot of fans didn't even realise we were undergoing a mssive change in our team building policy, because the standards and demands on the team were never compromised.
Your youth policy is shyte.
Fergie won a league title with his kids in 95/96.
Arsenal have not won cowries with their kids(not even the Carling Cup) so what fruition are we talking about?

Wenger has been on this rebuilding shyte since 2005/6 and he has nothing to show for it thus far.
How long does it take to put a team together? Where would Flamini, Hleb, Adebayor, Gilberto Silva, etc fit into this?
Just when you think the project is about to be completed, an important piece of the jigsaw will leave and then Wenger is back to ground ZERO.

Definitely, it is about the Time/Money concept and that is why Arsenal is now making profit despite having built a stadium while both Chelsea and Manure have struggeled with debt in recent times. You've got yur trophies and I've never begrudged manure of them, they've paid for them and will continue to pay into the future, our squad is younger and rapidly maturing now with a vibrant academy in place to keep on churning out players for the first team.
Hehehe. . . . .U should begrudge our trophies and don't make a tool of yourself comparing Man Utd with Chelsea or other clubs.
United spend the money the club makes(no sugar daddies), those funds were generated organically by the club via their success on the pitch.
Your squad is younger but they are not up to the task. Look at Walcott for example. . . .Is he improving or deteriorating? grin

Now if only most of the moaning Arsenal fans understood that, we would have less arguments and all but maybe it is good for everyone concerned, like my younger brother always says "Win or lose, the Premiership has always got to be about the Arsenal". You can't say that about most clubs now can you?
United rule the PREM. I dunno why the Premiership has always gotta do with a club that has won nothing in half a decade.
A league loss in United = Crisis in the club.
Even when they batter their top rivals and win, pundits still have something negative to say about them.
We are used to it.

Good for you, now will you please go and start integrating more of these budding stars into your team like the Da Silva brothers, maybe that will help in reducing your debt burden further. Oops sorry, the Glazers can't do that because the whole model is based on having to always win something yearly so as to have money to service your debt. When will this vicious circle end? or more importantly what will happen if we or Chelsea win the PL this season and yu end up with nothing?
What has United's debt gotta do with trophies? Has it stopped the club from buying players?
Chelsea did not win a league title last season but they still made £87 million from prize money. If United finish trophyless, they will still rake in more money than Arsenal winning the TREBLE. We are the most supported club in Europe, TV/Media show more United games than any other club in the EPL so there's no limit to this!!!

Wagebill over a 3 year period of complete info supplied by Sauron
Chelsea       418.9
Manure        298.7
Arsenal       276.5

Still gives us a surplus of 22.2m against you and 142.4 m against Chelsea. You can add this to the gains in player purchasing when considering the business as a whole or are yu implying that the 2 exist in isolation?
So you are saying £22.2m difference is enough to keep y'all TROPHYLESS and make United TROPHYFUL?
Are you aware £22m is like (Hargreaves + Tosic)? grin grin grin grin
Profit in player purchasing? Of course, for a selling club like Arsenal, you expect em to be a feeder team to big clubs like Man City.
Profits made in player purchases has nothing to do with your wage bill.

This shouldn't trouble you however Sauron you've got your trophies to show for it. You should however notice the increase year upon year in the difference between our wage bills (I expect it to be at least 25m by the time yu have the data for 08/09 season). Bottomline is you've still outspent us significantly.
Outspend signficantly?
Chelsea have outspent Man Utd but did that stop United from winning 3 league titles in a row? grin
Did Chelsea's multi-million pound squad stop United from winning the UCL in Moscow? Abeg, WENGER has no excuse. . . .He is a FAILURE.

Oh, you thot I was borrowing a leaf from Sauron's Manual of "Manipulating Dodgy statistics for argumentative purposes"? I assure you nothing could be further from the truth, I was only limited by time, effort and available information so I picked what could be likened to a typical matchday 1st team squad. If you like we can do this again and I even concede the right to set a rule for the information to be supplied (for example, an analysis of the 11 most expensive players in the squad perhaps?). Whichever way we do it, I'm sure the facts would still be very apparent.
Bring it ON!!!
All i know is the United team that started against Arsenal a fortnight ago were less expensive than the Starting XI of Wenger's Salvation Army team.

I'm in total agreement with you here bar the snide remarks on Arsene which I've removed. My original post was an attempt to illustrate the strategic direction the club took starting from the end of the invicibles era(possibly conceived even before then) to A-40.
Arsenal are small time.
Wenger took the easier option. If i lose, i can always blame it on lack of funds and inexperienced players.
He now plays beautiful football to console himself when his peers are winning trophies to show for their hard-work.

