RomanceRe: American Needs Help by savanaha: 7:07am On Feb 22, 2011
You know in 2011 I can't fathom how people are still being "scammed". Instead of saying this woman is being  "scammed" she should be called a "financial fairy godmother." While the man might or might not be telling her a few choice lies, the decision to send $200/month * 3yrs is her personal financial decision.

I don't know many American men who are willing to date women that are 20 yrs older than them, so I'm not sure why someone would think that a. . .

This incident sort of reminds me a topic where a 50 something year old British grandma went and married a 20 something year old man. When she found out he had been using her, she refused to divorce him.

you most african marry many wives, my cousin married 7 wives and even 2 of them were on the same day. My father has 3 or 4 wives.

This is an african culture. look here is an african man getting married to 4 women on the same day.

look at this woman profile. Her name is Doyin Abiola, she married MKO Abiola even with a PHD. and even train in harvard.  I think as a third wife.

She hold a PhD  in Mass Communication from the State University of New York, USA . Prior to this, she had her Bachelor of Art (Combined Honours) Degree and Master of Art in Journalism from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and University of Wisconsin, Madison, U.S.A

Even with all this degree she became a third wife. How can you  claim she is not educated or was force into the marriage. No way.

It is our culure and believe. You can force your own believe on others.
Most Yoruba men are polygamist. even christain. it is a cultural thing and not islam, but more of Yoruba culture.

Instead of a woman been alone, we marry them into our families. Some time they already have children. Even when we see a woman single a wife sometime ask the husband to marry the woman to become her husband second wife, if she like her .

What degree did Doyin Abiola get from Harvard or what did she study there?

Black people seem to be the ones fooling themselves with this dna genetic marker crap. I dont see other races carrying carrying it on their heads like nigerians. An algerian even came on here to tell you he is white and you`ve still asking if he`s european white or berber white. Smh at the situation.
Hahaha!! I was thinking the same thing.

his mother is Brazilian which is considered west indian and unfortunately that is part of our culture, if we are even just half caribbean we disregard our other side and claim the carib. side as it's "exotic". I am guilty of this too i will admit. Um my mom is W.I. and my dad was (r.i.p) A.A. I do not know why we do it to be honest but if you think about it, its not cool at all. Just like Barbee who's mom is J.A. and her dad is Naija, she only reps her Jamo side despite living in Naija as a toddler. undecided

He should rep Naija as it was his Naija father who put him onto the singing in the first place. he's not the cutest but hes talented! I like his music. But as for ppl saying he doesn't like black women idk because I saw his "Dynamite" video and there is a black chick who he gave a major "spotlight" role on undecided

About black girls in videos this is what he said:
Really?? I have never seen a Brazillian claim West Indian, which geographically makes no sense. Neither have I, before now, seen a Jamaican call Brazil West Indies. Hmm.

CelebritiesRe: Mercy Johnson Looking Fly On Set by savanaha: 2:44am On Feb 14, 2011
I watched a movie with Mercy Johnson, Mr. Ibu and Keziah, an she was carrying that same gold bag. I now realize that this golden purse is probably a cherised possession of Miss Johnson's. I still, however, think that it threw off her entire outfit. AS much as she might like it she did not have to wear it with this particular multi-colored dress.

I am not an expert on womens' fashion. You can tell a lot of replies here are just pure hating,
I doubt its hating. I thought her outfit was cool at first with the various shades of purple from basically head to toe but the gold bag/purse does throw everything else out of whack. I will say I like this outfit compared to a lot of the triangular skirts she wears in movies, however, one of these things is not like the other. Maybe black or white but gold is just offffffffffffffffffff.

How much worse can it get for women. I would vote just to make a point. Absolutely. The way you sound is almost like you know her personally. Voting for her simply because of her ability to lactate. The fact that you admit that she got beat out probably because she is female in a male dominated arena but then in the same breath make fun of her even doing what she is doing shows that you are not a part of the solution. Just my opinion.
Whether I know her personally or not, or know her campaign points really doesn't matter in the end, because I am not even a PDP delegate. I'm not sure you are speaking to me but if you were, there is no where in my post that I admitted that she was beaten because she is in a male dominated area. My point was that it wasn't all the women in Nigeria that had the opportunity to vote so her unnecessary noise making is just that, unnecessary. If people did not see her as a worthy candidate, they did not vote for her, simple! How come the men that were not voted for aren't calling for fire and brimstone on manhood!
I remain on the stance that voting is too important for me to vote for someone just because we have mammary glands. Rather I would vote for someone I support their political view and feel that what they have to offer will help a country move forward.

