Beaf: Springing a criminal from jail and foisting him on people through bloodshed will not exactly create saints. samparian: it seems you're a bit wet behind the ears when it come sto politics. CIA meddles in everything. They were in Iran during the 50's coup They sponsored Saddam and later hung him when he stopped working for them They killed MKO Abiola. Yes. he drank tea with them from a two compartment flask and died. its on record in Oputa panel hearing They have a hand in everything that happens in Africa and parts of the world. This is not a conspiracy theory.
Did you also believe that Taylor drove all the way from Calabar to Maiduguri on his own ? believe that, and you'll believe anything Please inform them. |

Western food is mostly taesteless. From the tasteless Mashed potatoes and gravy for teethless people to the unseasoned turkey that is dry. . . but I make my own combo to manage. |

londoner: mandingo, if any history in Nigeria should be preserved its of the Nigerian people.
Its just your AA arrogance that believes all "important" history starts and ends with you.
We should preserve history, I would love first to see that of Hausa, Yoruba Igbo, Ijaw, etc before the history of slavery.
Our history and yours predates slavery.
If you want to see slave ports there is one in badagary and another in Calabar. Its as if you require information to come and tap you on the shoulder before you know its there.
How about you begin research on things before you make assumptions about what does and doesn't exist in Nigeria? Don't waste your time. Your talking to someone who perfers slavery to being in Africa. |

fayahsoul: My empress, the lessons of life tell us that there are usually more than one solution/answer to any given problem and the case of nigeria is no different.
I have emphasized, and will continue to emphasize, the importance of an alternative political organization to what we have now. Economics is an expression of politics; therefore, if the political climate is in disarray then the economy will reflect such.
We need a political structure that effectively checks the various ways and means through which ethnocentrism, inter-group conflict of interests, strong centralization and population size, all breed corruption and upheaval.
A confederation of ethnicities is a possible political organization that would suffice.. I don't think even those suffering are organized enough to realize any of the above and thats just the way the current go-no-where governemt wants it. |

MandingoII: You can show your bony rib cage all you want.
I'd rather eat steak and lobster-tails than pounded yams without spice any day.
enjoy!
Fugg what you talking about
sips pierre' water with baby pinky erect Ignorance is a wonderful thing to lose, though it is a blissful state to be in. Nigerians and other Africans who supposedly do not have spices in their food still exist generation after generation. Plus American food is nothing to be proud of. The dried turkeyw, mashed potatoes and the supposed lobster that is only seasoned with salt and butter. Pounded yam any day any time is healthier and much better. Whatever sha! |

MandingoII: Better to be Locked like a caged animal in a comfortable air conditioned cell with 3 hot meals, cable television and a bed than where you at. Really because. . . The moon was shining very bright one night when a lean, half-starved wolf, whose ribs were almost sticking through his skin, chanced to meet a plump, well-fed house dog. After the first compliments had been passed between them, the wolf inquired: “How is it, cousin dog, that you look so sleek and contented? Try as I may I can barely find enough food to keep me from starvation.” “Alas, cousin wolf,” said the house dog, “you lead too irregular a life. Why do you not work as steadily as I do?” “I would gladly work steadily if I could get a place,” said the wolf. “That’s easy,” replied the dog. “Come with me to my master’s house and help me keep the thieves away at night.” “Gladly,” said the wolf, “for as I am living in the woods I am having a sorry time of it. There is nothing like a roof over one’s head and a bellyful of victuals always at hand.” ‘Follow me.” said the dog. While they were trotting along together the wolf spied a mark on the dog’s neck. Out of curiosity he could not forbear asking what had caused it. “Oh, that’s nothing much,” replied the dog. “Perhaps my collar was a little tight, the collar to which my chain is fastened –“ “Chain!” cried the wolf in surprise. “You don’t mean to tell me that you are not free to rove where you please?” “Why, not exactly,” said the dog, somewhat shamefacedly. “You see, my master thinks I am a bit fierce, and ties me up in the daytime. But he lets me run free at night. It is really very convenient for everybody. I get plenty of sleep during the day so that I can watch better at night. I really am a great favorite at the house. The master feeds me off his own plate, and the servants are continually offering me handouts from the kitchen. But wait, where are you going?” As the wolf started back toward the forest he said “Good night to you my poor friend, you are welcome to your dainties - and your chains. As for me, I prefer my freedom to your fat.” Moral: Lean freedom is better than fat slavery. http://wolfsongalaska.org/housedog_andwolf.html |

MandingoII: Then why everytime I hail a Taxi it is a Nigerian behind the wheel?
Your peeps are LYING TO YOU about their living in America.
I guess driving Taxi pays a nice wage.
certainly they keep a coin or two in their pockets - but I hear they gotta work 16 hour days to earn it. Pays more than being locked up. |
