Please gurus in the house, for visa purposes on this journey, is tax clearance mandatory? I have pension documents but no tax clearance because I work in a Govt Establishment and my taxes are deducted directly from the source. The income tax deducted is also shown on all my payslips. |

Hi Folks, Please I just received pre-invite from SA 190 today Meanwhile I already paid for 491 NSW RDA application (AUD 800) two days ago. Can I still go ahead and apply for SA since its for 190? will it disqualify me as double entry @ DHA if both selects my application? |

I've been reading about WA, Please, does it mean that if your occupation is not on the WAMOL Schedule 1 or WASMOL Schedule 2, you cant apply to WA for nomination?
Secondly, I dont think WA requires ROI. I've searched through the state's webpage and can't seem to find any link for their ROI. I guess they only require EOI. |

NHQGUY: From my many research on the subject of deduction and claiming points. You can go ahead and indicate (claim points) for the period that was deducted in your EOI, as long as you have enough documents to verify it.
Besides, if you count from September till now. Even with the deduction, you’ve landed in 8years. Thanks. |

I received a Positive Assessment from Vetassess today. I thought it was going to be a Certificate . It was just a letter. The funny part was that they removed 1 year from my work experience, and instead of 9 years, I was given 7.66 (as at Sept 2022). My question is can I still claim 8 yrs? I understand that 8 yrs can give 20 points. @ Tunlex, please how can I strategically cast my net for an ITA? Apply to Skillselect for EOI 189 only, then visit the States (perhaps 3 different States) and apply for ROI 190? separately with same email? |

Bodacious1: Hi again house,
Please what's the procedure if you receive two separate EOI invitations for 189 (for SA and NSW)? Can I just pick any one to apply? Also, if I pick either one, can I choose a completely different intended state as residence? Your help/response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. This your question is confusing to beginners like me o! I thought that 189 is not state-dependent? i.e you are not bound to stick to any state! BTW, Queensland requires POF on this journey! |

tunlex01: You are correct. That was an error on my part. I have edited my initial post Thanks. I noticed you prefer separating 190 and 491...i.e it seems you'ld rather have them on separate EOIs. Any reason for this? can you not have them both on the same EOI? i.e tick both 190 and 491 on same EOI? |
Travel › Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Saynoomore: 9:17pm On Dec 12, 2022 |
tunlex01: To get nomination, register multiple EOIs on the 'federal portal' like you call it. For each EOI, select one state and indicate if you want 491 or 190 and if your occupation is on the 189 list, add it to the list. For example, EOIa - NSW 190 (tick the 189 box too) EOIb - NSW 491 only EOIc - SA 190 (tick the 189 box) EOId - SA 491 You should create at least 4 to open up your chances. You can use same email address but note down your EOI numbers and passwords.
Then monitor each state migration website for their nomination requirements. For example, NSW requires ROI for 491 but not for 190. If a state nominates your occupation and you did not create EOI for them, you can create a new one asap or modify one of the EOIs you have to that state. The state points are automatically added when you select the visa class on EOI. The federal draw is only for 189 and not for 190/491 If you apply for ROI in SA for example and you meet the requirement, you will get a pre-invite to submit documents to the state within 14 days. After which the state will approve your nomination and you get ITA directly from your EOI. THanks again for this post. Ive been reading more about these! However, I have a question..."Why create multiple 189s"? I thought that with one 189, you can decide to migrate to any state. Would it not suffice to simply select 189 for one EOI - since 189 is not for state! Then create for each of the states new EOIs while selecting 190 and 491 for each of the states. E.g 1. EOIa 189 2. EOIb NSW (tick 190 & 491) 3. EOIc SA (tick 190 & 491) etc etc... Secondly please can you kindly provide a list of which of the states would require creating ROIs? I've been searching this information online...so far, I've only observed that Victoria and SA require ROI. Is there any other states that would request for ROI? |

Olubukolaalice: @saynoomore..Thank you for the response.. pls can I send transcripts before finishing my VETASSESS application (payment) because it actually takes time to process it. Do I need a reference number just like WES before I’m able to send my transcripts? You are advised to send it as early as you can! No, you don't need a reference number. However, ensure that a certified true copy of your Certificate is enclosed with the transcript. |

For those who have received ITA and submitted required documents, Please how true is it that, Police Clearance/Character Certificate is required for every country you have visited in the past ten (10) years? Is this irespective of the duration of visit? e.g if I visited for only 2 weeks would I be required to present a PCC? I don go South Korea o! I wonder where to start from in getting their PCC! |