The concept of appreciation in assests is exactly what the club is banking its future on to ensure the club retains its big club status without going into debt or selling out to a benefactor. Strip away all your wisecracks and chest thumping, have you proved anything to the contrary? methinks not.
I have!!!
Facts have shown there's no considerable difference in the wages United n Arsenal pay their players.
United win trophies, Arsenal don't and we are talking about £20 million difference here. Is that an excuse?

That decision will be left for the manager to decide but both of them are world class!!!
It's splitting hair. 50% of footie fans will choose Buffon and the other 50% will choose Casillas.
They both have the same ability and 2 players can be the best.

I never said Song is world class but as usual, you are ranting like a gorilla mourning the death of her twins.

Cole/Evra(neck and neck)
Buffon/Casillas(neck and neck)
One is not significantly better than the other and any manager in the football world can do with either of them satisfactorily.

If you still don't believe what I've written above about the youth policy being a strategic decision, here is an analysis of the purchase values of the current first team squads of the top 3 clubs, in these first teams Arsenal has 6 players who were aged 21 and below when they joined the club, manure has 4 and Chelsea has only 2. I haven't even considered bringing in the reserves of which everyone knows that most Arsenal squad players are Under 21 years of age once you remove Silvestre, Eboue, Fabianski and Big Sol.
What has this gotta do with competing in the Premier League. It seems Wenger has pulled the wool over your eyes with this youth policy rubbish.
Lamenting that Arsenal have an average age of 23, while their opponents is 29 is a tad moronic.  This is NOT a matter beyond Wenger's control. Who was it that signed all those young and inexperienced players to begin with?

Arsenal lack experience but it should not be used as an excuse.
Wenger cannot have it both ways. Irrespective of the club’s financial constraints, Arsenal’s lack of experience is down to him.
His kids can never win the Premiership cos this grooming did not start in 2009. He's been on it since the death of the INVINCIBLES and we are yet to see any remarkable improvement since then.

This has only considered the Transfer figures and not the wages, now can you see the scale of the diffference in expenditure to buy players between ourselves and our direct competitors? can you think on any reason why we should even think of comparing ourselves to them if monetary value of players is the only way by which success can be achieved on the playing field?
The difference in expenditure means shyte, get some perspective and stop debating like a geriatric drunk.
It's all about TIME/MONEY concept. Wenger buys em cheap at a young age and develops them. Others buy them at a ripe age and expect instant results. 5 years down the line, United and Chelsea have something to show for their expenditure whilst Arsene Wenger is still struggling to win something with the kids he has been developing for the past FIVE YEARS. U cannot focus on the money spent getting these players without accounting for the TIME spent in grooming them.

I dare say that only a board of lunatics will ever think of sacking a coach who has managed to achieve this, the good thing is we have closed the gap and made money in the process to stand the club in good stead going forwards, our direct competitors know this and even they have stopped the spending spree, the recent major purchases by both clubs have been in the youth age frame (Sturridge by Chelsea and Smalling by Manure) showing a shift in the strategy of these clubs in terms of player purchasing, the major advantage we have over them now is our scouting network that has landed the likes of Wellington and Galindo.
What is the advantage in signing Wellington and Galindo when United tapped into the Brazilian market way before Wenger's scouts ever did.
Go and read about Traffic Football Management that gives Alex Ferguson the first option on more than 200 Brazilian teenagers being groomed for European football in a Sao Paulo academy run by World Cup winner Carlos Alberto Parreira.

I suggest you take time to do some research for yourself and not swallow the lies of the british media or die hard Arsenal haterz like Dayokanu and Sauron.

Robin Van Persie     2.75
Arshavin             15
Vermaelen            10
Fabregas             .5
Gallas               0 + 5m
Sagna                8
Clichy               .5
Song                 1
Nasri                12
Diaby                2
Almunia              1

Total                52.75m
Conveniently omitting/doctoring the wages of flops like Eduardo(£8m), Walcott(£12m), Denilson(£3.5 million), Nasri(£15.8million).
Besides that, only a complete slowpoke will value the current Arsenal side based on the transfer fees paid for them after over 5 years without putting appreciation and the time wasted on their development into the equation.
Does Van Persie still play like a player bought for £2.75m after 6 years?

Van Der Sar          2
Evra                 5.5
Ferdinand            30
Vidic                7
Rafael               0 Unknown
Carrick              18.6
Fletcher             0
Rooney               25.6
Nani                 15
Valencia             16
Berbatov             30

Total                149.7m
Giggs/Scholes who were signed free were conveniently omitted so you can drive your points home, abi?
Rio and Vidic who have barely played football this season and they have been replaced by Brown/Evans(signed FREE), why omit them?
What a dodgy twunt!!!
Rio was bought for £30 million 8 years ago. I am sure Arsenal have spent more than that in the same position in the past 8 years(Toure + Cygan + Senderos + Gallas + Vermaelen).

