PoliticsRe: Blood And Oil (New BBC 2 Drama on Niger Delta Crisis) - Episodes 1 and 2 by Sauron1: 6:15pm On Apr 01, 2010
AngieFan:
There are plenty of world class actors of Nigerian descent in the UK that they could have used.

Sophie Okonedo
Chiwetel Ejiofor
Adewale Akin Agbaje
Cyril Nri
Caroline Chikezie
My own cousin - Oris Erhuero- http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0258938/ grin grin grin

They did use David Oyewolo. Perhaps they couldn't afford the others. grin. Anyway, I am tired of the BBC cutting corners when it comes to these things. The South Africans were obviously cheaper to use and while they may be good actors the obviously false Nigerian accents take away from the quality of the production.
I hope you realise Blood & Oil was just a TV drama and not a MOVIE made to generate profit.
Adewale Akin Agbaje and Sophie Okonedo will put a hole in BBC's pocket. They did enough using David Oyelowo(Last King Of Scotland) and Naomi Harris(Miami Vice & 28 Days Later).

Biggest club in the world in terms of what?

The same club that couldnt get a touch on the ball in Rome?
Biggest is not about titles.
Arsenal are bigger than Bayern Munich but they are yet to win in Elite Europe.

These things could be so ridiculuous, guess it is the season for freaky injuries.
Rooney copped one by twisting an ankle when he wasn't even touched, and Cesc "cracked" a bone via the most innocuous of all challenges,or so it seems.
Now let me just enjoy the rest of the season with less tension abeg angry
Rooney wasn't touched? I thunk Gomez stepped on his toes and as he reacted. . . .he twisted his own ankle when he landed .

Without a doubt, our league is the toughest.
38 tough games over a season with FA Cup + Carling Cup + UCL.

Besides, the bottom sides don't just roll-over like Xerez, Hertha Berlin, Hannover96, Livorno and Grenoble
Stoke and Blackburn kick the hell out of top players - rendering most of them useless before the end of the season.

I second Slim, its a nice play on the word Gunners yu've got to admit that much. I don't think its worth deleting. We can take it, at least we've succeeded in staring down the English media without blinking so fargrin grin

The English media seem to have forgotten about y'all.

Sauron, i ain't biased in ANYWAY! tongue
These so-called comments from the Arsenal fans where deleted, I did & will continue to delete offensive comments from all sides.
So how does THAT make be biased?
If you pay attention to details, you will know no one uses the word "Scummies" or "Scumtwats" than Mukina and Debosky on this forum.
Don't get me wrong, it does not bovver Man Utd fans but one law must apply to all n sundry.
If you clean up comments where the word "GAYnners" is used then by the same token, you should delete any comment with "Scummies", "Scumtwats", "Chelski" "Renties" in them regardless of who wrote them.

Better still, lets turn this place into a fellowship where Debosky will lead the prayers every morning with intensive 9 months fasting to satisfy all righteousness.

This is what i like to hear. . . .

Later that hour. . . . .

Rooney injury confirmed

Manchester United have confirmed the extent of Wayne Rooney’s injury, sustained in Tuesday night’s match against Bayern Munich.

A spokesperson told ManUtd.com, “We’re pleased to report that Wayne has not suffered a fracture. The scan revealed only minor ligament damage.”

For now, the club is not commenting on how many games Wayne is likely to miss. However, Sir Alex Ferguson will say more about the matter in his regular press conference at Carrington on Friday morning (09:30 BST).

Wayne could have a cameo appearance against the Nazis on Wednesday.
His previous ankle injuries suggest he will be back within the next 5-7 days.

I think they will get pasted 4-0 in the first half at Camp Nou.
