Sixfeetbelle: Different people with different priorities.
I think the issue here is deciding what's more important to you. I guess you can say I've realised there's something like vanity and I've decided to just find contentment in whatever steps I get to in life. You're right I just went through the thread and I realized my post wasn't necessary I hope you find love though. But one thing I know is that you're emotional tonight prolly because of the movie you watched. It's a phase, sleep on it and you'd be fine tomorrow. People most likely wouldn't find true love while they are looking for it, It just hit you like a train (if it would because some people will never experience true love) The key is to be happy! Have a nice night and fairly tale dreams! |

Chiquitq: when I was still living with my legally married ex husband, we may not be intimate for up to five months in a row. He was so manipulative and sought every opportunity to control to the extent that if he sees that I enjoy it, he stops giving it to you pleasurably. if you show that you need it, it is another reason to abstain from you. It got to a point that I resented him so much that I stopped enjoying sex totally because he was out rightly unfaithful and mentally and physically abusive. Whenever he insists, I had to use a lubricant because he could not make me wet. I did not share this with anyone because they may think I'm the cause of his bad behaviour. it's been over six years since I left him and I've been totally celebate since then. I'm not being faithful to him at all but I can't just imagine a man thinking sex is a weapon to control me. I don't use toys and I don't masturbate. Sex is mostly psychological or I'm probably too broken or distracted to try again ... I'm sorry about that ma'am, according to what you have said the man was very unfair and selfish to you. I think now that you're not with him anymore you should let's go of the past, fix yourself from being broken and start afresh. Try to go out more, enjoy doing a hobby, work more, spend more time with your loved ones and along the line, hopefully you meet a real man that would reignite the spark in you. 6 years is too long to be celibate most especially when you never planned it to be that way. The key is to be happy. I pray and wish you're Happy. You can explain further the word in italics if you wish. |

cooooooks: Everything is wrong and disgusting to you. Chill man, firstly, is it right? I mean, you bought something and you are about to collect your change and the woman brings it out of her bra to give you. Can you confidently collect the money? |
Romance › Re: I Want To Fall In Love by Sawzer(m): 10:55pm On Nov 08, 2020 |
Sixfeetbelle: Chim ooh! Local girl is tired. Ole ihe bu ihe nkaa?
The Genesis of the matter.
I just finished watching a romantic movie and I've been sighing longingly for over an hour. What is in this "love" that people are falling into everyday yet I've been unlucky in finding that place? And although I hear people say "there's no love in Nigeria", I can't help but doubt them when I see my timelines on Facebook. Wedding every Saturday, love in the air. Or is there own feem trick?. Does love segregate?
What pushed me to write this thread?
I just realised that as old as I am, I've never been in love before and I'm suddenly coming to the unpalatable conclusion that at the rate I'm going, falling in love may never happen to me (wails uncontrollably). I want to love somebody's son and I want somebody's son to love me back. Is it hard to do?
There was a time I thought I knew how to achieve this feat but conditions are not favoring my initial plans of travelling abroad, doing a whirlwind romance and falling in love like they portray that they do over there, so I've decided to cut my coat according to my cloth, literally, and just do the type practiced here. So early this year, I made a research (Aproko) on how best to achieve this and voila: Nairaland Romance section popped up in brilliant hues.
Romance-land and the word "love"
But contrary to my expectations, romanceland has failed woefully in trying to help me attain this goal (these peeps here don't know what love is). With their incessant need to discuss on repetition topics ranging from preeks and kitten to redpill and feminism, even broke guys and entitled ladies all day long, I've found it hard to actually pinpoint a topic/thread that centers/teaches on love and how to fall in it. Thus asking, should I consult another section and try my luck over there? Maybe politics section? Those guys over there "sound" vicious enough and since the violent taketh it by force...
What I need?
So I've taken it upon myself to make the necessary clarion call on behalf of all the single people like me who has never been in love before, and for those who wish to experience it again to get the directions they need. As I am ignorant about how to go about falling in love, I'd implore those with expertise to help us with plentiful knowledge on the matter so that we can all learn and apply it.
Specifically, I need clarification on: where the entrance called "love" is located so I can go and fall inside or is that it is no longer accepting applications at this time? Has the door of love finally closed?
Thank you.
Disclaimer: Any attempt, or attempted attempt or attempt to attempt to disrupt, disintegrate, dismember or disjoin the appendages of this piece shall be met with muted silence and overlook of the highest frequency. All plans to prove your careless disregard for the topic shall be treated with unwavering nonchalance. Be warned. It's somehow mutual too, I've never been in love but I don't think I'm really worried about that. Or should I be? My worry has been how I'd be able to get all the material things I would love to have like a 2020 BMW M8 competition Gran-coupé, travel around the world and eat different dishes. I'm more worried about being broke because I'm materialistic. I also wish to impact the world positively, especially Nigeria. If I'm blessed with enough money, I'll like to take care of the poor, disabled, sick, etc. |

I believe you both have a point, religious beliefs is just the barrier. Logically I'll go with MrTAnonymous but I don't think the opinion is necessary. Great arguments from you both! So matured, unlike what we have on most thread in Nairaland. Insult just to make a point. |

nwaezeemmanuel: Depends on who is wearing it.
Some wear it for protection, to cover up their nipples or the whole breast from being too showy - especially if they have big pairs.
Some just need the support and lift to give a decent cleavage - reason for push-up bras.
All the same, it is the woman's choice to make in the end. Oh well! |

Romance › Re: Ladies Why Do You Put Money In Your Bra? by Sawzer(m): 6:43pm On Nov 08, 2020 |
Charleys: Most ladies put money in their bra, I want to know why? The breast is a private party. Men have only one?
Will you be happy if you went to buy something from a man and he puts his hands in his boxers to give you change?
Have you been molested before, it's very hard to molest a market woman in the market and get all her money from her, it's rare. So intimidation is out of the way.
So why do you put money in your bra?
Younger women are also not left out.
The bigger the breast, the more money in it and the more a man needs to squeeze it to spray out the money.
My research shows that a purse will be outdated in a few years due to the bra holding all the money. So why do you hold a purse when all the money is in ya breast? We need to ask these questions.
I need explanation. It's actually very wrong, disturbing and disgusting |

Psych412: most everything be related with "house chores"
there are women who enjoy starving/punishing there husband with sex.
I have an aunt who gist my mother how she deprives her husband sex anytime she gets angry (either with her husband or any other person).
sometimes, she always love how her husband begs for sex(it makes her feel on top).
most women in Nigeria destroyed thier marriage with thier hands.
soon they will be claiming victim on social media Coming from a female |

Zzor: It is only masculine men that are head of families ooo and not the one's that share bills with their wives It's fine. That means feminism doesn't make sense because feminism supports it (equality). Lool at the good ol' days when things were perfect, there wasn't feminism. There wasn't the issue of men splitting bills with their wives either and other related "un-manly stuff". If I start mentioning the roles that men and women play then it would look like I'm berating women now because of this feminism ish. Those days, they lived happy. Now we are just mixing responsibility anyhow because we are feeling cheated. |

One thing I learnt from the days when marriage flourished is that "A woman's money is hers and a Man's money is for the family.
That was then when Men were MEN and Women were WOMEN. Now, everyone wants to be playing each other's role and be demanding equality instead of equity.
We've fuc.ked of the system and it obviously can't be reversed and we'll keep repeating this kind of stories till eternity. The blame goes to both party. |