Cech                  7
Ashley Cole        11.5 (actually Gallas + 5m)
Terry                  0
Carvalho            19.8
Bosingwa           16
Mikel                  16
Lampard             11
Malouda             13.5
Joe Cole             6.6
Drogba              24
Anelka               15

total                140.4m
Rubbish!!!
No one forced Wenger to sign embryos in Arsenal.
The Premier League is not an age-grade competition. If Wenger is so fascinated with children, let him go and manage under 13s in France or Congo Republic. The value of the teenage players he signed 5 years ago is not the same as their value today. Learn the concept of appreciation in assets.

Note: I expect Sauron to see this and start his chest beating that Manure's expenditure was worth it with the silverware they've got and maybe he is right as I believe there is a price to pay for every strategic decision an entity makes, our project has not brought us silverware in the past but I expect it to start bringing silverware very soon and will be so glad if this season is the first of many.
I will not even beat my chest that Man Utd's expenditure is worth it. Why dwell so much on something so obvious?
My line of argument will focus mainly on the wages of these players as we speak today.
That is the only true test to determine whether Arsenal are far behind their rivals or not. grin

WAGE BILL 2008/9
Chelsea -huh
Man Utd -huh
Arsenal - £104.0m
Liverpool -huh

WAGE BILL 2007/8
Chelsea - £172.1m
Manchester Utd - £121.1m
Arsenal - £101.3m
Liverpool - £90.4m
Newcastle Utd - £74.6m

WAGE BILL 2006/7
Chelsea - £132.8m
Man Utd - £92.3m
Arsenal - £89.7m
Liverpool - £77.6m

WAGE BILL 2005/6
Chelsea - £114m
Man Utd - £85.4m
Arsenal - £82.9m
Liverpool - £68.9m

As you can see, there's no significant difference between Man Utd(3 EPL winners in a row) and Arsenal(perennial losers).
The starting XI of the Man Utd team that scored 3 goals before the 60th minute mark at the Emirates 2 weeks ago were cheaper to assemble than Arsenal's starting XI on the night.

Sauron
using your daft logic, there is only one world class player in each position(or two depending on the position) since a world class player must be able to walk into any team. That means one of or both A.Cole/Evra, Maicon/Alves, Buffon/Casillas etc arent world class. . . I laugh in 2012.
U are incredibly moronic to have thunk Alves is a world class RB. . . .
Ashley Cole/Evra is splitting hairs(it depends on what the manager prefers cos they are neck and neck).
Same as Buffon/Casillas. . . .

But to put Gerrard/Lampard in the same category as Xavi/Iniesta/Pirlo when even a blind man knows the latter are streets ahead of the English flops makes you sound like a buffoon and i ain't trying to diss you. grin
I am 100% sure Fabregas is better than Gerrard and Cesc is a non-starter for Spain.

According to Sauron, there are only 11 world class players(the lads that walk into any team), and a washed up Kaka is among them cheesy
Kaka to Barcelona? Henry will get benched.
Kaka to Man Utd? Berbatov will be sold.
Kaka in Madrid? Raul has been forgotten.
Kaka in Arsenal? RVP, Eduardo and Arshavin will be sold to Africa.

Which club in this planet will Kaka be a peripheral player?
Name one club on the planet Kaka will look outta place?
He is a world class player whichever way you view him.

chic2pimp:
I wouldn't call Lamps an england flop. He was england's second best player behind Rooney during Euro 2004.
Hagreaves might have performed better for england than the two of them but that does not mean they ain't worldclass.
Get some perspective. . . . .
Lampard and Gerrard are national deception.
When it mattered most in the WC in 2006, they were both found wanting.

England lost to Portugal because Gerrard/Lampard are classic flops.
Watch how the 2 bastards broke the hearts of 60 million English fans.

Gerrard? Over-rated.
Lampard? Average.

The tekkers of players like Xavi, Pirlo, Iniesta, Modric make Gerrard and Lampard look like Zombies.

Do you wanna compare these duds to Evra and Abidal, I'm sure if Rooney was a left back at the time, he would have had to admire Evra's mazy runs from

the bench, FACT, Up until late 2006, Abidal was one of the best full backs in the world, now that is what I call competition, not those English

overrated piece of turds grin
Abidal? Christ!!!
Do you watch football at all?
Up until 2006, Ashley Cole, Van Bronckhorst, Gabriel Heinze and Maldini were all better than Abidal.

While you are absolutely correct about the defination of world class, how can you say such of Song undecided You mean Song will not bench Mikel or whoever is their DM in Stoke?
Song will bench Mikel Obi?
Not in a million years. Mikel is 1000 times better than Alex Song.
Are we talking about the same Song Fletcher sodomises every time they face each other?
Song ko, Music ni.