Did I say that? You picked Clinton and Palin as your examples. Many women voted for them simply because they were women. Many black women voted for Hilary over Obama. If she had 3 votes I would say Nigerian women are about something but not even one. I am willing to bet it is because women in Nigeria do not want to do anything about issues that matter to women. They just want to sit down and cry about how it is a mans world and they have no choice but to live in it. I would have voted for this woman just to make a point. I know she would not win but I would have voted for her. The one vote she got is not something for you to smirk about. As a woman it should make you ask questions. I think what she is doing is commendable. I am just a little irritated that women are the ones mocking her the most
Based on my understanding it was only a pdp primary where only delegated members of the PDP could vote. Now if my understanding is correct, there may not be that many female delegates. But most importantly, personally, I would not vote for someone simply to make a point. What is the purpose of wasting a vote, when I want my vote to really count. Furthermore I think as bad as the political affairs in Nigeria is, I want to hope that female delegates don't just vote for someone who they don't support their political agenda, just to make a point.

So because she's a woman, women should vote for her? What is wrong with her and women of her kind? Panty alliance I swear. I refuse to be a part. When Hillary Clinton ran, I did not vote for her. Sarah Palin nko. Because we are of the same gender does not mean you are best for this country or any other country. XX or XY, if you're silly, you're silly and I won't support him or her.

If that's the only reason Nigerian women should be haunted, make she waka dey go. Other things of which to worry.
That is well funny!!! This Jubril lady is the Sarah Palin of Nigeria. All noise and no action. She must think woman are cows that just vote for other women because the ability to lactate.

Genre: Action/Drama

Starring: Muna Obiekwe

Rating: 80%

A refreshing movie with a refreshing story line. I actually really, really, enjoyed this Nollywood movie. One of the few Nollywood movies that I would be willing to re-watch. I am happy there are still talented script writers in Nigeria. I think the director could have fixed somethings but those mistakes can be ignored because of how good this movie is.

http://www.nigeriahivinfo.com/features/young_woman_infect_men.php

Eno John, 22- year-old  university drop-out,  pretends she is in love with any man that  crosses her path and encourages him to take  her to bed. That, perhaps, ends her  pretensions. Minutes later; she bares her  fangs and comes out in her true colours by  luring her companion into the hotel toilet,  locks him up and escapes with all his  valuables, including cars, where applicable. Until October 30  this year, when she had her  last operation, nobody knew that the Akwa  Ibom State-born trickster is living with HIV.  Not a few of the men that took her to bed  made love to her without being protected.  The most vulnerable are married men who  were enslaved by John's long hair, light  complexion and petite stature. Little did they  know that every contact with John was an  invitation to self-destruction, pity and shock. Her modus opereandi was to entice her victim and lure him to a hotel room. She would then strip unclothed and go into the bathroom. She  would thereafter invite her loverboy to join  her. But what he gets is not a welcome into  her embrace but a treatment that would  leave him looking like a fool. She would lock  the man in the bathroom and then strip him  of all his possessions. John is deviant and unremorseful even in her  present predicament. "Yes, 1  had problems  with my boyfriend. But 1  am not an armed  robber", she told the magazine. She sees  nothing wrong in her using her God-given  treasure to make life better for herself. "I  trick men with my appearance, which is  beautiful and before you know it. I lure them  into the toilet and lock them up before I bolt  away with whatever I could lay my hands on  in their homes or hotel depending on where  we meet for business", she said, displaying a  devil-¬may-care attitude. John is mad with the society. She is bitter that the society murdered her parents in the  avoidable shari’ah-riot that sacked Kaduna  some years ago. She is angry that the society forced her out of the University Of Uyo, where  she claimed she was studying Microbiology.  John is incensed that the same society  pushed her into prostitution. She is also  irritated that married men, including those  old enough to be her father; take advantage  of her unenviable life to exploit her and dump her. She is particularly galled that she is  tagged an armed robber. "I was not using  guns to rob anybody. It is those who were  looking for quick enjoyment when many of  them have wives at home that fall into my  trap". She explained defiantly. Recently, John was arraigned before an Abuja  magistrates' court, which ordered her to be  remanded in prison. John is furious that  authorities of the Nigerian Prison Services,  Suleja rejected her based on her HIV status.  She had gone for an HIV / AIDS test six  months ago shortly after she met one Ebah  Elvis. The romance had been sizzl1 ng as she  sneaks into Abuja to keep Elvis warm,  particularly during the raining season. But the relationship became cold when Elvis informed John that he would soon get married and. . . . . . .

TravelRe: Nigerians Make Demostrations At Nigerian Embassy Rome by savanaha: 1:10am On Jan 28, 2011
Sadly enough while only those Nigerians in Italy are protesting this issue is happening in Nigerian embassies in America. I'm not sure about the "dropping money" but I am sure about the sub par way that those working at the embassies carry out their duties. The stories of people trying to get their passports changed last year in Columbus is just shameful. Also most times trying to contact various departments of the embassy is like physically pulling out a tooth. I remember calling over and over just to get information about a passport I wanted to renew. When someone mistakenly picks up the phone they quickly hangup, and this is the embassy in Washington. How shameful!!