Save for his inability to shoot,i dare say Song is quite close to Essien now in the area of marking and positional awareness.
Oh how can i forget Piennar cool
Song close to Essien?
U know what? Song is better than Sammer!!!
Arsenal fans and their exaggerations. Alex Song of all people?
Flamini shytes on him 5000000000000000000000 times.

jalether:
Your definition is way over the top, if we have to go by your definition of what a AC player is, then players like Lampard, Gerrard, Sneidjer
Anelka are not wcp, bescause they cannot walk into Barca first 11 undecided, how you don't see anything wrong with that definition defies logic
How is Gerrard or Lampard world class?
Are you okay?

Jokes apart only four players in the world are better than Song in that position- Essien,Lass, Yaya, Mascherano. he is in my book, a world class player
Fletcher shytes on SONG!!!
Palacios shytes on SONG!!!
Lori Cana shytes on SONG!!!

I have not even mentioned Fellaini, Kompany, Hargreaves and Parker.

MILAN 3  UDINESE 2

Great Performance from Milan Tonight wink
Nesta returned from Injury and fitted in flawlessly and also an excellent performance from Thiago Silva(his injury almost cost us the game as bonera was not up to it and we conceeded twice when he came on)
Lastly an Incredible Performance from Dinho shocked shocked shocked. Created all three goals and should have created 4 as Rino missed an absolute sitter undecided

P:S  We need Thiago Silva fit for next week performance against Man united. Bonera is at best useless. A back two of Silva & Sandro should be able to keep Rooneey & co quiet. My only worry is at full back.  Dinho & Pato would hopefully keep their full backs very busy.
This is why English clubs are at a disadvantage in the Champions League.
Milan are allowed to play on a Friday. . . .Something those morons in the FA will never allow for Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Other leagues in Europe take care of their clubs by working out something but in England, teams play on Sundays before a CL week.

Last season, United played against Villa on Sunday(4pm-6pm) and still played Porto on Tuesday(7.45pm)

what's your definition of a world class player
A world class player is a player that will walk into any team in the world without questions.
Players like Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka, Xavi, Iniesta etc.
Are you sure Song can walk into Stoke FC or Chelsea? Never mind Barca or Inter Milan.

If I receive a pound for every time you have complained about Valencia's seemingly never ending deficiencies, I will be richer than

Duke of Westminster by now.

How could he possibly have improved when you once labelled him as the worst United player this season, if you wanna deny it, there is always a proof,

so go ahead
The standard in Man Utd is quite different to what you have in Wigan or Arsenal.
Rejects like Guiseppe Rossi, Diego Forlan, etc are cult heroes else where but they couldn't get a kick at OT.
Valencia appears the worst because the previous player in that position kinda spoilt OT fans. . . . .Only Messi coulda owned that right flank as if Ronaldo never left. Any other player will always make fans shout FFS every 30 secs. grin

How do you expect him to get more international caps, if he has competitions like Evra and Abidal, try and be reasonable

Your competition will largely determine how many caps you are able to cop for your country

for example, Jimmy Hasselbank despite his exploit in the EPL could only manage 23 caps for Netherlands, he had qualities like Bergkamp,

KLuivert to compete with.
When a player is good, he is good.
How old was Rooney when he led England's attack in Euro 2004?
Clichy has been playing for Arsenal since 2003/4 when Evra and Abidal were in the wilderness.
No excuses, abeg!!!

Song? Fellaini? Agbonlahor? Diaby? Take am easy now.

Shay Given is close but he needs to replicate his form for another 2-3 seasons.

Valencia was a better player at Wigan. If we are to go by logic,do we say Berbatov is now shyte cos he's scored lesser goals in Man U jersey as against what he had in WHL?Plus if you bring even Rory Delap to oldtrafford today,he will be known more for better things that his long throw so Valencia scoring more goals in red devils jersey is no big acheivement.
How can Valencia be a better player @ Wigan?
Don't be deceived by relativity. The fact that he was Wigan's best player is giving you a mirage.
Now that he's surrounded by better players, it appears he is not calling the shots like he normally does at Wigan.

Valencia has improved massively. His runs, his football brain and his positional sense.
He lacked all those @ Wigan where he just pushes the ball to the bye line or unleashes a shot like a twunt.
Valencia looks the real deal these days.

Nah man. . . those focused cameras are rubbish. . . I like it this way.
Focused cameras are the new world order, abeg.
The position of the defenders, strikers and midfielders can be watched in the REPLAY.

The reason he is underrated is cuz we don't really expect too much of brazilian GK
I think Brazil's back three is possibly the strongest of all national teams.
Ceasar, Juan(top 4 defender in serie a) & Lucio
If everyone is fit, England have the best back four in the world.
They have had it for the past 5 years but you can never ever have all of em fit at the same time.
It's a CURSE.
